This “House of Cards” Circus Election!

My husband told me last night that what we are seeing in this crazy circus of an election season is that it all resembles so much of what the Netflix series “House of Cards” portrays about government sleaziness  and corruption.

 

One commenter over at Amazon wrote that the series was about:

“A shadowy and corrupt world for power and self-advantage.”

Another commenter wrote:

“I’m as cynical as it gets when it comes to government, but the plot is just ridiculous.”

After all, it’s Hollyweird work at play so why would anyone think the plot wouldn’t be ridiculous?

Another commenter wrote:

“I liked it because of the great acting but the story is very, very dark so not for everyone.”

That comment is enough reason for me to not view the series.

It was interesting to find a blogger this morning who wrote a post that mentioned the same comparison as my husband did regarding “House of Cards.” In the past, I have never felt the desire to watch any of the episodes and do not care to view them now. However, the blogger over at “Hillbuzz” put forth some great points about the re-opening of the FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails.

So, all weekend everyone has been losing their damn minds over Comey’s letter. I’ve read all of the various theories as to what’s going on and I draw the following conclusions:

1. Hillary Clinton has been caught lying, because something on Huma Abedin’s computer is so obviously confidential and not-all0wed-to-be-on-Huma’s-computer that everything Hillary said to the FBI and to Congress is obviously a lie. She will either have to admit gross incompetence or she’ll be proven to be a liar…and something on Huma’s computer will prove this.

2. Huma Abedin needs to go to prison. Do you remember Scooter Libby? So much crazy stuff happens now every day that this feels like it happened in the 1800s, but it was only just 2005 (11 years ago). I had to look up what exactly Libby went to prison for, but it is much less terrible than what Huma Abedin has clearly been up to. Libbey was charged with obstructing justice, lying to the FBI, making false statements to various people, and perjuring himself. This was all about Valerie Plame, the CIA-agent who was the wife of Ambassador Joe Wilson. Her cover was blown and the FBI investigated Libby for being involved in blowing her cover as a way for the Bush Administration to get back at Wilson for speaking out against the Administration’s war plans. The FBI came down hard on Libby and he went to jail. Why the hell isn’t Huma Abedin in handcuffs already?

3. I think James Comey, Loretta Lynch, and others involved in making the investigation go away in July need to go to prison too. So, you let Hillary off the hook when obviously something bad was going on…and it’s so bad that right before a presidential election James Comey pops up again like a whack-a-mole to reignite all of this. So why the hell wasn’t a proper investigation conducted in the first place? What corruptocrats were behind that? All of them need to go to prison. At this point, Donald Trump needs to call for the reopening of Alcatraz to hold all of these high-ranking people who deserve to go to prison.

4. I’m seeing people speculating that the FBI might be completely corrupt and untrustworthy, but that the local police in New York City are still honest and decent enough to have found an angle to bring the Clintons down. Preet Bharara needs to be looked at for the position of Comey’s replacement as FBI Director. Who better to go after everyone in the FBI who is corrupt and went along with James Comey in July? Bharara appears to have been the one who realized that something the NYPD found in Anthony Weiner’s possession contradicted everything that Comey said on July 5th.

What I think they found is something that shows “intent.” Remember how Comey made the bizarre assertion that the FBI could let the Clintons do whatever they wanted and not prosecute them because nothing showed “intent”?

Well, what if Bharara (everyone seems to call him “Preet”) discovered something on Huma’s computers that showed intent? If that was found, then Comey could not ignore it…because Comey made such a big deal about his claim that “intent” was required for prosecution (even though the law did not actually require “intent”).

What I believe happened is that the NYPD turned everything over to Bharara like they were supposed to do. Bharara is not scared of anyone and is pretty much an American hero and a new version of Elliott Ness. Bharara saw that he could easily contradict Comey and I bet he went to the FBI and said that unless they do what they are supposed to do and stop playing politics that Bharara would have his own press conference and bring the FBI down.

I must admit that I had not heard about Preet Bharara before reading Kevin Dujan’s post, so I did a search and found out what type of man he is.

Wow! The man has been actively fighting corruption for most of his career. There were only two minor controversies that he was apparently involved in listed at the Wikipedia site.

