Typical Liberal Lunatic “Logic”

Now THAT is funny!

However, the politics that they push aren’t so funny. Case in point.

Fox News.com: One million Americans vow to boycott Target over transgender bathrooms.  (Over 1 million have signed since this aired.)

Now, compare the video (at link above) of Dr. Keith Ablow vs. Montel Williams’ blather on the Kelly file last night who appears in that video clip (at link below) after North Carolina’s governor explains the solid logic on this issue that has served America since it’s founding.  Doesn’t it matter that such solid logic has existed among most sane human beings around the world for millennia?

Yes People…We Are In Dangerous and Uncertain Times

Hat tip:  pastorwardclinton.com for graphic

Just goes to show that being a billionaire doesn’t necessarily mean that a person has any moral values, common sense, integrity or wisdom.

FB’s CEO reveals himself as being an illogical person whose ideology is skewed in the wrong direction because of his liberalism-is-a-mental-disordered “political correctness.” That graphic represents another example of the liberal lunatic meme.

I have written before about why FB is a waste of time, and how they like to manipulate people who use the site.

There is also documented evidence that the idiot in the photo thinks very negatively about the people who use his site.

Re-education Camp For Christian Bakers?

April 28, 2016

Colorado Court Approves Re-education Camp for Christian Baker

Excerpt:

from The Resurgent:

We are rapidly approaching a tipping point in America.

The day is coming, sooner than most think, when we will each have to choose whether to obey God or man, dictatorial bureaucrats or the Constitution, tyrannical judges or our own consciences.

The sooner we grasp this truth the better: simply because a court makes a ruling does not make it right.

Because a law exists is not sufficient reason to obey it.

When Pharaoh ordered all newborn boys to be slaughtered, the Hebrew midwives refused. When the law ordered Northerners to return runaway slaves, most refused. When the United States Supreme Court affirmed “separate but equal” as the law of the land, good citizens refused to comply and fought to end it.

So it is today. As Josiah Gilbert Holland said, “Freedom weeps, wrong rules the land, and waiting justice sleeps.”

The Colorado Supreme Court has chosen not to intervene on behalf of Jack Phillips who refused to decorate (not bake, but decorate) a cake for a same-sex union ceremony—when such unions were illegal in Colorado.

Erick and I spotlight this case in You Will Be Made to Care:

We have already seen how Jack Phillips Masterpiece Cakeshop in Colorado has been made to care by this wildfire burning through our culture. The details of the case are chilling. For years Phillips served both gay and straight customers equally. But when a gay couple insisted that Phillips bake a custom wedding cake for them in 2012, he declined.

According to an administrative law judge who reviewed the case, “Phillips believes that decorating cakes is a form of art, that he can honor God through his artistic talents, and that he would displease God by creating cakes for same-sex marriages.”

And get this: Phillips offered to sell the couple a cake he had already made that they could then customize as they desired. They refused, insisting that he be made to decorate it for them.

Phillips made his faith priorities clear: “I’m a man who is devoted to following Jesus Christ. He’s the one that’s in charge of all this…. It’s not up to the courts to decide what marriage is. It’s up to God to decide that. If we are living in obedience to Jesus Christ and the teachings of the Bible we are on the right side of history—no matter what they say.”

On August 13, 2015, a Colorado State Court of Appeals ruled Phillips must make cakes for gay weddings if he is to make any cakes at all.

His attorney Jeremy Tedesco said, “Government has a duty to protect people’s freedom to follow their beliefs personally and professionally rather than force them to adopt the government’s views.”

As a born-again, biblically based believer in Jesus Christ, I have been warning people about how far the vicious, radical, desperately wicked homosexual agenda proponents would push for such tyrannical positions that would inevitably bring about such hatred towards Christianity!*

Re-education camp for bakers? It’s so absurd!

Yes…the choice between following Holy God vs. the evil and deceitful hearts of men continues in the battle over our souls.

Jer 17:9

“The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked;
Who can know it?

