Signs of Someone Being Saved

November 18, 2014

A final post about the series, “Agents of the Apocalype” will be posted at the beginning of next week. The episode entitled, “The Judge” (which aired yesterday) is very sobering. However, those who believe in Christ and are saved by grace through repentance of sin – won’t be facing The Great White Throne judgment. But when I am reminded of where all of the lost will end up, it makes me feel the urgency to share the Gospel message! Why? Because it is my hope that those who haven’t accepted Christ yet will make that eternally important decision. As Christians, we can only share the truth – God does the rest through the work of the Holy Spirit.

For now, I would like to share a page from a devotional called, “Destination.” Here is a portion:

Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. Luke 15:10

“Corrie ten Boom used to tell people who had just received Christ as Lord and Savior, “Now you’ve made the decision that makes the angels sing!” Imagine that! While yet on earth, we can influence the mood in heaven. Our spiritual decisions can prompt a concert of praise beyond the stars.

If the angels take seriously the conversion of a sinner–imagine them peering over the balustrades of heaven, scanning the earth for signs of someone being saved– how eager we should be for the same! This is what Christ died to accomplish. This is what we are commissioned to do. We’re ambassadors for Christ, and there is no greater joy than helping others find Christ.” – Dr. David Jeremiah

The Counterfeit Christ

October 28, 2014

As I continue to read and study via the current Turning Point series about the end times (called “Agents of the Apocalypse), I find it quite sobering to see how difficult it will be for individuals left behind after the Rapture of the Church during the Tribulation years. But there are also bright spots to consider! This particular book and series has presented evidence (via Scripture) just how important the Messianic Jews will be (particularly regarding the two witnesses and the 144,000) in helping unbelievers come to Christ before it’s too late.

The fictional stories at the beginning of each chapter are backed up by Scripture within each “Agent” description. It is truly fascinating! Despite the fact that I have studied and read many books on Revelation, there is always something else to glean from this extraordinary book! Dr. Jeremiah has done a masterful job sharing many facts through the various agent descriptions and how they fit into the entire scenario. Many prophetic writers within the entire Bible (including the Old Testament ones of Daniel, Isaiah and others; as well as New Testament Scriptures (including Matthew, Mark, John etc. as well a 2 Thessalonians, Philippians) point us towards the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

A chart in Dr. David Jeremiah’s new book and T.V. series, “Agents of the Apocalypse” reveals the stark contrast between Christ and the Antichrist (“anti” which means “against” or “instead of”).

Christ:

1.  Son of God  (John 1:34)

2.  Holy One  (Mark 1:24)

3.  Came down from heaven (John 3:13)

4.  Energized by the Holy Spirit   (Luke 4:14)

5.  Does the Father’s will (John 6:38)

6.  Cleansed the Temple (John 2:14-16)

7.  Man of Sorrows (Isaiah 53:3)

8.  Humbled Himself (Philippians 2:8)

9.  Called “the Lamb” (John 1:36)

10.  Received up to heaven (Luke 24:51)

Antichrist:

1.  Son of perdition (2 Thessalonians 2:3)

2.  Lawless one (2 Thessalonians 2:8)

3.  Came up from the bottomless pit (Revelation 11:7)

4.  Energized by Satan (Revelation 13;4)

5.  Does his own will (Daniel 11;36)

6.  Defiles the Temple (Matthew 24)

7.  Man of sin (2 Thessalonians 2:3)

8.  Exalts himself (Daniel 11:37)

9.  Called the beast (Revelation 11:7)

10.  Sent to the lake of fire (Revelation 19:20)

Dr. Jeremiah writes:

Paul-Henri Spaak, the prime minister of Belgium in the 1930s and 1940s, reportedly made the following statement:

The truth is that the method of international committees has failed. What we need is a person, someone of the highest order or great experience, of great authority, of wide influence, of great energy. Let him come and let him come quickly. Either a civilian or a military man, no matter what his nationality, who will cut all the red tape, shove out…all the committees, wake up all the people and galvanize all governments into action. 1

When the Antichrist ascends the global stage, the world will be waiting to receive him in precisely this way.

Millions cannot help but notice how many people had fallen for the rhetoric and lies of the current occupant in the White House. It just goes to show how easily people (who don’t know Jesus Christ and haven’t studied the Bible) can, and will be deceived when the beast from the sea emerges during the Tribulation.