A Daily Mail article claims that he was actively investigating the Clinton Foundation.

Numerous articles can be found by doing a search. It appears to me that this man could be considered a hero for doing his job properly and exposing the corruption that needs to be brought into the light of day. It’s nice to read about such a great person,  because individuals like him appear to be so rare in the current political cesspool of corruption!

Unintended Consequences of Walking According to the Course of This World

Over the past several days, I have noticed that blog readers have landed here at Talk Wisdom after they had done a search for “rowboat with Trump.”  Several new visitors have become followers here, most likely due to that particular post.

Yesterday, Megyn Kelly (of Fox News Channel’s “The Kelly File”)interviewed far leftist Michael Moore (never thought I’d EVER write his name on this blog!)  on the Fox News Channel regarding his latest documentary entitled, “Trumpland.”  [Readers can do a search for the interview and clip I’m referring to in this post.  Caution, disgusting language is used in the documentary clips.]

It’s interesting that Trump and many supporters cheered the quote that Moore made in the movie for why so many Americans are backing Trump.  However, Moore appeared blisteringly angry during the Kelly file interview that a clip of his movie was being used as a positive reason for people to actually vote for Trump.

It’s quite the juxtaposition, isn’t it?

Some might label this as unintended consequences.

Perhaps some might call it karma.

Others may say it’s kismet.

The Bible tells us what is most important in all of this!* (see below)

It appears that Moore’s “positive” comments about Trump and why his followers are voting for him may backfire on his desire to push Americans to vote for HilLIARy!  It’s like an act of God has done this…in that Moore’s additional comments after the positive comments he made about Trump and his followers may end up getting lost in the shuffle and not even heard by many voters.

The millennial generation, in particular, has a much shorter attention span and often only reads quotes via Twitter, or just the brief memes on Facebook.  If they don’t see the entire movie and only hear about (or, just read) that quote, then they may take what was only said in that pro-Trump quote clip and think that it makes total sense NOT to vote for HiLIARy, and to then cast their votes for Trump on November 8th!

Look, I don’t know for sure what kind of president Trump will be if he wins.  The unknowns about him could be cause for concern.  I truly hope and pray that he will stay committed to his promises on the campaign trail.   However, I do know for a fact that HRC would be an absolute disaster for our nation! 

All of the corruption that has been exposed about her, (i.e. the cheating of the Democrats, the dishonesty of the Clinton campaign, the criminality of the leaked emails, the quid pro quo connections between the Clinton Foundation and campaign donors,  the corruption of the FBI director, James Comey, and the now damning evidence against him that has been brought out…  etc.) that has all been exposed via Wikileaks and Project Veritas proves this fact!

No matter how much evidence of evil and corruption is released about crooked HiLIARy, there will always be people who will choose to ignore it. That’s truly sad and disturbing…to say the least!

A Christian Voter: “I believe Trump is our rowboat. Except he’s more like a battleship!”

The following essay [below] is copied from Freedom Is Just Another Word blog. It appears to have been written for email distribution.

Regular readers here know that I am a NEVER HILLARY voter, but that I also have had several concerns regarding Trump for president.  With all of the research I have done and how far the media of mass deception is “in the tank” for HiLIARy, I still feel that he would likely be light-years better than crooked Hillary. Since we only have those two main candidates to choose from in this election,  being a “hold your nose and vote for Trump” voter is far better (IMHO) than voting for corrupt, untrustworthy, and serial liar Hillary.   The more I read about her and her cohorts in crime, the more I realize that people who are voting for her are most likely one of the following types of voters.

1.  Ignorant of the Clinton crime family.
2.  Choose to ignore the evil, corruption, and lying that she has been involved in over the past 8 Obummer years, and during this election season.  Do the research and see that she is involved in over 30 years of corruption!
3.  Know about one or both of the above, and simply just do not care.
4.  Are spiritually blinded and therefore complicit in such blatant corruption.
5. [Add your own judgment of the situation!]

She should be in JAIL!!!  NOT running for president!

My conversations with Christian friends and relatives have informed me that many will vote for Trump, while just a few may vote third-party. Here in blue Dem California, it most likely wouldn’t matter how Christian conservatives vote, anyway. This state hasn’t [electorally] voted for a Republican presidential nominee since Ronald Reagan in the ’80s! I highly doubt that CA would collectively, and/or electorally, bring a state victory for Trump in the presidential election.