Jer 17:10

I, the LORD, search the heart,
I test the mind,
Even to give every man according to his ways,

*The Gay Agenda by Dr. Ronnie W. Floyd Book Review:

Five stars
FINALLY!
ByT. Wheeleron August 25, 2004

Format: Hardcover

Finally a book that exposes the gay agenda for what it is, and just what a great threat to this nation’s moral foundation it represents. It is a call for those who still know right from wrong to take a firm stand against this grievous threat against faith, marriage, and family. While we talk about the threat from terrorism, the war, and the state of our economy, we are ignoring a profound threat from within, as homosexuals seek to overturn every aspect of American life and insinuate their perverse lifestyle throughout all of society. Dr. Floyd is a courageous man for writing this book, and I believe it should be required reading for all Americans. (…)

(Even though this book review and warning about the radical homosexual agenda was written back in 2004, we are now experiencing this grievous threat against faith, marriage, and family in a more profound way than ever before!)

So…If I’m Not a Trump Supporter Then I’m a “Phony Conservative?”

April 28, 2016

Well peoples…it appears that I have been thrown into the proverbial phony conservatives barrel by yet another author that stands for Trump and happens to be on my blog list!

You can go to that link and read all the vitriol and name-calling that is being spewed against people like me and others who have many suspicions against Trump’s social, political, and religious ideology.  Why aren’t we allowed to share our thoughts because we do not see him as being the best candidate for the GOP nomination?

Trump’s rudeness and crudeness is apparently being overlooked by many who support him.

But what about his arrogant pressuring of individuals to take their land away from them for one of his “deals” (see link below)  and the “little people” that he has hurt as a result?

The “phony conservative” blog post also contains some information that reveals there may be some hope for the author at that link!  At one point, he writes:

Excerpt:

The phonies wouldn’t stand up to Obama and they have the audacity to claim that Trump isn’t conservative enough? There is a lot about Trump that I completely disagree with. But I’m still of the mind-set that if we don’t stop the illegals from flooding the United States and stop the Muslims from coming in, we won’t be worrying about baking cakes for same sex married couples, or late-term abortions, or most of the other stuff so important to conservatives. We’ll be worrying about some terrorist who Obama let in blowing himself up in the mall while we’re shopping. We’ll be afraid to let our wives and kids go to the park … afraid they’ll get raped and murdered by some illegal alien.

So… there IS a “lot about Trump” that the blog author disagrees with!

Hmmm….

So why does that that make me a “phony” conservative and him a true one?  Where does wisdom fit into the narrative?

Ugh… I hate all the arguing and bashing and vitriol going on in this Republican primary campaign season!  I hope that the friends I have that think that Trump is “da bomb” do not get together with friends who think he is a leftist, pride filled, boastful billionaire (with a mix of being a carnival barker and sleazy salesman who bashes and crushes the “little people” during his deals and praises them on the stump) so I don’t have to play referee!

I did find a website that discusses a topic that doesn’t even seem to be on the radar with conservatives for Trump.

Conservative Review: Trump’s Crusade Against Farmers and the Working Class

Excerpt:

Donald Trump’s mindset is that we all live in a collective. Those with the resources, meaning people who have money and/or clout like him along with the arm of the federal government, are better equipped to allocate those resources than anyone else. In this way, he is not much different than Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders.

While the lunatic Left prefer to demonize the rich in order to turn public sentiment against our wealthiest citizens and harass them with taxation, it is striking that Donald Trump has demonized those with much less property than him, in order to turn public sentiment against ordinary landowners.

In the case of Vera Coking, the woman who refused to sell her home for the expansion of Trump’s casino business, and who had to fight off Trump’s lifetime business partner, big government, in order to stay in her home, Trump proved he has little interest in protecting the property rights of individual Americans. Mrs. Coking had to declare, as if it is some novel idea, that she has a right to own her home and did not have to surrender it to some egotistical bully billionaire because he’s got more money and clout than she. The woman had to fight her local representatives — who clearly picked the will of a billionaire over her, a comparatively poor person — and were actively using the force of government to please the billionaire.

Trump has explained that he believes it is acceptable for business to use government to improve the economy, and if that means taking land from private landowners so he can make the almighty dollar, so be it.

