Democrats Play Book: Silencing The Voices of Conservative Americans

September 8, 2014

I do not always agree with what Mitch McConnell says or does; especially when it come down to his inaction on certain issues either because of “political correctness” or because of the  fear of losing his cushy job in the Senate.  However, sometimes the timid GOP Senator surprises us conservatives and comes through by rightly calling out the Dems in the Senate for their constant partisan [more like hate-filled lies against Christians, conservatives, the TEA Party etc.] agenda.  Conservatives tried to warn voters WAY back  before the 2008 election that the leftist progressives (especially BHO) LIE and often spew hatred and hostility against anyone (or ANY group) that disagrees with their Lucifer-loving Saul Alinsky hell-bent DESPICABLE agenda.

Andrea Lafferty of the Traditional Values Coalition sent me an email today where she shared an excerpt of, and link to McConnell’s latest op-ed from Politico.

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell wrote a blistering column this week calling out Senate Democrats for putting their partisan agenda before the American people:

Democrats who control the Senate say they’re more interested in repealing the free speech protections the First Amendment guarantees to all Americans. Their goal is to shut down the voices of their critics at a moment when they fear the loss of their fragile Senate majority. And to achieve it, they’re willing to devote roughly half of the remaining legislative days before November to this quixotic anti-speech gambit… For months, the Senate has done little more than consider more creative ways to save the jobs of Democratic politicians in November. Yet at a time when millions of Americans are unemployed, middle-class families struggle each month just to pay the bills, the government is failing our veterans and serious crises overseas only seem to grow worse by the day, Democratic leaders shouldn’t be focused on legislative show-votes, including their latest attempt this week to silence the voices of the American people. Instead, they should work with Republicans to help these Americans out. That means, as a start, clearing the dozens of jobs bills already passed by the Republican-led House of Representatives. It also means helping us pass any number of bipartisan proposals aimed at kicking the economy into gear, helping alleviate the stresses and financial burdens on working families and formulating true bipartisan health reform that doesn’t punish the middle class the way Obamacare does. All of this is within reach and easily doable if Democrats would only put aside their political playbook for once.

Despite facing consistently high employment rates, terrorist threats, a porous border, and increasing health care costs, the Democrat controlled Senate is instead focusing on a package of poll-tested bills designed to appeal to their base in a desperate effort to save their hides in November –including legislation that would strip free speech protections in an effort to silence critics To Democrats in Washington, its only free speech when it applies to them and their allies.

Read the rest of Mitch McConnell’s column here.

Sincerely, Andrea Lafferty