Agents Of The Apocalypse Discussion

October 3, 2014

Agents of the Apocalypse. Watch all the messages on this all-new website. Watch Now

In a previous post, I wrote about a new series and book coming out by Dr. David Jeremiah of Turning Point ministries. The series is based on his new book called “Agents of the Apocalypse.”

So far, I have seen three episodes over the past 3 Sundays. They were excellent! This series explains why the chaos is happening and how the Bible predicted such things the closer we get to the end times. The first was very informative, the second one was very sobering, and the third was quite enlightening.

I have pre-ordered the book, but it won’t be released until sometime later in October.

Whenever I recommend a preacher, pastor and/or book, I like to be sure that they are biblically based in their teachings. When I read that there would be fictional accounts at the beginning of each chapter, I was a bit concerned that in doing so, the author might stray from what is written in Scripture in order to increase the entertainment value. This was seen (in a big way) with the recent “Noah” film. In fact, that movie strayed so far from Scripture that it should have been named, “The Rock Creatures”…or something else! Noah’s character was truly unrecognizable when you compared Russell Crowe’s role in the movie to the biblical account of Noah and his family. But I digress.

I wrote a letter to Dr. Jeremiah several weeks ago because I had some concerns about the fictional accounts that I was able to read at the website before the upcoming release of the book. Below, is my letter, and then the response I received. I was glad to get a response, but a bit disappointed that some of my questions were not directly addressed. Also, the response was not signed by whomever wrote it.

Anyway, here is my letter, and then the response letter. Talk Wisdom reports – you decide.

Dear Dr. Jeremiah,

I have been a longtime believer in Jesus Christ and have been watching your Turning Point broadcasts for several years.  I have always been blessed, and grateful, that your sermons and books have been biblically based.  I understand that the new book coming out soon – “Agents of the Apocalypse” will contain fictional accounts that fill in the gaps within the book of Revelation.  However, the September, 2014 devotional states that “nothing that is in the Bible has been altered.”  Well, I found something in Chapter Two – “The Martyrs” [fictional] excerpt online that is questionable because it does not correct the belief that “the Jewish leaders murdered Jesus.”

The first pages of church history tell of Stephen, who was stoned to death for insisting that the Jewish religious leaders had murdered Jesus (Acts 7).

Perhaps I am wrong, but I did not read this in Acts 7.  The fact is, also, that Jesus laid His own life down of His own accord.  Recall the verses where Jesus could have called down legions of angels to rescue Him from the cross.  If He did that, then the penalty for sin would not have been paid and Jesus would have re-entered heaven alone.  The second fact is that we all are guilty of sin.  Therefore, every human being on earth is responsible for the death of Christ on the cross.

I do not mean to lecture you, Dr. Jeremiah.  I know that your knowledge of the Bible is light-years above mine.  But when I read that sentence from the [fictional] excerpt in chapter two, an alarm bell went off in my mind.  You see, decades ago, I was raised Catholic and in Catholic tradition, the teaching that “the Jews killed Jesus” was prevalent.  They may have since backed off from such teachings since I left that church and joined a non-denominational Bible-based Christian church.   It is a long story, but I became a born-again believer in Christ back in 1978, ended up as a back slider; but rededicated my life to Christ after joining a Bible study on the book of John in 1993.  It was during this study that  I noticed that a lot of the Catholic church dogma did not line up with Scripture.

Another question that I have is about Zionism.  In the [fictional] excerpt of Chapter 3 – “The 144,000” there is a sentence that reads:

Most Jews in Israel were now Zionists, more secular than religious.

Perhaps I am wrong about this disagreement, too, but I have always thought that Zionism was a good thing for Israel.  The entire Palestinian/Israeli ongoing war is because the Palestinians (and their Muslim terrorist backers, as well as the U.S. leftist backers who don’t believe in Bible truth) think that God did not give the land to the Jews and it should be carved up and divided.

I know that you don’t have time to read it all, but I have written about the two views of Zionism at my former blog:

Jewish Virtual Library: Christian Zionism

Excerpt:

Christian Zionism can be defined as Christian support for the Zionist cause — the return of the Jewish people to its biblical homeland in Israel. It is a belief among some Christians that the return of Jews to Israel is in line with a biblical prophecy, and is necessary for Jesus to return to Earth as its king. These Christians are partly motivated by the writings of the Bible and the words of the prophets. However, they are also driven to support Israel because they wish to “repay the debt of gratitude to the Jewish people for providing Christ and the other fundamentals of their faith,” and to support a political ally, according to David Brog, author Standing With Israel: Why Christians Support the Jewish State.