Ironically, Trump has been pro-choice for most of his life, except when it comes to land ownership among the little people.

So it was Trump who decided to build a golf course in Scotland, shoving his thumb in the eye of a local landowner by the name of Michael Forbes.

See more at: Conservative Review

Be sure to go to the link and read the entire article. I can’t choose between these two examples (Mrs. Coking or Mr. Forbes) to state which one made me angrier!

If people want to label me as “a phony conservative,” then so be it!  After reading this article and a few more of the postings at Conservative Review, then I’d rather be disingenuously called that rather than labeled as a sellout.

A Rendezvous With Destiny

April 27, 2016

Well, with the results of last night it is time for me to put Trump on my prayer list.

I don’t wish to “pick on” Kingsjester’s Blog again, so today I will write about something very positive that I read there.

In his new post: Kingsjester’s Blog: Trump to Outline Foreign Policy Platform Today, there are several awesome paragraphs of quotes from Ronald Reagan.

Before we get to that, here are some points from KJ’s Blog post to consider.

1.  Donald Trump will set aside his bad-boy antics on Wednesday and, with the help of a teleprompter to keep him on message, outline what his foreign policies would be if he is elected U.S. president in November, campaign aides say.

It’s about time! If his loony-tunes comments are seen by the general election voters, then they might presume that he’s “unfit” for the presidency.  Even though he isn’t my candidate of choice, perhaps he will be light-years better than either Commie Bernie or Crooked Hillary.

2.  The speech at noon (1600 GMT) in a Washington hotel will address issues including global trade, economic and national security policies as well as building up the U.S. military, his campaign said.

Those are all good topics that he needs to present, explain, and share with the public; provided he doesn’t take the left-wing bent positions on any of them.

3.  A strong American President is essential to retaining the sovereignty of our country.

I agree wholeheartedly! That point will be strong on my prayer list!

The author at the link goes on to describe several of the accomplishments of Reagan during his presidency; including the tearing down of the Berlin wall.

But what caught my eye most was what Reagan said way back…

[when] he was “out on the stump” for Republican Presidential Candidate Barry Goldwater, in October of 1964, delivered a powerful speech titled, “A Time for Choosing”. At one point in that now-classic speech, he spoke about America’s role in the world, stating that:

We cannot buy our security, our freedom from the threat of the bomb by committing an immorality so great as saying to a billion human beings now enslaved behind the Iron Curtain, “Give up your dreams of freedom because to save our own skins, we’re willing to make a deal with your slave masters.” Alexander Hamilton said, “A nation which can prefer disgrace to danger is prepared for a master, and deserves one.” Now let’s set the record straight. There’s no argument over the choice between peace and war, but there’s only one guaranteed way you can have peace — and you can have it in the next second — surrender.

…You and I know and do not believe that life is so dear and peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery. If nothing in life is worth dying for, when did this begin — just in the face of this enemy? Or should Moses have told the children of Israel to live in slavery under the pharaohs? Should Christ have refused the cross? Should the patriots at Concord Bridge have thrown down their guns and refused to fire the shot heard ’round the world? The martyrs of history were not fools, and our honored dead who gave their lives to stop the advance of the Nazis didn’t die in vain. Where, then, is the road to peace? Well it’s a simple answer after all.

You and I have the courage to say to our enemies, “There is a price we will not pay.” “There is a point beyond which they must not advance.” And this — this is the meaning in the phrase of Barry Goldwater’s “peace through strength.” Winston Churchill said, “The destiny of man is not measured by material computations. When great forces are on the move in the world, we learn we’re spirits — not animals.” And he said, “There’s something going on in time and space, and beyond time and space, which, whether we like it or not, spells duty.”

You and I have a rendezvous with destiny.

We’ll preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we’ll sentence them to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness.

Wow!  Classic, upbeat, to the point, descriptive, enemy recognizing, duty recognizing, hopeful, strong, disgrace countering, freedom-loving, America-loving, and most of all non-surrendering…all of which has been missing over the last 7 1/2 years with the current BADministration.

Ahhh….reading that was like a breath of fresh air!

