GQ says the Bible is one of the most overrated books

Before I get to the GQ article, I also wanted to share that while I was watching “Fox and Friends” this morning, there was a segment where Dr. Oz was interviewed because of his heroic effort when he stopped to help after seeing a bus on fire on the side of the road.   It wasn’t the first time he had done this.  In the past, he also stopped upon seeing other accidents that had happened; in an effort to help anyone who may have needed to be rescued.  His decision to help (while many cars just drove past the burning bus) is quite admirable.

However, during the Fox and Friends interview, he said something that I thought was very odd.  While discussing the concept of evil, he said,   “Evil is not when bad people do bad things.  That is going to happen.  Evil is when good people watch bad people do bad things.”

What???  Isn’t evil both of those things?  Dr. Oz only focused on just one concept (his own belief, apparently) of evil and that sounded very odd to me.

Dictionary.com attempts to explain the term “evil,” but noticeably avoids any reference to the Bible’s definitions/explanations about the term and the source of it.

occurs 485 times in 457 verses in the NKJV.

So, why would Dictionary.com not include at least some reference to the Bible regarding that term?  Maybe even one like this verse:

Jhn 3:19 – “And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Perhaps Todd Starnes latest article, The Bible gets a bad review from GQ Magazine — Although it’s the bestselling book in history helps explain not only why an online dictionary editor might make the choice to eliminate any reference of the term “evil” being discussed and defined by the Bible, but also why a magazine like “GQ” would choose to give a bad review about the best selling book in history!

Excerpt from the GQ article:

“The Holy Bible is rated very highly by all the people who supposedly live by it but who in actuality have not read it. Those who have read it know there are some good parts, but overall it is certainly not the finest thing that man has ever produced. It is repetitive, self-contradictory, sententious, foolish, and even at times ill-intentioned.”

Starne’s reply is quite humorous and shares the GQ editor’s foolishness as well:

As a longtime Southern Baptist, I’ve grown accustomed to such foolish declarations from the “enlightened” crowd. I suspect the highbrow editors at GQ Magazine would not know the difference between John the Baptist and Balaam’s Ass.

There are many Bible passages and verses that I could cite here. One of the best is John Chapter 8. Many people know one or two familiar verses from that chapter:

John 8:31
Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.
John 8:32
“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

But I suggest reading the entire chapter because it is one of many segments in the Bible that shares the Gospel of Truth; and yet, the ending verse of the chapter shows how easily unrepentant men will reject Jesus and the truth that He shares.

Todd Starnes writes:

The truth is the Bible documents the greatest story ever told – a story about agape love and sacrifice and redemption – everlasting life.

And it’s also the best-selling book of all time – more than 5 billion copies sold, according to Guinness World Records, which also reports that the whole Bible has been translated into 349 languages and says at least one book of the Bible has been translated into 2,123 languages. Statistics Brain estimates even more Bibles have been printed – just over 6 billion.

“The Holy Bible is God-breathed, it is living and active, and it is sharper than a double-edged sword,” the Rev. Franklin Graham wrote on Facebook. “There is nothing more powerful, and there’s nothing more needed by mankind than the Word of God.”

Graham, the president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, explained that the subject of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation is Jesus Christ.

“And one day soon, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord,” he declared.

Now far be it from me to tell the pompous, erudite, literary crowd at GQ Magazine what books they should and should not read, but they might want to glance at John 3:16 before they kick the bucket. It states “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Wow! That is a great graphic illustrating the corruption, deceit, evil, lies, etc. of the Obummer BADministration, as well as what we would have horribly endured under (I shudder to think it!) HiLIARy in office instead of President Trump!

God heard our prayers in 2016 and in His Sovereignty, guided Donald J. Trump to run for the Republican nomination, and then win the Presidency! Thank you, Lord Jesus!

I continue to pray that the Deep State swamp is finally exposed (and drained!) for all the American people to see; and for those who are involved in such evil – that they get arrested, tried, prosecuted and put in jail for their egregious crimes!

If you have any relatives or friends who are (unfortunately) watching the fake news media of mass deception stations (I know people who are continually being fooled by the liars in media, and it’s tough to convince them of the propaganda being spewed daily), show this essay to them so that they can be much more informed about what has been going on and why so many fake news proponents on TV who are on the liberal- leftist side of politics (and, are obviously still bitter about HiLIARy losing the election!) tried so hard to push a false narrative in order to destroy President Trump’s election and his positive, America First agenda for the American people!

Aligning with a false Christ – condoned by Bethel church.

Today, I read about an extreme example of false doctrine which any true Christian would most likely immediately recognize.

How?