This leads me to ask, which type of Zionism is referred to in your new book?  Perhaps these answers will be very evident when I read the entire book.

Thank you for all that you do in your excellent ministry, Dr. Jeremiah.  I do not wish to question your motives in this upcoming book.  However, with so many pastors and preachers moving towards heresy (e.g. Rick Warren getting involved with Chrislam – a mixture of Christianity and Islam) we must all be diligent enough to be careful not to contradict the truth of the Bible in these very difficult times.

Thank you for reading.

Sincerely,

Christine  W.

Subject: Response from Turning Point

Dear Christine,

Thank you for your encouraging email and for your confidence in asking such an important question, “Who killed Jesus?”

Christine, there are four major points that have to be made in answering the question.

  1. The Romans killed Jesus.  Pilate, the Roman governor, could have freed Jesus, but to preserve his standing with the mob, he willing[ly] delivered Jesus to be crucified (John 18:29 – 19:30; Mark 15:15).
  2. The Jew killed Jesus.  The Jew cried, “His blood be on us and on our children” (Matthew 27:25).  Peter, preaching to the Jews later on, pointed his finger at them and said, “you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death” (Acts 2:23).
  3. God killed Jesus. “Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted . . . Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief” (Isaiah 53:4, 10). Acts 2:23 confirms that Jesus was “delivered (unto death) by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God.”  God did it.
  4. I killed Jesus.  My sins nailed Him to the cross.  He died for me.

Who crucified Jesus?  All of us.  The sins of every individual, from Adam to this very day, nailed Him there.  The Crucifixion is not just a historical event that we recall at Easter.  It is a reminder that our sin, our falling short of God’s glory, our active or passive rebellion, is the very commodity that put Jesus on the cross. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Concerning Zionists:  “Zionism” is a movement for the re-establishment and (now) the development of a Jewish nation in Israel.

Secular Jews feel that heritage and tradition is all that matters.  Like many other people who practice religion or tradition, they believe that they are right with God simply because of ritual or practice.  This is most of Israel today, but not in the future.

Christine, always remember that biblical prophecy is written to transform us.  It is written so we might live with holiness and purity while awaiting Christ’s return.  It is written to inspire us to renewed fervor:  It is written so that we might pursue God’s will for our lives with rekindled fire and fresh zeal.

“Do business till I come” (Luke 19:12-13).  “Surely I am coming quickly” (Revelation 22:20).

“. . . Be patient.  Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand(James 5:8).

Again, thank you for your confidence and for being an encourager.  We are rejoicing in the Lord and rejoicing with you.  “And again I say, ‘Rejoice’” (Philippians 4:4).

Coming Soon! Agents of the Apocalypse

August 18, 2014

Coming This Fall from Dr. David Jeremiah You’re invited to a front-row seat to watch the cataclysmic clash of heaven and Earth as the mysteries of the Book of Revelation unfold before you and come face-to-face with the key players of the End Times drama…

The Agents of the Apocalypse

Dr. Jeremiah’s riveting look at the key players of the Book of Revelation will give you insight into Bible prophecy as perhaps you’ve never experienced before!

I can only guess that perhaps one or more of the “agents” discussed in Dr. Jeremiah’s book might very well be radical Islamic jihadists.   The number of terrorists around the world has doubled since 9/11/01!

I have been reading two books lately – one about angels and the other about the book of Revelation.   Reading and studying what the Bible reveals regarding the end times is something that I think all people should do!  It really helps us  to understand why all the turmoil that is going on in the world – especially as it relates to Israel and the Middle East terrorism surrounding Her – is happening and how prophesy can uniquely inform and warn us.  Prophesy is happening right before our very own eyes theses days!  Yet, many people are either  completely oblivious (or, in some cases purposefully ignorant) of such facts!

Sometimes I find that people (who are either uninformed or critical of any discussion regarding end times prophecy) REALLY don’t want to know what is going to happen!  For some, it is fear of the future.  For some, it is fear of not being right with God.  For some it’s not being able or willing to  admit that they are in the same boat as all of us – a sinner in desperate need of the Savior – Jesus Christ!  These days, that’s just not politically correct to say out loud anymore.