[On a side note, I watched a recorded program on Reagan’s presidency last night which reminded me that he won 48 states against Walter Mondale with a whopping 525 – 33 electoral vote count!]

Anyway, with that said, I present the following argument as to why HiLIARy should be summarily rejected for the presidency, and why this particular Christian voter and writer [NOTE:  no name was given on the essay] encourages others to vote for Trump.

I consider myself a conservative and do truly believe our country is at a political/economic/moral/social crossroads. I need to let you know I could/would never vote for Hillary Clinton to lead this country. To me, she represents everything that is wrong with our current political structure. Maybe God is trying to tell us something important–that now is not the time for a “nice Christian guy” or a “gentleman” or a typical Republican powder puff. Maybe now is the time for a natural-born killer, a ruthless fighter, a warrior. Because right about now we need a miracle, or America is finished. Maybe the rules of gentlemen don’t apply here. Maybe a gentleman and “all-around nice Christian” would lead us to slaughter.

Or do you want another Mitt Romney, Bob Dole, John McCain, Gerald Ford or Paul Ryan? Did any of them win? Did they lead the GOP to “the promised land?” Did they change the direction of America? No, because if you don’t win, you have no say.

Paul Ryan couldn’t even deliver his own state, Wisconsin! And as leader of the House, Paul Ryan rolls over to Obama like my dog rolls over for a scrap of food, or a steak bone. Nice, but obedient. I mean Paul Ryan…not my dog. My dog is actually a pretty good defender and loyal.

Maybe God is knocking on your door loudly, but you’re not listening. Maybe God understands we need a “war leader” at this moment in time. Maybe God understands if we don’t win this election, America is dead. It’s over. The greatest nation in world history will be gone. Finished. Kaput. Adios.

And with one last breath, maybe what we need to save us at the last second, is someone different. Someone you haven’t ever experienced before– because you weren’t raised in rough and tumble New York where nothing good gets accomplished unless you’re combative, aggressive, outrageous, on offense at all times, and maybe just a tad arrogant too.

Someone with a personality you’ve never seen on stage at your church. Maybe, just maybe, being a nice gentlemanly Christian would not beat Hillary and her billion dollars, and her best friends in the media who will unleash the dogs of hell upon the GOP nominee.

I guess you think God is only nice and gentlemanly. Really? Then you’ve missed the whole point of the Bible. When necessary, God is a pretty tough guy. When necessary, God strikes with pain, death and destruction. When necessary, God inflicts vengeance.

Maybe you think God couldn’t possibly be associated with someone like Trump. Trump is too vicious, rude and crude. When we won WWII, was God “nice?” Were we gentlemanly when defeating Hitler? Were we gentlemanly when firebombing Germany? Were we gentlemanly when dropping atomic bombs on Japan? Is God ever “nice” on the battlefield? Or does he send us vicious SOB’s like General George S. Patton so the good guys can defeat evil?

It’s pretty clear to me God sends unique people to be “war leaders.” That’s a different role than a pastor or church leader. God understands that.

And maybe it’s time to re-define “nice.” Maybe Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan aren’t nice at all–because they led us to defeat. And losing again would mean the end of America. And God can’t allow that. Maybe Romney and Ryan mean well, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Or maybe they’re just jealous they had their chance and blew it. Maybe they’d rather help elect Hillary than allow a Trump victory that would make them look weak, feckless and incompetent.

“Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” (Isiah 40:30-31)

God is about miracles. We don’t need a “nice guy” or a “gentleman” right now. It’s the 4th quarter and we’re losing 14-0. We need a miracle.

So let me repeat my message to Christians: “YOU’RE MISSING THE BOAT.”

 

I believe Trump is our miracle. I believe Trump is our rowboat. Except he’s more like a battleship!

No one is saying Trump is perfect. No one is saying Trump is a perfect conservative. But he is a patriot. He is a warrior. He is a capitalist. He is the right man, at the right time. Yes, he’s a bit rude and crude and offensive. But that may make him the perfect warrior to save America, American exceptionalism, capitalism and Judeo-Christian values. The choice should be easy for Christians. It’s Trump…or it’s the end of the American dream.