People who do not know the Gospel of Jesus Christ, aren’t born again, and have probably never read a Bible might succumb to the deceivers and liars (explained in the link below) who are obviously following evil spirits.

Just because a hedonistic group puts the name of Christ into its heretical, apostate, and wicked cult title, doesn’t mean that they are teaching, preaching, or following the true Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Outwit Infinite Wisdom and Countermine Providence Itself?

Very good analysis and explanation of what Soros is all about and the evil that he is continually doing through wreaking havoc upon our nation; as well as the lies he is trying to perpetuate under the fake, dishonest, and anti-God guise of doing “good.”

After reading your essay, this verse came to mind:

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Soros and his evil minions are perfect examples of this! I truly pity those who have been so blinded by Satan that they think that this horrible man is doing “good.”

An early & important whistleblower was David Horowitz. His & Richard
Poe’s book “The Shadow Party” outlined in detail how Soros hijacked
the Democratic Party, and how he owns it lock, stock, and barrel. Soros has
been packing the Democratic Party with radicals, and ousting moderate Democrats for a long time.

The Shadow Party became the Shadow Government,which became the Obama Administration. While Soros doesn’t (yet) completely own the Republican Party, his tentacles are spread throughout it. Nonetheless, he’s said, “my goal is to become the conscience of the world.” We can imagine the results of this sociopath being “the conscience of the world”. Yicks!

I don’t know why any leader in America would not ban Soros from this country!  Other nations have done that!  The answer must be the usual one:  They DO NOT want to lose the power and money that this real–life “Dr. Evil” affords them!

Unfortunately, it is not only the leftist crazies in Washington D.C. that turn a blind eye to the damage this billionaire has been doing to America and around the world, but some of the GOPe (stands for “establishment Republicans”) are just as guilty!

The term “evil” appears 485 times in 457 verses in the NKJV of the Bible!  Mankind has a conscience given by God so he has NO EXCUSE for not knowing what is evil.  Nor, does he have any excuse for perpetuating evil in life!

In the Old Testament, Aaron described it this way:

Exodus 32:22 So Aaron said, “Do not let the anger of my lord become hot. You know the people, that they are set on evil.

Without God in their lives, mankind is “set on evil.”

Rush: Liberals see right wing as bigger threat than Islam.

WND has an article up today where radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh makes the claim that conservatives are a bigger threat to liberals than Islam.

The host said the cultural transformations happening in Europe give Americans a glimpse into their own future unless they act now.

We’re trying to take it away from them. We’re trying to beat them in elections. That’s not allowed. That will not happen. We pose too big a threat to them. They could peacefully co-exist with all these other people. They’re on the same place in the political prism. They’re both out there on the left. Both have the same common enemy: The United States, Great Satan.”

Limbaugh said liberals find America an unjust and immoral place because its founding included slavery, while Islamic terrorists come to the same conclusion because the U.S. is populated with infidels.

“You listen to the ex-president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and you couldn’t tell the difference in what he says about America than Joe Biden on the campaign trail, or Obama,” said Limbaugh.

“They talk about this country in identical ways. They talk about Republicans in identical ways. We are their biggest threat, making us their central enemy. The American left, Democratic Party, and liberalism worldwide, its enemy is conservatism. Conservatism, if ever it succeeded – really succeeded – would vastly shrink the source of power, wealth and existence for all these people, and that is government.”

I found the following photo back in 2010 which was taken during an anti-Israel march in San Fransicko.

Notice what is in the photo below.  The man holding the sign is wearing Muslim terrorist garb.  The man walking next to him is wearing a commie red t-shirt with the image of Che Guevara!

How ironic that the Muslim man is holding that sign (below)!  Here’s a quote from Che Guevara that may explain their union of nefarious ideologies:

The following is an excerpt from my former Talk Wisdom blog essay entitled, Why The Unholy Alliance of Islam and Communism? Taqiyya?

What those two men (seen in photo below, marching together, BTW, in an anti-Israel demonstration during the Bush presidential years) represent is the forming of an alliance between radical Islam and Communism!  Also, notice what the sign says:  “Thank You S.F. (San Francisco) Liberals – You Die Last.”  How ANYONE could possibly support either group is beyond any semblance of reason!  Liberals are being USED by both!  Yet they are either complicit in either ideology or just too damn ignorant to realize it!

I thought that the evil alliance of radical Islam and Communism (Putin and his ilk) would one day need to battle against each other for dominance of the world. This may still happen. Perhaps the caliphate-hungry Iran is using Communist Putin in the usual Muslim deceptive tactics known as al Taqiyya?  Muslims might join together and tolerate Communists in an old taqiyya-style kind of temporary alliance.  Why?  Because of their joined hatred of Israel!  They are uniting with the intended plan of making a future collaborated attempt at destroying Israel!