It is my most fervent prayer that our next leader and his cabinet will follow such a directive as was laid out by Reagan in that timeless, unforgettable, and now-classic speech!

Speaking of destiny…

Phl 3:14

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Phl 3:15

All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you.

Phl 3:16

Only let us live up to what we have already attained.

Phl 3:17

Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do.

Phl 3:18

For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ.

Phl 3:19

Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things.

Phl 3:20

But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,

Phl 3:21

who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

Phl 4:1

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends!

Kingsjester’s Blog: The Moment of No Return…

April 26, 2016

After reading a post over at Kingsjester’s blog, I decided to “let ‘er rip” regarding all the craziness surrounding the 2016 Presidential Election.

See The Moment of No Return: If Trump Reaches 1,237 Delegates Tonight, What Then?

My comment there (which may eventually be deleted due to disagreement with the author).

Comment posted at Kingsjester blog:

I realize that my comment here may not be welcomed and you can delete it if you want to, but I must say my peace after reading your excellent post.

First, much of what you have stated is so true that it hurts…tremendously!

As a born-again, Bible believing follower of Jesus Christ, I look for the candidate that most closely represents (and would support) God’s Word – the Bible, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I don’t see any of the three remaining Republican candidates as persons that I could, in good conscience, vote for.  There are many reasons why each of them fails (in my mind) as a conservative candidate, but let’s just take one issue and I’ll explain why they all lose my support.

The rabid, tyrannical and evil LGBT agenda that has the goal of shutting up any and all Christians and, forcing Christian owners to lose their businesses through the courts because they refuse to participate in homosexual “marriage” ceremonies.   Added here:  The unfaithfulness of those who have either divorced and re-married several times (and in the case of Trump…admitted to “bedding other’s wives”)  and/or have been accused of extramarital affairs.

1.  Trump thinks that transsexuals should be able to use any bathroom according to their perceived gender identity.

Sorry – but that is just plain wrong and ludicrous!  Has he lost his mind?  Or, is it more likely that he is a liberal democrat trying to sabotage this election and be a Trojan horse by putting an “R” next to his name and pretending to run as a conservative?  The FACT that it has been reported that he claims to be a Christian, but never saw the need to ask God for forgiveness because “he hasn’t done anything wrong” is an outright admission that Trump doesn’t believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ and dismisses the need for repentance at the foot of the cross.

[Update: Commenter Gohawgs over at Kingsjester’s blog reminded me of the Bill Clinton called Trump weeks before launching 2016 presidential bid. One more reason not to trust him!]

2.  Kasich, though recently married was known as a homosexual during many years of his life in Congress.  He had a homosexual roommate during those years.  What straight man would do that?  He also thought that the transgender agenda to change the bathroom laws was a good idea.  Why doesn’t he see how dangerous this would be for his own daughters and his current wife?  It is crazy that he is still in the race anyway because he only won one state and has what…about 137 delegates?  He is also for the Syrian refugee influx into our nation.  Does he not realize that ISIS terrorists who do not hesitate to behead hostages have stated that they want to hide among the refuges and come across the border from Mexico?  This is insanity!  I don’t think he has a real chance anyway so he can be eliminated from the choices.

We already have a homosexual and Muslim sympathizer in the White House who has often taken his marching orders from ValEVIL Jarrett – who is Iranian born.  Why would we want another?

3.  Cruz has been allegedly accused of several extra-marital affairs.  But the source was a tabloid newspaper.  How strange it is to see that one of Trump’s current supporters and spokespersons was included on that list?  She denied any affair with Cruz, of course.  Was this story planted by the Trump team?  So… what is the truth?

Plus,  Cruz has questions surrounding him regarding eligibility for POTUS.  But the public is so used to ignoring the Constitution anyway that maybe that won’t even matter

4.  Commie Bernie and Crooked Hillary are “hell no” candidates – which goes without any need for additional comment.

Politics is such a dirty business and has been for decades now.  The only vote for president that I am still proud of over the course of my lifetime was my vote for Ronald Reagan.

I live in CA (in a more conservative area) but the majority here are a bunch of fruits and nuts.  Due to the overwhelmingly democrat  population, my vote won’t count in the general election anyway.