Have We All Been Duped?

I don’t know much about that site so I hope and pray that this Wikileaks information is not true!  However, I would not be a bit surprised if it turned out to be true.  I think that President John F. Kennedy tried to warn us:

Hillary Clinton’s campaign pollster Benenson Strategy Group says she is tanking

Oh my gosh! Just as so many alert Americans have suspected, the media of mass deception polls have been allegedly “skewed and narrative [driven]” in order to prop up the dying campaign of HilLIARy!

The BSG report says “The public has lost faith in polling” because:

“Poll-driven narratives have been pushed too far, alienating most of the voting population. The use of polls as a psychological weapon has also been noticed (especially on social media). In other words, the phony polls are not working because the American people are not stupid — we can see that the polling data contradict the HUGE turnouts for Trump rallies compared with Hillary’s anemic rallies.

 

Hopefully, this means that the massive voter fraud they are planning (and, most likely have already started carrying out with mail-in ballots) will be overcome so that this election won’t be stolen by another lying, scheming, crooked Democratic candidate!

Go over and read the PDF link that Fellowship of the Minds so brilliantly salvaged where there is a discussion about the usual methods of choice to try and scare voters away are listed and [called “Non-Recommended Salvage Options”].  They surmise that such methods probably won’t work this time, so they need to consider using the “FIRESIGN” effect.

This is almost too crazy to believe…isn’t it? It’s like that mind control device developed by The Riddler in the Batman Forever movie!

I will search for more when I have time.  Sometimes we need humor to get us through this highly stressful election season.  However, it has been difficult to find funny quips about this election.  Why?  Because of the very serious issues and the positive vs. negative philosophies of the candidates.  Hillary’s views are very vile!  One huge example (and there are many!) causes me to be a NEVER HILLARY voter!  Her belief shared last night that partial birth abortion is necessary to “save the life of the mother” is not only murderous, horrid and despicable, but is totally evil and deceitful!  If the baby is killed at the back of the neck in the womb when the rest of the baby’s body is out, THAT’S INFANTICIDE!

When she used the term “mother,” it showed the egregiously evil and total hypocrisy of her beliefs!  If that baby is being killed while partially in the birth canal, then the women ends up being the “mother???” of a dead baby!!!

The pro-life view makes moral sense.  Choose LIFE – YOUR MOTHER DID!

Killary is the polar opposite of Trump on the life-for-babies issue, as well as most of the important and pressing issues of our time.  Our nation hangs in the balance until election day.  I continue to hope and pray that God will grant us mercy and save the soul of our nation!

Repuppycans and Dogocrats

Have you ever felt like this election has gone to the dogs?  Not only that, but we could add on the viciousness of coyote behavior, too!

On my block, most of my friendly neighborhood acquaintances happen to be dog owners like myself.  We often run into each other while walking our dogs.  It’s a bit strange that during our chats, none of us have brought up anything about the current political circus going on. Actually, I’m glad about this.  Once the election is over, I don’t even want to know who voted for whom.  It will allow me to escape any rip-roaring “debates” about it in the future.

I’m able to walk along with those neighbors who have dogs that are friendly towards mine.  I lament that a wonderful neighbor of mine unfortunately owns a larger dog that my little Dachshund-Pekinese viciously barks at whenever they come down the street.  I’m guessing that he might think the dog is a coyote?  The dog does resemble the look of a coyote.  In our neighborhood, we all do need to be careful to watch our dogs any time we let them out into the yard – especially at night.  A neighbor that lives behind our back yard had her dog viciously attacked by a coyote!  She had to bat the coyote away in order to rescue her little dog from the jaws of the animal.   Several years ago, the same thing happened to a neighbor’s dog up the street.  She pulled her dog out of the mouth of the coyote.  The poor thing needed many stitches at the animal hospital.

The coyotes often travel in packs.  I can often hear them in the distance because they make a lot of noise when they have captured and killed their next meal.  Occasionally I have spotted a lone coyote in our front yard, so I yell at my dogs to get in the house immediately!

I was thinking today that this current election season is similar to the friendly vs. vicious dog encounters, as well as the bloody, almost deadly coyote encounters.