But then, which one [Islam or Communism] will ultimately win out?

Well, this terrorist’s quote shows what radical Islam believes:

This morning, I opened my email and found a copy of the following article in my inbox.

The Armenian Genocide and my grandmother’s secret

‘A distant signal was given – it sounded something like a trumpet

To me, the title was terribly horrifying and fearful;  yet at the same time also intriguing. I wanted to know what David Kupelian’s grandmother had told him regarding this “secret” and the “signal of something like a trumpet.”

Never in my wildest dreams did I think such an article would hit me SO HARD, that I became, quite frankly, speechless!

Later on, I went back to the article to read the comments there. They varied in scope, but many reiterated the truth of the matter regarding how people can be mind-controlled and taken in by such evil that they would do such horrendous atrocities against people with whom they formerly were “friendly.”

It is difficult to just “excerpt” the article here, but I will share a few beginning paragraphs.

Decades ago when I was very young, my grandmother, Mary Kupelian, told me a haunting story I’ve wondered about ever since.

As I sat in the kitchen of her cozy little home in Bethesda, Maryland, eating her delicious homemade bread and talking about a frequent topic – the Armenian Genocide, which she and my dad (as a little boy) had barely survived – she shared with me the following enigma.

“The Turkish people are very hospitable people,” she said with surprising warmth, seeing as they had murdered her husband and dozens of other members of her extended family, just a few of the 1.5 million Christian Armenians killed by the Turks during the first genocide of the 20th century. Grandmom knew the Turkish people well, not just from having grown up in southern Turkey, but from having returned several times to the “old country” later in life, during more quiescent times.

However, continuing her story, she intimated to me that the Muslim Turks lived under the spell of strange forces.

“They were very hospitable and would invite you in,” she said. “But, if a distant signal was given – it sounded something like a trumpet – then they would instantly change, and would attempt to harm you. Yet if the signal sounded again, they would immediately switch back to normal.”

“Even,” she added by way of illustration, “if they had injured you after the first signal, as soon as the second signal sounded, they would bind up the very wounds they had inflicted on you.”

As I said – a very, very strange tale, with overtones of “The Manchurian Candidate” and its post-hypnotic suggestions (remember the Queen of Diamonds?) triggering murderous, pre-programmed behavior.

That story, so pregnant with hidden significance, has remained gestating in my mind for all these decades since my grandmother matter-of-factly shared it with me over her kitchen table. It has piqued my interest especially in recent years, as I have endeavored in my writing to sort out and make some sense of a world so powerfully controlled by dark forces.

It is VERY important that each one of you read it all! You will be shaken…I guarantee it! The content is gripping! The photos are alarming! The where-with-all of Kupelian’s grandmother in the midst of such evil and suffering is truly brave, courageous and commendable!

But the conclusion of the article will – quite frankly – stun you! I was stunned…and cannot even comment completely on it yet!

It may stir your mind (as it did mine!) in ways that previously may have been viewed (by me) as just “words on a page” when it comes to “forgiving those who trespass against us!”

It connects the first verse with the following verses (spoken by Jesus Himself) in such a way that informs us why Jesus said, “Forgive them Father, for they know not what they are doing” as he was nailed to the cross!

I am afraid that the darkness is prevailing over the light, as the darkness has been invited where once the light was dominant. Only the Lord can smother the darkness again. In recent posts, I have attempted to steer clear of all the scandals going on in this current wretched government.  However, it is difficult to not point out the terrible treasonous and traitorous crimes that the current puppet in the White House is being told to inflict upon our beloved nation by one of the country’s worst enemies – George Soros.  He, along with the Muslim Brotherhood (which has been meeting at the White House so often there must be a path worn through the grass), are creating a putrid stew of evil actions, scenarios, propaganda, and deadly events that are drastically harming the USA; and have the ultimate intention of completely destroying all that we hold dear in our country.

Doesn’t matter.

After all, there was a large segment of the population in Hitler’s Germany that “worshipped” the dictator.  They closed their eyes to the reality of what Hitler was actually doing; believing the propaganda that was being spewed to their countrymen. And, for years the horrible evils of The Third Reich seemed to flourish.  Except, of course, when the Allied Nations (including the United States) entered the war and stopped what at first, seemed to be the unstoppable evil of the Nazi regime.

It took a lot of blood, lives, maimed and injured soldiers, heroism, and treasure to accomplish. The Greatest Generation will continue to go down in history as the generation that saved the world from destruction by the evils of Nazism, tyranny, Communism, Imperialism and totalitarianism.