If Trump wins the nomination, I’m sorry to disappoint you but I just could not vote for him.  He is a celebrity-type combination of a sleazy salesman and carnival barker all in one.  He is saying things (and often contradicting himself) that he thinks people want to hear in order to get elected.  Sounds much like 0bama 2.0 with an “R” next to his name.

When Arnold Schwarzenegger ran for governor of CA, I chose Tom McClintock on the ballot and I have never regretted that vote!  Arnold was a celebrity disaster waiting to ruin our state and I see Trump in much the same way – ready to ruin our nation.  Why?  Because his own campaign people have admitted that Trump claims that he will change what he has been saying in order to get elected once he’s in there.  What if one of the topics that he will “change his mind” about are refugees from Syria where terrorists are infiltrating in order to get into the U.S. via Mexico? How can someone like that be trusted?

So…which one will be “the lesser of two evils?”

It seems like every other day we report something Obama has said that leaves us bewildered.

This time, he’s out boasting about how we live in the “most peaceful” era in history.

I suppose 9/11, ISIS beheadings and the slaughter of innocents in Paris could have escaped his mind in that moment.  Sure.

Minimizing the threat and touting our good fortune are well-known Obama tactics to distract the sheeple from reality.

Just because he has stalled the war against militant islamic terrorism doesn’t mean there isn’t a war to be fought.

Right vs. Wrong Has Been Replaced by an Us vs. Them Morality in the Culture Wars

April 22, 2016

Personally, I do not always agree with everything that Rush Limbaugh says on his radio program.  However, there were four segments yesterday that help explain why right vs. wrong has been replaced by an “us vs. them” kind of mindset within our nation’s views about morality; as well as the current culture wars battles raging across our country.

Go to Rush Limbaugh.com and read the transcripts of the following headlines:

1.  The Bathroom Battle: Right vs. Wrong Has Been Replaced by Us vs.Them

I was listening to his radio show yesterday, and I thought that Rush was spot on with his analysis that many people do not see issues as “right vs. wrong,” anymore, but have more of an “us vs. them” mentality when it comes to moral issues and biblical principles. Conservatives (and especially Bible-based Christians are the “them” in his analysis).

Excerpt:

RUSH: The key to understanding this, folks, in my humble estimation, is that it’s not about right versus wrong anymore.  It can’t be or we wouldn’t be losing these things. Right versus wrong, the left has been clever in eliminating that, right versus wrong, as a determinant in behavior.  And what it’s been replaced by is us versus them.  Us versus them.  And the “us” are the oppressed, grievance-filled minorities who feel like they have been denied liberty, freedom, whatever they think they’ve been denied by these evil majorities.  We are the villain.  And that’s the battle now.

IMHO, this explains why certain people who once held to biblical morality (or, perhaps never did in the first place and just claimed that they did??) have been fooled away from such beliefs.  Perhaps they ignore them now because they are not “cool.”   They will overlook so many of the false narratives that persons like Trump gets away with via the media of mass deception.

Why would people do this?

Because they just want to win an election SO BADLY that they will dismiss in their own minds what is clearly written out in Scripture as being wrong; and they also allow themselves to turn a blind eye to what has always been considered right – morally speaking.  Thus, it’s an “us vs. them” battle going on – even across political party lines!

4.  Your EIB Lesson of the Day: In Order to Attract Voters to Our Side, We Must Abandon Everything We Believe In.

Side note:  The last caller of the day in this segment revealed a fact that the media of mass deception isn’t telling the public!

Excerpt:

CALLER: Well, Rush, I just wanted to make clear the fact that the Donald is making issue statements about not having all the information. Here in Charlotte, the city council was hijacked by the LGBT community, and they changed the law for nondiscrimination, opening up the bathroom portion of the law.

RUSH: Right.

CALLER: And now he makes a statement that we should keep it the same. Well, it was changed, and now we gotta fight.