It can be difficult to ever have a friendly conversation between voters.  It is even more difficult to keep the peace between a friendly person voting for one side, vs. a rabid supporter for the other side.

When a #Never Hillary voter is confronted by a #Never Trump voter, the media shows the vicious  (and sometimes bloody) results.

In this horrible political climate, it is often quite necessary to proceed with caution when discussing this election, as well as politics in general.  So many people that I talk with just want it to be over!!

Yes.  I have stated on this blog that I am a Never Hillary voter.  There are multitudes of reasons for this and they have been presented and discussed here at this blog. However, I have also written that it is difficult for me to vote for Trump. So…what is a voter like me to do?

My friend L and I know that our votes here in California won’t even count due to the liberal leftist tsunami of voters who will automatically vote for Hillary. We discussed writing in Mike Pence’s name for president! After all, he is a Christian, conservative, and successful governor for the state of Indiana and I personally think that he has a bright political future ahead of him! I may not live long enough to see it, but I would be proud to tell my adult children and my granddaughter that he is a man that I could support in the 2016 election.

There are Christians who write reasons for being willing to waste their vote. There are Christians (and huge Christian organizations) that share information that can lead us and encourage us to vote for the Republican platform and candidate Trump.

Today, I received an email from a Christian conservative woman who is active in politics here in my town.  Each election season, she sends out her picks citing that based on biblical principles and conservative values, these are the “best” choices.

This is what she wrote regarding the 2016 presidential choices:

Donald Trump – Do I have reservations?  Yes.  But we only have two options, and Trump has chosen an excellent running mate in Gov. Pence.  We must consider the Supreme Court and the hundreds of other judicial and federal appointments that will impact the future of this nation for decades to come.  Read this article by Dr. Jim Garlow entitled: “If You’re On the Fence About Your Vote, This Pastor Clarifies How the Very Future of America Is At Stake” for more reasons to support Trump.

She certainly makes a good point!

In the end, each individual Christian needs to pray about it and will have to make that decision for themselves.

This morning, I saw a video over at The Last Refuge blog (very pro-Trump site) entitled Second Message From Citizens of Brussels to American Voters… and I must say that it brought me to tears!

It is very true that:

A Democratic operative has been captured on video revealing his agents and cohorts are “starting anarchy” by creating “conflict engagement … in the lines at Trump rallies.”

The stunning statements from Scott Foval, the national field director at Americans United for Change, were captured by James O’Keefe of Project Veritas, who earlier captured comments from Democrats about how common voter fraud is.

He also got Bob Creamer, founder and partner of Democracy Partners, admitting, “I’m not suggesting we wait around, we need to start this s— right away.”

Added Foval, “It doesn’t matter what the friggin legal and ethics people say, we need to win this m—–f—–.”

And Creamer confirmed, “The campaign is fully in it.”

Project Veritas said it is working on a multi-part series that “exposes the dark secrets at the highest levels of the DNC and Clinton presidential campaign.”

Its undercover journalists reveal “key players coordinating clandestine operations in support of Hillary Clinton’s campaign.”

Project Veritas says the actions are “behind-the-scenes shady practices with consequences most Americans have seen on national television at Donald Trump campaign rallies across the country.:

“What the media hasn’t reported is that the Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee has been directing these activities with, at very best, a very thin veil of plausible deniability.”

Foval said in the video: “The [Clinton] campaign pays DNC, DNC pays Democracy Partners, Democracy Partners pays the Foval Group, The Foval Group goes and executes the s—.

“Democracy Partners is the tip of the spear on that stuff.”

Creamer founded the Democratic consulting firm Democracy Partners and is listed as a partner on the website. He is the husband of Jan Shakowsky, a congresswoman from Chicago. In 2005, he plead guilty to tax violations and bank fraud.

“Wherever Trump and Pence are going to be, we have events and we have a whole team across the country that does that both consultants and people from the Democratic Party,” Creamer told an investigator. “And the Democratic Party apparatus and the people from the campaign, the Clinton campaign and my role with the campaign, is to manage all that.”

Involved in potential “violations of federal campaign coordination laws ” are the Hillary Clinton campaign, Clinton’s Super PAC Priorities USA and the Democratic National Committee, said Project Veritas.