Unfortunately, the generations after the Baby Boomers have been too distracted by their own selfishness, video games, iPhones, and online communities to even notice that what is happening via the Obama/Soros regime is as dangerous as all the “isms” of the past. But now, we have radical Islamism to add into the swirling cesspool pit – which is hell-bent and designed to take both Israel and America into submission; with the ultimate goal being power, suppression of freedoms, and ultimately, the  satanic goal of every evil regime:  physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual harm and death.  Satan’s playbook never changes – just the chessboard zombies who have succumbed to the evil one do.

Well, we now have our own type of Nazi regime – this one could be labeled the Communist/Islamo-Fascist Progressive Horror regime.  Unlike in Hitler’s case, this Evil Machine is being led by a shadow government; which isn’t so shadowy to those of us who do their research and are paying attention.

In a stunningly accurate and compelling opening statement,  Judge Jeanine Pirro  tells it like it is – and courageously calls for Zero’s removal from office.  The high crimes that are piling up cannot be tolerated anymore.  Something NEEDS to be done.  But will it?  Only God knows when and how it will happen.

Whatever the context, when you let things slide – one after another – the foundation deteriorates. Even water sliding down a rock begins to wear at it and break it down. And like that rock, our very existence is in jeopardy. Barack Obama has put us in that jeopardy yet again.

The latest: exchanging a man whose own platoon soldiers call a “deserter,” who voluntarily left his unit during combat – in itself a death-eligible crime – for five of the worst Taliban terrorists in Gitmo.

Obama sends out old faithful Susan Rice to say this of Bowe Bergdahl:

“He served the United States with honor and distinction.”

What? Even the White House had to re-spin that.

Now Susan, isn’t English your first language? Weren’t you briefed on what to say? And not for nothing, don’t you know that those Sunday morning talk shows are a danger zone for you? But then again, that despicable video lie got you moved up to national security adviser.

And ironically, the reason for the trade:

“What we did was ensure that as always the United States doesn’t leave a man or a woman on the battlefield.”

Pray tell, Susan, is it OK to leave some behind?

The trade surprised even Congress:

“It comes with some surprise and dismay that the transfers went ahead with no consultation, totally not following the law.”

And that’s a Democrat!

Enter our president:

“We had a prisoner of war whose health had deteriorated, and we were deeply concerned about and we saw an opportunity and we seized it, and I make no apologies for that.”

But when key senators didn’t buy the “ill” excuse, a new narrative emerged: the Taliban would kill Bergdahl if you followed U.S. law and told Congress. Seriously?

Mr. President, my sources tell me you knew Bergdahl’s location for months. Why didn’t you send in SEAL Team 6? It would have made another great photo op. Why didn’t you send in those drones? Could it be, Mr. President, he was your excuse to release 5 Taliban terrorists from Gitmo? Those five men, the worst of the worst. Some wanted by the U.N. for mass murders, killing thousands, al Qaeda-connected, these are the guys who behead their enemies, including children. They hate America and everything we stand for. And you release them – knowing many return to the battlefield – because Arab country Qatar assured you that they do not pose a threat to us? And you’re good with that? You buy it? You think 12 years in Gitmo has softened their resolve to kill us?

Mr. President, you didn’t just release them, you unleashed them, and you and you alone will be responsible for the hell that will be unleashed on us. You have teed us up for death and destruction. And don’t give me this hogwash that they are prisoners of war who have to be freed when we leave Afghanistan. They are not prisoners of war. The Taliban is not a country. They are enemy combatants who can be held indefinitely and should have been tried for their crimes. And as much as you want to take terms like “Islamic extremists” and “jihad” out of our lexicon, the War on Terror is far from over.

You didn’t have to release them. And I don’t give a damn whether you try them at Gitmo, in a military tribunal or in a federal court. United States attorneys have prosecuted these dirt bags and convicted them time and again.

Here’s the bottom line: you negotiated with terrorists. You broke the very law that you signed. You have shown terrorists that they can win concessions by kidnapping Americans. In the history of this country we have never traded mass murderers for a deserter.

My father and grandfather fought in World War II.  Ironically, you go to Normandy 70 years later – where my grandfather was injured – and make like you respect the military.

You call yourself a commander-in-chief. But what commander-in-chief doesn’t support a surge, but sends in 40,000 troops anyway? What commander-in-chief reduces benefits to to those in the military? Closes the Veterans War Memorial? Reduces the army to pre-World War II levels? Knowingly allows veterans to die in our hospitals, while replenishing the enemy in a time of war?

Mr. President: you are destroying this country. You have diminished us on the world stage. You have trampled on the very laws you swore to uphold.  You are not a true commander-in-chief. We’ve impeached a president for lying about sex with an intern. Your actions, far more egregious, demand impeachment. – [.] – END –