RUSH: Yeah, here’s the point. This is a good point. It’s a good point. What Alan is saying here is they had laws in North Carolina for bathrooms. Men’s room, women’s room and so forth, and LGBT activists — actually in North Carolina I think it was a noted sex offender, an accused sex offender, convicted, pushed the change in the law to where there’s essentially no signs and anybody can use any bathroom at any time at all based on how they feel, how they want to present or what have you.

And he says that Trump’s argument today was they should just leave it the way it was. And Alan’s point, the way it was was perfectly fine until some political agitators came along and advocated for the change to accommodate them. And if the argument is gonna be leave it the way it was, the way it was was the way it was for decades, centuries, if you will. So, Alan I’m glad that you were able to get that in using brevity. Appreciate it.

END TRANSCRIPT

Did you catch that specific information about the accused sex offender pushing such an aberrant law that was revealed in the Rush’s comment?

What Alan is saying here is they had laws in North Carolina for bathrooms. Men’s room, women’s room and so forth, and LGBT activists — actually in North Carolina I think it was a noted sex offender, an accused sex offender, convicted, pushed the change in the law to where there’s essentially no signs and anybody can use any bathroom at any time at all based on how they feel, how they want to present or what have you.”

A convicted sex offender pushed the change in the law!  Those of us sounding the alarm bells for protection of little girls in the lady’s restroom are correct to be absolutely outraged about this!!!  The insanity just gets worse and worse!

Now, let’s change gears and talk about what we can learn from God’s Word about this or any other issue regarding morality.

Bible-based Christians call such abandoning of moral values as “exchanging the truth for a lie.”

Jesus reveals “the father of lies” in John 8:44.

Jhn 8:44

“You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

Paul reiterates this truth and how the righteousness of God DOESN’T CHANGE (even though there are men who will try!) and that we are not to conform to the ungodly lusts of this fallen world.

Rom 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ,[fn] for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

Rom 1:17

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”[fn]

Rom 1:18

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,

Rom 1:19

because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.

Rom 1:20

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,

Rom 1:21

because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

Rom 1:22

Professing to be wise, they became fools,

Rom 1:23

and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

Rom 1:24

Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves,

Rom 1:25

who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

Rom 1:26

For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.

Rom 1:27

Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

Rom 1:28

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

Rom 1:29

being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality,[fn] wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers,

Rom 1:30

backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

Rom 1:31

undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving,[fn] unmerciful;

Rom 1:32

who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

My prayer is that Christians who think that they are being “tolerant” by staying silent about the immorality permeating our culture will wake up, STAND UP,  and stand firm for the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

When John the Baptist was the voice crying out in the wilderness for people to repent:

Mat 3:1

In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea,

Mat 3:2

and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!”

Mat 3:3

For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying:

“The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
‘Prepare the way of the LORD;
Make His paths straight.’ ”[fn]

He was announcing the long-awaited coming of the Messiah’s appearance!

Mat 4:17

From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

This fulfilled the prophecy in Isaiah:

Mat 4:13

And leaving Nazareth, He came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali,

Mat 4:14

that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:

Mat 4:15

“The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali,
By the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan,
Galilee of the Gentiles:

Mat 4:16

The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light,
And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death
Light has dawned.”[fn]

Trump/Drumpf Isn’t What He Seems and is Wildly Inconsistent

April 22, 2016

Originally, this wasn’t the exact topic that I had planned to blog about today.  However,  before I get to the main focus of my next post, I wanted to inform readers about the Trump family name change.  Originally, it was “Drumpf.”  There is a Bustle.com website article entitled What Does Drumpf Mean? Donald Trump’s Original Family Surname Has An Apt Translation.

When I first heard about the “Drumpf” designation being applied to Trump, I thought that it was just a derogatory, but made-up name being spewed by his detractors!  Turns out that it was his original family surname!

A link within the article over at Vox.com informs us of the meaning of the “Drumpf” name and how one man is actively pursuing to get this name revealed to the public.

Vox.com: John Oliver has the Donald Trump takedown America has been waiting for.

Well, I doubt that Oliver’s efforts would be successful, but the information at that site is quite interesting.

Excerpt:

“I get that the character of Donald Trump is entertaining, and that he says things that people want to hear,” Oliver said. “And I know that his very name is powerful.”