Even some Christian pastors refuse to do sermons or studies about the book of Revelation.  Excuses for why they don’t want to cover that book run the gamut!  It does take a lot of effort and work to read the book and to also seek out the scholars (who may not always agree on every detail) who have helped interpret what is written in the book of Revelation.  There are some books about it that are better than others.  I find that the best writers on the subject use the techniques of Scripture interprets Scripture as well as the art of linking Old Testament prophecy verses with New Testament fulfillment verses.

My former blog has many articles about prophesy being fulfilled right before our very own eyes! [Note: be sure to click on additional links at end of that one blog post.] In David’s incredible prophecy of Israel’s enemies today, we see just one example of prophecy coming to fruition in our day!

Excerpt:

Three thousand years ago God inspired King David to predict that the reborn nation of Israel would be immediately surrounded by enemies, including the Arab nations of Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria.

“For lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. They have taken craftly counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee: The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Hoab; and the Hagarenes; Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah” (Psalm 83:2-8).

In this incredible prophecy, David described the modern states of the Middle East by naming the ancient nations that have now joined with the Palestinians in their attempt to destroy the Jewish state in the last days.

This ancient prophetic list of nations is fascinating, as it enumerates virtually every one of the nations in the Arab confederacy that oppose Israel’s existence today:

Edom………from Esau, brother of Jacob (Jordan)

Ishmaelites…descended from Ishmael, son of Hagar (Arabs)

Moab………son of Lot, (Jordan, east of Dead Sea)

Hagarenes….descended from one of the 12 sons of Hagar

Gebal……..ancient Byblus, (north of today’s Beirut)

Ammon……..son of Lot, (capital of Jordan)

Amalek…….descended from Esau (southern Jordan)

Philistines..from Ham, (throughout Palestine, Syria)

Tyre………a Phoenician city (Lebanon)

Assur……..founded Assyria; (Iraq – Iran)

Children of Lot, Moab, and Ammon, (Jordan)

Dr. David Jeremiah is coming out with a new book (and sermon series on TV) soon called “Agents of the Apocalypse.”  Should be interesting!

All the things that are happening in the world now (like the Islamic Caliphate wannabes) and the Hamas attacks against Israel certainly show us how one day, the apocalypse prophesied in Scripture will come about! I have been watching “Israel Now News” on the Daystar channel. In one news report and commentary, a reporter – who witnessed a Jewish man get out of his car, kneel down and pray for God’s protection (just as a missile from the terrorists in Gaza was heading in his direction) – told the story of how that 15 seconds of warning isn’t much time to take cover. Right after the man’s prayer, the Iron Dome defense system shot the missile to smithereens in the sky above them. My question: why aren’t such miraculous stories told in the MSM? Possible answer: because many in the media of mass deception are secularists who either side with Hamas or just hate the Jews anyway? The ratcheting up of anti-Semitism across Europe is disturbing, too. How can ANYONE think that siding with terrorists like Hamas is a good thing?   I think I know some reasons why.  Such people do not know God’s Word and, unfortunately, they are doubly blinded by news media propaganda and willful ignorance.

The hatred against the Jews (and Christians, for that matter) is rising up again and becoming even more apparent.  When radical Islamic terrorists (like ISIS, ISIL) vow to “kill the infidel” (which includes anyone who doesn’t believe in their allah false god) and such actions are allowed to go on without  strong American military action; then we are in grave danger.  What’s more, don’t be fooled into complacency regarding the connections between The Muslim Brotherhood AGREEING in the end times Islamic Caliphate – just like the “crueler” jihadists called ISIS (Islamic State [of] Iraq and Syria) or ISIL (Islamic State, Islamic Levant). What’s even worse, is when we have a pResident in the White House that is obviously in league with the Muslim Brotherhood.

They all will be battling amongst themselves; that is, all of the factions of radical Islam with the goal of claiming that their particular sect is the genuine article that will bring about the Mahdi of their evil religion.

The fact is that ALL the radicals want this Caliphate – so that their Islamic “messiah” [who could end up being the False Prophet predicted in Revelation] will ultimately be revealed. You see, they think that they can “hurry it along.” The truth is, it’s all in God’s timing. The only safety that there will be left in the end times is true faith in God.

