Great post. About ad blockers; his suggesting virtual shield had me checking out user reviews, which were cautions about subscription charges, bad service, and little customer support. I use uBlock origin, and there is no fee for their service via my Firefox browser.

As most of us know, many podcasters promote products & get paid for the ads shared within their videos. It’s a shame that some (like Virtual Shield) turn out not to be good choices. Do the podcasters know this? 🤷♀️ Do they get any negative feedback and keep the ads going for profit anyway? 🤨

What i do appreciate about uBlock is their “control panel”; you can unblock a site you know to be safe, if it can’t operate with it on; you can also allow access to just the one page, or the site as a whole.
The fellow recommending virtual shield may not know others difficulties.
Nearly a decade ago, I had found an antivirus suite, called Comodo; it is -shudder- very good, but it must be tailoredfor very specific needs. If you’re not tech savvy, it is a job!
I uninstalled it (so I thought) only to have sites I had visited became blocked. Turned out there was a fragment of it left in my registry. Lesson learned.

Well…that certainly describes me! Not very tech savvy. My husband often comes to the rescue when I’m having issues.

That hit home. I’d just started at WP (2011) because an old tea party outfit, called Patriot Action Network abruptly ousted me. They had for a second time, endeavored to “improve” the site; their procedures made it near impossible to make a posting, so i called them out. There was no warning or explanation, I was unceremoniously locked out.
But evil lurks everywhere. You (may) know my stance on social media, and Google in particular. I vaguely recall after digging around, finding out that deep in WP innards, Google resides. I think it has to do with their analytics.
Moreover, WP abandoning the old editor was no improvement, unless you’re one of the many so enamored with all this mobile phone, tablet, and (what had been called programs) “App” stuff.
Then about 14 months ago, due to a program I bookmarked for security reasons, I discovered this:

I think a lot is going on, but I don’t know if some people will ever wake up. They don’t want to see the truth.
Just think how hard it will be for your daughter, and son in law, and mine too. Then there are all the doctors, and nurses that got vaccinated, and forced vaccines on others.
I hope DeSantis does run, and Trump gets out, and supports him. Trump is too old, and polarizing. I thought a while ago that Kari Lake may run as VP with DeSantis. She is too strong a woman for Trump. His ego would clash with hers.
I think it is funny seeing Dr. Redfield from the CDC come out against Fauci in saying that the Wuhan Lab was where the Covid19 virus originally came from and it was back in September. He was the same person that said the masks were more effective than the vaccines. Maybe, he was telling the truth in a twisted way, because he knew the vaccines were poison. More likely he is just on a CYA mission now that things are coming out.
Anyway, it will be interesting to see what happens in the next 12 months.