But Oliver argued that Trump isn’t what he seems. Here are some of the qualities many supporters have listed about Trump — and Oliver’s counterpoints:

  • “He tells it like it is”: “Does he? Because the website PolitiFact checked 77 of his statements, and rated 76 percent of them as varying degrees of false.”
  • “He is truly independent and not beholden to anyone”: “While it is true that he hasn’t taken corporate money, the implication that he has personally spent $20 to $25 million is a bit of a stretch, because what he’s actually done is loaned his own campaign $17.5 million and has just personally given just $250,000. And that’s important, because up until the convention he can pay himself back for the loan with campaign funds.”
  • “He’s tough”: “For a tough guy, he has incredibly thin skin. Back in 1988, Spy magazine called him a short-fingered vulgarian. And ever since, the editor Graydon Carter says he receives envelopes from Trump, always with a photo on which he circled his hand to highlight the length of his fingers, usually with a note reading, ‘See, not so short!'”
  • “His success”: “While yes, he has made more money than most of us will make in a lifetime, not only did he get a multimillion-dollar inheritance from his father, but he’s also lost a huge amount.”Oliver then played a clip of Trump’s daughter saying, “I remember once my father and I were walking down Fifth Avenue and there was a homeless person sitting right outside of Trump Tower. And I remember my father pointing to him and saying, ‘You know, that guy has $8 billion more than me.’ Because he was in such extreme debt at that point.”

Oliver also noted one other issue with Trump: He’s wildly inconsistent. “He’s been pro-choice and pro-life, for and against assault weapon bans, in favor of both bringing in Syrian refugees and deporting them out of the country.”

Or take Trump’s inconsistent statements on former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard David Duke’s endorsement of Trump. To CNN, Trump said, “I don’t know anything about David Duke. Okay? I don’t know anything about what you’re even talking about with white supremacy or white supremacists.”

Oliver was not having it, pointing to Trump’s past remarks to journalists: “Really? That’s your best answer there? Because you definitely know who he is — partly because you called him ‘a bigot’ and ‘a racist’ in the past.”

The quote from Trump/Drumpf’s daughter was very telling. Makes me very uneasy that Trump/Drumpf has squandered millions and has declared bankruptcy several times in his life. Plus, how weird is it for him to have stated the following about the homeless man?

‘You know, that guy has $8 billion more than me.’ Because he was in such extreme debt at that point.”

Well, maybe that’s just hearsay.  But even more disturbing is what Oliver wrote about Trump/Drumpf claiming that he is “truly independent and not beholding to anyone.”

Let’s see that paragraph again:

While it is true that he hasn’t taken corporate money, the implication that he has personally spent $20 to $25 million is a bit of a stretch, because what he’s actually done is loaned his own campaign $17.5 million and has just personally given just $250,000. And that’s important, because up until the convention he can pay himself back for the loan with campaign funds.”

Did you know that?  I didn’t.

Consistent readers here know that in the past, I have labeled Donald Trump/Drumpf as a combination of a sleazy salesman and blowhard carnival barker.  That was based mostly on his celebrity status and famously vile utterings that showed him to be a liberal/progressive democrat trying to disguise himself as a conservative republican in order to win votes from uninformed voters.

*SIGH…*

But that’s only the tip of the iceberg compared to all the reasons not to vote for him that are shared at The Odyssey Online!

Syncretism Stew

April 17, 2016

Stew…

In the comment section of this post,  I introduced several columns, including Berean Research: Evangelicals Divided, A Movement Fractured, Part 1 written by Marsha West. Upon further research, I found that West’s columns can also be found at Renew America.

I have only read about half a dozen of her essays, but they have all been absolutely on-target for those of us who hold to biblically-based Christianity!

Her column entitled Purpose Driven dismantling of Christianity, Part 1, written back in 2011 caught my eye this morning.

Excerpt:

The real danger to traditional Christianity is not from without, but from within its own ranks. Millions of professing Christians have conformed to the world and have been taken in “through philosophy” and “the tradition of men” and are “not after Christ.” (Col. 2:8) Not that this is anything new. The attempt to blend Christianity with paganism has been going on since the days of the early church. And here we are 2 millennia later, still fighting some of the same battles.