Psa 109:3

They have also surrounded me with words of hatred,
And fought against me without a cause.

Psa 25:19

Consider my enemies, for they are many;
And they hate me with cruel hatred.

We can refer back to Psalm 3:1 (NIV) – where David writes:

1O LORD, how many are my foes!

How many rise up against me!

2Many are saying of me,

“God will not deliver him.

3But you are a shield around me, O LORD;

you bestow glory on me and lift up my head.

4To the LORD I cry aloud,

and he answers me from his holy hill.

The message in such Scripture is clear!  We are to seek God – even when it appears that so much is going against us!  God is still for us!

Isa 26:4

Trust in the LORD forever,
For in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength.fn

Pro 3:5

Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;

Pro 3:6

In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct [fn] your paths.

Where Are They Now?

February 10, 2014
kingdom cross

In his ongoing series on heaven, Dr. David Jeremiah discusses the question that many who remain on earth ask after the physical death of a loved one.   Where are they now?

In Dr. Jeremiah’s sometimes surprising presentation, you will learn the answer to that question and many more!  The information is not man’s ideas about heaven.  It is based on evidence through Bible verses; including the words and stories shared by Jesus Christ during His ministry on earth.

Click on the link below to view this week’s episode in the heaven series.  You will learn a lot and be blessed!

How about the opportunity to learn about and Discover The Wonderful Reality of Heaven?

Answers to Questions About Heaven

A Fascinating Tour of Your Heavenly Home

The Bible contains over 500 references to heaven. In this brand new resource Dr. Jeremiah offers specific answers to  75 questions about heaven. as simply, readably, and biblically as possible.

The Super Bowl is over. Did the team you favored to win succeed?  All the hype that has been shared over the past two weeks on every Fox network and sports channel has come to an end, now that we know the winner of the game.  And…that is all that it is…a game.  But for so many people, it was the most important event that happened today.  A football game captured their hearts, minds, souls and physical presence…as millions of people watched in the stadium, at sports bars, or at their homes.

The enthusiasm for a football game isn’t wrong, mind you, but I think that millions of people don’t realize what they are missing when they don’t know the God of the Bible, His Son, Jesus Christ, or the eternal destination called heaven.

Earlier this morning, I experienced a much greater joy than a football game when I watched Dr. David Jeremiah of Turning Point Ministries share a sermon on answers to questions about heaven.  Non-believers probably don’t know much about heaven, but even many Christians do not know much about it!  Why?  Because they don’t study the Bible.  Another big reason is that maybe Christian pastors in churches all across America do not share the particular Scriptures that give us glimpses into what heaven will be like.  If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, don’t you agree that it might be very  important to know all that we can learn about our final destination when we leave this world?

I encourage readers to watch this week’s episode:

David Jeremiah.org: Beyond This World: What’s Up With Heaven?

If you don’t know much about heaven, then I encourage readers to view the entire series which will be aired from Feb. 2 – Mar. 30, 2014.

Dr. Jeremiah admits that many things about heaven are not easy to understand. It isn’t like earth, which we know, currently experience, and are used to living in. We have never visited heaven. Even the drawings of what heaven might be like (we have no photos of it!) fall short of what it will be like. Our minds eye cannot even fathom it, yet our souls long to be there one day.
Dr. Jeremiah:

We are left with Scripture alone to inform us about our eternal home and answer the many questions that arise.

One of the most impressive things about the study guide is the fact that it is not based on the speculation of a preacher, or even the writer of the guide. It is filled with Scripture references and descriptions about heaven – many of which were difficult for the prophet writing about it to describe.
For example:

The Bible says, “No man shall see [God], and live” (Exodus 33:20). Therefore, when John looked into heaven, he only saw the appearance of God and tried to put it into words as best he could: “…like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.” A jasper stone is what we know as a diamond, and the sardius is our ruby. So John saw a brilliant, multifaceted stone that sparkled in the light. Somehow, what John saw was best described in terms of brilliance, worth, beauty, and light. Who among us could have described it any better? It is hard to find words in any human language to describe the appearance of God. All John could do, and all we can do, is describe the impact of His presence, not His person. Describing God is like describing the wind –the best we can do is describe the presence or impact or appearance of the wind, not the wind itself.