“The thing that we have to watch, is making sure there is a double blind between the actual campaign and the actual DNC and what we’re doing,” explained Foval.

Christians Must Pray and Act

I’m reminded of that old metaphorical statement “praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.” We have to do both—pray and act. We have to pray like crazy for God to intervene in this country and break us. Incidentally, I also think if we’re going to see a spiritual change in this country, I believe it will happen through our young people.

I was with a bunch of young people yesterday and I was reminding them that all of the Great Awakenings, including the beginning of the modern mission movement, started among young people. One girl said, “I told God the answer is ‘yes.’ I don’t even know what the questions are, but whatever You want me to do, the answer is ‘yes.’” So I believe we need to pray with all of our hearts that God will do a work in our churches and especially in our youth. And while we’re all doing that, we don’t want to sit on our hands and not do the other things that we can do, such as vote, and try to have an informed vote based upon the issues that we know will really matter. So we have to praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.

Readers may recall that in my former post entitled, Stuck In The Middle With You I had encouraged voters to order the free Decision magazine issue that presents 2016 Election information when considering our choice this November regarding, “Two Visions, Two Americas.”

This morning, I finally finished reading all of the articles. They are very informative and I think they will help readers make the best decisions regarding this upcoming election.

I suggest reading all of the articles at Billy Graham’s website. Each reader can decide which article to read first. I chose to read The Party Platforms and then the Where The Candidates Stand report. As I saw the striking differences between the Democratic vs. Republican platforms, I thought to myself that as a Christian first, wife, mother and grandmother second, Conservative third, and registered Republican last, that if I were in a swing state I would vote for Donald Trump for President.   Why?  Because it would be a vote against crooked HiLIARy!

The stark differences between these two candidates (especially the egregious corruption in the Democrat party that has been revealed by Wikileaks each day)  makes me a Never Hillary voter. The criminal activity that she has been involved in (especially Benghazi), the mountain of lies she has piled up over the years, the legitimate concern about her obviously failing health (and the huge cover-up about this), and the media- of-mass-deception that is doing all that they can to avoid reporting her crimes (while so obviously backing her campaign), places an absolute conclusion in my mind that she should NEVER become president!

Being in the state of California in which the electoral college hasn’t given a victory to a Republican since Ronald Reagan in the ’80s tells me that even if I were to vote for Trump here, technically it wouldn’t really count anyway.  However, would I be neglecting my Christian duty to leave my ballot choice for president blank?

Dr. David Jeremiah’s question and answer portion in the magazine  was very informative; as were so many of the other articles so please take the time to read it all.  I especially took to heart these portions:

Q: How should a Christian voter prioritize the issues?

A: One of the most important questions going forward is, will our people be able to live their lives and worship God in freedom, or will the Supreme Court and its decisions continue to squeeze evangelicals, so that we are forced to violate the law or violate our conscience toward God? I think that’s the biggest issue—whether we can live and worship the Lord and live according to the dictates of our conscience, or get forced into a corner of political correctness and have to make a decision of whether to go to jail or follow our faith.

Q: Living in California as you do, you’ve seen firsthand a lot of the social progressivism before the rest of the country has experienced it. What do you foresee for Gospel-minded Christians in the next four to eight years?

A: There’s both good and bad. The church has always flourished when it was under pressure. Prosperity has never been good for the church. Adversity has consistently been good for the church. The New Testament was written in a time when Rome was running rampant over Christianity and you knew who the real Christians were. They stood up and were counted. I think one of two things is going to happen: Either we’re going to see a revival of some sort, and with that a renewal of the principles upon which this country was built, or we’re going to fall into a time of great pressure on Christians.

I think this current election may have a great deal to do with which direction that goes. And I believe that apart from a spiritual renewal, a Great Awakening like the ones we’ve had in the past—during which we would return to our roots spiritually—what we’re going to face is more and more the church under the pressure of the government, more and more being pressured to conduct weddings that we will never conduct, more and more being told to say things that we can’t say.

I don’t think that means we should be discouraged as believers. The Gospel has never been more necessary than it is now. All of these things that we talk about don’t in any way impact the fact that Jesus Christ is still the answer and that salvation is still the main business of the church.
