Readers here don’t need me to tell them that the Election of 2016 has been, currently is, and will be unlike any other in the history of the United States of America.
Those following the political candidates closely are all waiting for the next shoe to drop.
(Well…Hillary’s already did while getting into the van! Now don’t get all bent out of shape! It’s a joke…you’re supposed to laugh!)

Regular readers here know that from the very beginning, I wasn’t thrilled with either candidate. I have stated in past posts that I need to be a NEVER HILLARY voter, but Trump disturbs me as well. I have stated that he would be light-years better than Hillary, but that’s just my observational opinion.

I have blogging friends who have been sounding the alarm about Trump.
I have a blogging friend who deleted my blog from their blog roll list because I’m not enthusiastically supporting Trump.
I have friends who are very pro-Trump, very anti-Trump (and vow to write in a candidate of their chosing), semi-pro Hillary (with the caveat that “at least we know what to expect from her” meme), and, of course the anti-Hillary/NEVER HILLARY ones who know all too well about the Democrat machine of stealing elections, all the years of Clinton corruption, the obviousness of HilLIARy lies, the terrible health problems plaguing her (which they try to hide from the public), and the fact that the horrid billionaire backer Georgevil Soros will do everything sick and sinfully humanly possible to get her elected.
Sheesh…
Anyway, I saw a commercial last night during Hannity’s TV show on Fox where Franklin Graham was offering a free copy of Decision magazine’s guide to the 2016 Election.

Franklin Graham
I signed up to get a copy today and the message I got was “allow 4-6 weeks for delivery” which means I may get it as late as November 2nd! If you want a copy, I suggest going to that link and ordering it now!
During my search for the Decision magazine link, I ran across an older article at The Political Insider claiming that Franklin Graham is supporting Donald Trump.
Comments there are varied. Some are stating that it is right for Graham to support Trump because of his positive stand on Israel. After all, Scripture tells us:
Gen 12:1
Now the LORD had said to Abram:
“Get out of your country,
From your family
And from your father’s house,
To a land that I will show you.Gen 12:2
I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.Gen 12:3
I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
So…on that one very important issue, Franklin Graham got it right! As Christians, we are to bless Israel.
We know that the current inhabitant in the White House and his Badministration didn’t bless Israel! In fact, he and his Muslim Brotherhood sycophants showed attitudes of cursing Israel! 0bama only pretended to be a Christian during the election of 2008, yet God allowed the people of our nation to naively vote for him. In hindsight, we see what a liar Hussein has been for 8 long and dreadful years. Recall how the people “clamored for a political ‘messiah’,” and ended up voting for BHO – the worst pResident in history!
Christians might ask, “where was God in all of this?”
Answer: He was teaching us a hard lesson. What we need now is repentance!
We had another chance to change course in 2012. But the people were still too blind to see that the “change” 0bama professed for America was more like chains of socialism and dependency. Less people voted for BHO (plus there was much evidence of vote fraud), but apparently, too many people wanted their free “gimmies” and didn’t care about jobs, the economy, the Supreme Court selections and judges around the country; or the terrible errors in the war against radical Islamic terrorism, (etc…name the poison) to change course just yet.
Today, it’s a totally different story! Millions more people have been awakened and now know that they were hoodwinked and don’t want four more years of 0bama’s dreadful policies via HilLIARy Clinton!
So…what is the call of God for Christian voters? For me, the answer is in these Bible verses:
2Ch 7:14
“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
2Ch 7:15
“Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.