That is so wonderfully stated! John’s experience informs us that worship is not about us — it’s about Him [God]! Worship is not about here –it’s about there! Our focus should be on God – not ourselves! We worship Him because of Who He Is, and what He has done for us through His Son, Jesus Christ!

The worthiness of Jesus Christ to open the scrolls at the culmination of all of human history is described in Revelation 5:

Rev 5:1 And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals.

Rev 5:2 Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?”

Rev 5:3 And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it.

Rev 5:4 So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read [fn] the scroll, or to look at it.

During his vision, John “wept much” because “no one was found worthy” to open and read the scroll, or to even look at it!
But watch what happens next:

Rev 5:5 But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose [fn] its seven seals.”

Rev 5:6 And I looked, and behold, [fn] in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

Rev 5:7 Then He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.

The Lamb who had been slain was Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. He, and he alone is worthy to open the scroll!

Rev 5:8 Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

Rev 5:9 And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,

Rev 5:10 And have made us [fn] kings [fn] and priests to our God; And we [fn] shall reign on the earth.”

You see, the only way for all of us to have been redeemed was by the shed blood of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. If Christ had not completed his mission, he would have re-entered heaven alone – without “every tribe and tongue, and people and nation.” Through what Christ did, we are made “kings and priests to our God” and it is revealed that we shall “reign on the earth” [a reference to the Millennium where Christ rules on the earth for 1,000 years] with Christ!

Rev 5:11 Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands,

Rev 5:12 saying with a loud voice: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”

Rev 5:13 And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: “Blessing and honor and glory and power [Be] to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever and ever!” [fn]

Rev 5:14 Then the four living creatures said, “Amen!” And the twenty-four [fn] elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever. [fn]

Seeing Jesus Christ is going to be so awesome. Indescribable, in fact! We will realize the reality of Jesus being “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!” All we could do is fall on our knees in worship and adoration for our King!

Dr. Jeremiah writes:

In C.S. Lewis’s allegory The Great Divorce, he tells of a man who journeys to heaven and finds it to be grander in scale and more beautiful than he could have imagined. Hell, he discovers, is the opposite, a fleck of dust by comparison with heaven. In the same way, Lewis suggests our lives in this world get smaller and smaller the more we comprehend the grandeur of heaven and eternity. Seeing heaven was for John like us walking up to the edge of the Grand Canyon for the first time–speechless in wonder.

This world is passing away. But heaven will last forever! Before his ascension to the Father, Jesus informed us that he is going “to prepare a place for you [us], so that where I [he] go [goes], there you [we] will be also. If it were not so, I would have told you.”
Jesus accomplished all that he said he would during his three year ministry here on earth. His promises can be trusted. Our faith is not a blind faith, for we see through the eyes of faith in a Person – Jesus Christ – who did what no other religious leader could have ever accomplished. He rose from the dead! Therefore, we can have the confidence to believe that God is able to do above and beyond what we can ask and think or expect (see Ephesians 3:20). Nothing is impossible for God (see Luke 1:37).
Dr. Jeremiah writes:

We may not see into heaven with our eyes, but we see the character of God through His Word and our songs of praise that proclaim His worthiness. We can hear Jesus remind us of the same things of which he reminded John: “John, I want you to know that things are not as they appear to be. I’m going to show you how things really are. I’m going to walk you into the throne room of heaven and show you genuine reality. Things are not out of control. Satan has not won. Evil has not triumphed. Peek through the door; get a glimpse of reality. God is on His throne, and such a sight will transform your heart and your mind forever.”

Why the Virgin Birth of Christ?

December 16, 2013

In one of the most profound sermon messages, Dr. David Jeremiah explains exactly why Jesus had to be born of a virgin in order to be the Savior of the world!

As Dr. Jeremiah points out in his introduction to the December 15, 2010 video message, skeptics are most critical (and I would add mocking, disrespectful, disparaging, and down-right nasty!) towards the biblical truth that Jesus Christ was born of a young virgin woman named Mary.

Why do such people attack this particular doctrine? I agree with Pastor Jeremiah that a big reason why is the fact that Jesus’ miraculous birth proves both his Deity and His humanity – in order to be the long awaited Messiah that the Jews and Gentiles were waiting for as described in the Old Testament. This sermon includes the fact that even before Jesus was born as the God-man, Jesus has been eternally existent with the Father throughout eternity.

