Have a Happy and Blessed New Year!

Several bloggers have written awesome essays taking note of writers from the past, bringing their knowledge into the present,  and therefore giving us all hope for the future.

2017 is now here and along with it comes hope and optimism – especially after the peaceful “change of the guard” that will occur on January 20, 2017.

The hard-fought election of Donald Trump winning over Hillary Clinton will still, I predict,  have ramifications over the next four years.  Why?  Because when any Republican candidate wins the presidency, the far leftist detractors never give up on their hate and disdain for the candidate.  I have seen this over the course of my lifetime, especially during and after the election and presidencies of Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush.

Unfortunately, those who merely voted for Trump are already being mocked and are often disdained as well!  Trump isn’t even in office yet!

Heck, people at a recent birthday party that I attended in November wouldn’t even look at me after they learned that I’m a registered Republican who probably voted for Trump.  They are a young couple who at least liked me prior to Hillary losing to Trump.  The initial hug I got from the young woman turned to ignoring me when I tried to include them in a brief cell phone video at the party.  I later learned that they took Hillary’s loss very hard and are still grieving over the election of Trump.

Another person at the party stated that she would never vote for Trump, even if he ran as a Democrat.  We didn’t get into a deep conversation about it but I also learned that she is still grieving about Hillary’s loss and also fears for her granddaughter growing up under a Trump presidency.  She later told me that she isn’t going to let our political differences hurt our friendship.  That was certainly wonderful to hear!

Another young lady, whom I love dearly, texted me the day after the election and wrote, “I don’t know who you voted for, but I’m devastated that Trump won.  He’s a horrible man!”   I wrote back, “I can certainly understand how you feel!  I have been there whenever the candidates of my choice didn’t win.  But honey, the love of God and family is what matters most in this life, so take heart in that!”  She replied, “You’re right!  I will focus on God and my family!”

That’s what I had to do during the horrid 8 years of the 0bama presidency.  I knew from the start that he was bad news for our nation, but with the strength of the liberal tsunami of support for him (which included the Dems, the media of mass deception, Hollyweird, Muslim sympathizers, Socialists and communists; all of the liberals in the Dem states etc.) the warnings of conservatives went unheard and ignored.

I want to look to the future, and not re-hash all the bad of the past 8 years.  However, there are two blog posts that I wanted to share links to because what individuals wrote and the quotes they included explain exactly why I saw the 0bama years as a complete failure and danger to our Constitutional Republic.  I know that Hillary would have continued down that disastrous road, so that is why I was so relieved that she lost the election.

Happy New Year to the followers of this blog (all 79 of you) and any readers who happened to come here through topic searches over the past year! May you and your families be blessed this coming year, and may you know (or come to know) the ultimate saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ!

In Him,
Christine

Kingsjester Blog: New Year’s Day 2017: More Than Ever…”A Time For Choosing”

Excerpt:

So, are we doomed as a nation to continue to slide down this slippery slope we are traveling on? In the conclusion of “A Time for Choosing”, Ronald Reagan reminded us that the choice was ours to make…

They say the world has become too complex for simple answers. They are wrong. There are no easy answers, but there are simple answers. We must have the courage to do what we know is morally right. Winston Churchill said that “the destiny of man is not measured by material computation. When great forces are on the move in the world, we learn we are spirits–not animals.” And he said, “There is something going on in time and space, and beyond time and space, which, whether we like it or not, spells duty.”

You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children’s children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done.

Fellowship of the Minds: Happy New Year Deplorables!

Excerpt:

2016 was a hard, hard year, but . . .

with the help of God, we the Deplorables defeated a truly evil woman and her evil minions and supporters, against seemingly insurmountable odds of her having the MSM and Hollywood behind her, the rigged debates, the rigged polls, 3300% greater campaign spending, and the covert collusion of the Republican Establishment.

Despite the horrors that you will read in the list at that link, there is always hope in the Lord Jesus Christ!

Here is a very long article from Truth 2 Freedom’s blog.  The fact that young Jonathan Edwards realized the destructive nature of his sin and chose to live out his life for God’s glory is something that every Christian can strive to do!

4 Christian Principles For Making New Year’s Resolutions.

Excerpt:

The nineteen-year-old Jonathan Edwards knew his weaknesses and was aware of the destructive nature of his sin, so he resolved to make and keep certain resolutions in his effort to live for God’s glory. He helped pave the way for us all as he prefaced his seventy resolutions with these words:

Being sensible that I am unable to do anything without God’s help, I do humbly entreat him by his grace to enable me to keep these resolutions, so far as they are agreeable to his will, for Christ’s sake.

These simple, introductory words of Edwards not only provide us with a glimpse into the mind of one of history’s greatest minds, they provide us with a glorious insight into the heart of a young man whose heart had been humbled and mastered by the Lord God Almighty. We would therefore do well to consider Edwards’ prefatory remarks as we seek to glorify God and enjoy Him forever in our churches, our homes, and our hearts.

Amen!