This is actually God giving us what we’ve asked for: released to our own depravity. We are literally in Germany 1930’s and making the same exact choices they made then.
Many have forgotten (or never knew) that Hitler started by winning over the church. It was only after it was too late that he changed and turned on them. But he started by promising to restore the nation, get back at Germany’s enemies and to protect the church. Sound familiar?
On the other side of Hitlers National Socialism was the International Socialist movement (we call it Communism). Again, we have forgotten that this was Hitler’s primary political enemy in Germany. The Communists had the unions, so Hitler had to walk both sides between trying to win over the unions and destroying them. It is also why Hitler used the color red in his NAZI Party motif — to appeal to the Communists. Hitler said they were cousins (National and International Socialists).
Today, Hillary represents the International Socialist and Trump the National Socialist — and a Christian has no business supporting EITHER system. Socialism is government as god, and that is idolatry. The problem is that believers have strayed so far from where we are supposed to be that we no longer recognize such things for what they are. 😦

Sadly, this is what has concerned me all along about Trump.
Obama lied about himself being “Christian” and was able to use, then turn against, Christian believers.
How can we know that Trump won’t do the exact same thing if elected?
I must admit that prior to your posts comparing Trump’s rise in politics to Hitler’s (as you wrote, the pre-Holocaust Hitler of the 1930’s) I didn’t know that Hitler “won over the church” in Germany.
People against Trump are often citing his various sins as “proof” that he isn’t a true Christian. Did some research on that and shared what I found out in this post. If he followed the heresy of Paula White’s prosperity gospel, then he wasn’t saved by the true Gospel of Jesus Christ!

I make my living from the WW II era, so I know the history: that of the war, and the periods leading up to and following it. There is a reason we no longer teach the true history of Hitler’s rise to power: because it would reveal the evil at work in our nation now, today. This is why the evil forces at work here have turned any mention of Hitler into a sign of bigotry, hatred and/or racism. Evil twists, and it has twisted the minds of the lost so that they simply will not listen to those who try to explain Truth — including history. Sadly, I fear this twisting now includes a great many believers, as well 😦

It would be great if Trump gets in and as a result, exposes all of the corruption of the Uniparty in Washington, DC. It would be great if he ends up doing what he claims he will do in his campaign speeches. It would be great if he could be trusted. But the Bible tells us that “the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked…who can know it?”
Even Reagan, whom I greatly admired, got into trouble when he tried to alleviate the illegal immigration problem. We all know how that worked out. Ended up granting amnesty to those who were here, but didn’t close the border.
Today, there is too much money to be made for career politicians to EVER change. I heard that the Bushes are supporting HiLIARy. How can this be? Answer: because they are all part of the Uniparty.
Recently saw a campaign commercial against a local R congressmen, Darrell Issa. The opponent made the claim that since Issa has been in office, he is now worth $250 million dollars! How did he get all that money? Sounds very fishy to me.
It is the “everybody’s doing it” mentality that got us into this huge mess! Congress holds all of these “hearings” regarding corrupt schemes being carried out…yet NO ONE gets prosecuted! Why? Because everyone is making $ through gaming the system.
They may get away with their sins here on this earth. But one day, they will face the judgment of God and they won’t have any excuse for their unrepentant hearts and their sinful and evil behavior at the foot of His Throne.
Trump supporters are hoping that he will expose such corruption and put an end to all the pay-to-play schemes going on in politics. Sounds great…doesn’t it? However, what if he gets sucked into the fray and joins them once he gets in there?
I find it difficult to trust anyone in politics anymore. It’s a sad state of affairs. We are so far from the Constitutional Republic that was started by our Founding Fathers that it looks almost impossible to return. Makes me very sad to see all the corruption that has transpired over the course of my lifetime…that’s for sure!
America has fallen into darkness, disobedience, indifference and sinfulness. We need to humble ourselves to the Lord and turn from our wicked ways. Those of us who are Christians need to preach the true Gospel of Christ, which can’t be done without teaching the need for repentance at the foot of the Cross of Christ. We need to ask forgiveness for our sins and humbly ask for Almighty God to heal our land!
I wish I could say that we have leaders currently in government who understand the times and know what we should do. Therefore, we need to seek out God and His written Word, the Bible, and most importantly, His Living Word, Jesus Christ in order to bring revival back to our land.

I like that saying, “if donkeys and elephants ever get you down, try the Lamb.” It’s a good reminder for us to keep our eyes where they matter, to dabble in politics, but to keep your center focused on the One who really matters so you don’t drown in the cesspool.