The Scriptures shared from the Old Testament and fulfilled by Jesus in the New Testament prove the fact that Jesus Christ is who He said He is – the Holy Son of God, Savior of mankind, and Lord over all!

*******

Another question that often befuddles non-believers about Jesus Christ is why did he have to suffer on the cross and physically die at Calvary?

The easy answer is:  Because God the Father said there was no other way for mankind to be redeemed.

Recall when Christ asked His Father, “If it is possible, take this cup from me.”

Mar 14:36

And He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.”

Luk 22:41

And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed,

Luk 22:42

saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.”

Right there, is proof of Jesus’ God-man nature. Right there, is proof that NO OTHER could take the place of Jesus in the course of history (or, eternity for that matter) in being the substitution for the death that every person deserves because of sin, evil, and reprobation!

Perhaps these added points appear to not “fit” with the message of Jesus’ virgin birth. However, when you think about it, God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and God’s Word, the Bible is attacked even more viciously by the unredeemed at Easter (more specifically, Resurrection Sunday).

Why?

Again, it is because unredeemed man not only hates God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Bible; he/she also FEARS all of the four, aforementioned topics of our  Christian based theology.

Why?

Because unredeemed men/women KNOW that they are reprobate and separated from God; even if they refuse to admit it.

Look at what will happen at the end of days when Jesus Christ returns and is revealed to all of mankind:

Rev 6:15

And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, [fn] the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains,

Rev 6:16

and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!

Rev 6:17

“For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”

The unrepentant KNOW that they are reprobate and unredeemed! They KNOW who Christ – the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world – truly is, and rather than repent, they ask for the mountains and rocks to “fall on them [us] and hide them [us] from the face of Him who sits on the throne [God] and from the wrath of the Lamb [Christ]!

In fact, read the entire chapter of Revelation 6 in order to see the context of what is written there.

What’s more, the very next chapter in Revelation reveals the fate of the redeemed:

Revelation 7

It’s interesting how the number of man (being the numeral 6) is the number of the chapter in Revelation that describes the fate of the unredeemed, and the number of perfection (meaning godly – the numeral 7) is the chapter in Revelation that describes the eternal state of those sealed and saved of God.

Rev 7:9

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands,

Rev 7:10

and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

Rev 7:11

All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,

Rev 7:12

saying:

“Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom,
Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,
Be to our God forever and ever.
Amen.”

Rev 7:13

Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?”

Rev 7:14

And I said to him, “Sir, [fn] you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Rev 7:15

“Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them.

Rev 7:16

“They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat;

Rev 7:17

“for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. [fn] And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

Politically speaking now, this explains why the sickening liars of the rabid and radical progressive leftists (which include atheists, socialists, Marxists, communists, Islamists etc.) all attack those of us on the right. It’s because they are all members of the unredeemed, reprobate, haters of Jesus Christ.

Jesus warned us of this fact:

Jhn 15:18

“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.

However, it is certainly comforting to read the entire chapter of John 15!

It is important to remember that such behavior is fulfilled prophecy!

Jhn 15:25

“But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, ‘They hated Me without a cause.’ [fn]

(15:25) Psalm 69:4

Psa 69:4

Those who hate me without a cause
Are more than the hairs of my head;
They are mighty who would destroy me,
Being my enemies wrongfully;
Though I have stolen nothing,
I still must restore it.

Many of the Old Testament prophecies of David can be applied both to the time that they were written (regarding David) as well as fulfilled prophecy in the New Testament (regarding Christ). And the fact that the Psalm 69:4 verse ends with “I still must restore it” is a prophetic utterance regarding the gospel of Jesus Christ!

I could literally go on and on with this post.  However, perhaps it’s best to share more in a future post.

As a grateful and humble redeemed soul because of what Christ did for me at the cross, I would encourage readers here to share this message with as many as you can!  Their salvation depends on how each and every one of them [us] answers Jesus’ question, “Who do you say that I am?”

Mat 16:15

He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

Mar 8:29

He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered and said to Him, “You are the Christ.”

Luk 9:20

He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered and said, “The Christ of God.”

Once we get the answer to Jesus’ question correct, confess our sin, repent, and accept Him as Lord and Savior of our lives, the Holy Spirit of God indwells us; teaching us about Christ and helping us to apply God’s Word!

Jhn 15:26

“But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.

Jhn 15:27

“And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.