Good job Christine and I pray for a safe and blessed new year for you and your family.
Ah, the Trump victory was exceptionally sweet for me and seeing the left blow a gasket enhances the schadenfrued (sp?) I’m experiencing. However, not all was won or lost on Nov. 8. Trump is not a conservative and I’m sure he will do a lot of things to give us pause or even anger us. He seems to be doing okay thus far with the majority of his administrative picks so we’ll just have to wait and see. I’m sorry you experienced the “rage” (even if it was miniscule) from the sore losers. I had some Trump bumper stickers on my pickup and low and behold someone “keyed” my truck … here in Texas! LOL!
Anyway, I just stopped by to say ‘hello’ and that I’m glad you’re doing okay. Take good care dear lady and keep “looking up!”
    Your friend in Christ,
    Steve

      Steve!

So nice to “see” you here! Here’s my belated “thank you” for the Christmas e-card you sent me! So sweet of you to think of me & family!

You were close! It’s “schadenfreude” which is German and means, “satisfaction or pleasure felt at someone else’s misfortune.” I can certainly understand your feeling that way! After all the crap that we conservatives had to live with being thrown at us for 8 long and mostly nasty years under the puppet 0bama, it’s a relief to know that help is on the way in Washington D.C.! Sixteen days left!

I agree that there are unknowns about Trump. But I know for a fact that HiLIARy would have been a disaster in office and I’m so grateful to God that He saw fit to surprise us all with the election of Trump. Against so many odds (like the $ of GeorgEVIL Soros!) and the media of mass deception’s backing of HiLIARy, We The People in “flyover” country were not fooled into the meme the Dems were selling!

I wanted to do a blog post about Daniel Greenfield’s recent article and a comment I found there, but I’m pressed for time today. Here’s the link if you want to read it:

How George Soros Destroyed the Democratic Party.

      The subtitle says:

      “The Left ultimately destroys itself.”

THAT is EXACTLY what evil does…destroys itself!.

The comment that really hit the nail on the head is this one:

      NancyB > truebearing • 7 days ago

He is a planetary parasite. Soros is absolutely ruthless, amoral, and clever
in his business dealings. His grasp, greed, and gluttony have global reach.
Many years ago, Soros told “The Australian” that the world financial crisis was “stimulating” and “in a way, the culmination of my life’s work.”

Stimulating. How could anyone have found the multitude of job losses, house foreclosures, and incredible national debt—stimulating?

What we have in Soros is a multi-billionaire, atheist, with skewed moral
values, and a sociopath’s lack of conscience. He considers himself to be a world class philosopher, despises capitalism, and just loves social engineering. Soros is a real-life version of Dr. Evil—with Obama in the role of Mini-me. Which is not as funny as it might at first sound. In fact, it’s bone-deep chilling.

Back in 2009, Obama promised 10 billion of our tax dollars to Brazil, to
give them a leg-up in expanding their offshore oil fields. Obama’s largesse towards Brazil, came shortly after Soros invested heavily in Brazilian oil (Petrobras). The American Petroleum Institute said it was a very bad deal for the US. They estimated that “oil exploration in the US could create 160,000 new jobs, as well as $1.7 trillion in revenues to federal, state, and local governments, all while generating greater energy security.” So, the American taxpayers were once again treated like gullible suckers. Soros has been actively working to destroy America from the inside out for a long time now. Soros uses his “philanthropy” to deconstruct the moral values
and attitudes of the Western world and particularly of the American people.

An early & important whistleblower was David Horowitz. His & Richard
Poe’s book “The Shadow Party” outlined in detail how Soros hijacked
the Democratic Party, and how he owns it lock, stock, and barrel. Soros has
been packing the Democratic Party with radicals, and ousting moderate Democrats for a long time.

The Shadow Party became the Shadow Government, which became the Obama Administration. While Soros doesn’t (yet) completely own the Republican Party, his tentacles are spread throughout it. America currently faces the greatest challenge to its existence as a free republic since the Civil War. And as we go, so goes the world. Without Soros, would the Saul Alinsky Chicago machine still be rolling? Would BLM, SJP, SPLC, MoveOn, ANSWER, La Raza, and many more still be pursuing their nefarious actions?

America stands at the brink of an abyss, and that fact is directly attributable to Soros. He has vigorously, cleverly, and insidiously planned the ruination of America. He is immoral, duplicitous, and traitorous. Stripping Soros of his US citizenship should be one of the first steps taken. And trials there must be.

No matter the cost, the nest of vipers on Capitol Hill, and all the traitors
in the government at large, must be held accountable for their behavior, or a
      free America is doomed.

Soros has repeatedly called 1944 “the best year of my life.” So, 70% of Soros’s fellow Jews in Hungary, nearly half-million human beings, were
annihilated in that year. They were dying and disappearing all around him, and their numbers no doubt included many whom he knew personally. Yet he gives no sign that this put the slightest damper on his elation, either at the time or even in retrospect. In Steve Kroft’s “Sixty Minute’s” interview Soros was asked about his “best year” and if he had any feeling of guilt. Soros’s response was “No.”

Of course he didn’t feel guilty. Soros has the moral depth of a clam.
Nonetheless, he’s said, “my goal is to become the conscience of the world.” We can imagine the results of this sociopath being “the conscience of the world”. Yicks!