One of the major problems Christendom is combating is pagan spirituality. The pace at which unbiblical pagan beliefs are seeping into evangelical churches is dramatically quickening. Many of the orthodoxy have been sounding the alarm, but few have been listening.

Liberalism, with its false social justice gospel, has also reared its ugly head in the Church of Jesus Christ. The liberal “social justice Christian” sees traditionalists as out of touch with the times. Their clarion call is: The Church must change! The next generation of Purpose Driven pastor’s accuse traditionalists who speak out against change agents of being “haters.” Purpose Driven/charismatic pastor Steven Furtick rapped his disdain for outspoken traditionalists in Hey Haters. “Fall back! It’s a new day!” he rebuked. The orthodoxy’s “day is done.” They are “haters…nit-pickers…black and white…full of opinions, low on the Spirit.” Steven seemed angry, even, well, low on the Spirit. I saw no love emanating from this pastor’s eyes, what I saw was arrogance.

I have been sounding the alarm bells regarding the heresy of Rick Warren over the past several years, but Ms. West does a superb job in listing not only the wrongs of the “purpose driven” Warren in this piece, but also shares the mix of “syncretism stew” that is currently ravaging many local churches (especially, sadly, several mega churches) that were once biblically based!

West writes, “liberals were serving up platefuls of Christian stew” and lulling them into “la la land” through a “blend of Christianity with paganism.”

I know SO MANY PEOPLE that I would LOVE to share this with!  Especially, there is a great need to share this information with Millennials who have fallen for unbiblical pagan beliefs.  However, in today’s twitter and texting generation, an article like this would probably cause their eyes to glaze over and they would not even get past the 140 characters that they are used to reading at any given time.   Sad observation, isn’t it?  And, I know this is true because I have shared previous articles with some 25 to 30-something individuals.  But when I ask “did you read…” I get the usual, “no, didn’t read it yet.”  They probably read the first line or two and perhaps decided to reject what was being said?  Well, maybe some day they will come back to this blog and read the difference between biblical Christianity and the satanic stew being mixed in by the “change agents.”

Ms. West explains what she means by “syncretism.”

SYNCRETISM

False teaching has made inroads through the blending of religions. It’s called syncretism. Syncretism in Protestantism occurred when elements of other religious beliefs were integrated into mainstream denominations. As syncretism takes place fundamental beliefs change.

Those involved in syncretism have a name and a goal:

Grievous wolves (Acts 20:29) masquerading as evangelicals introduced false religious beliefs (abominations) into mainline churches. Many of them are forthcoming about what they’re doing, others not so much. Their main goal is as I stated above, change. The plan (yes, they have a plan) is to dismantle historic orthodox Christianity and usher in a “new paradigm,” a “new kind of Christianity.”

Ms. West lists the ingredients of syncretism stew:

SYNCRETISM STEW

Ingredients:

Darwinian evolution
Eastern religions
Neognosticism
Neopaganism
New Age
Theosophy
Transformation
Simmer for several decades, then gradually turn up the heat and add an abundance of ‘isms’:
Annihilationism
Communitarianism
Cultural Marxism
Ecumenism
Emotionalism
Environmentalism
Freudian naturalism
Globalism
Homoeroticism
Inclusivism
Liberalism/progressivism
Moral relativism
Multiculturalism
Pluralism
Postmodernism
Postmortem evangelism
Pragmatism
Secular humanism
Universalism
Bring to a rapid boil. (For added flavor sprinkle in gimmyism, meism and voyeurism.)

While the isms boil, toss in a whole lotta movements, phenomena, and worldly practices:
Alternative medicine
Angelology
Charismatic
Church Growth
Contemplative
Emergent
Global Peace
Man-centered (self-esteem)
Metaphysical
New Apostolic Reformation/Kingdom Now/Dominionism
New Revelation
Pentecostal
Progressive (social justice)
Purpose Driven
Psychology
Reformed
Revolution
Signs & wonders
Televangelist
Twelve-steps
Universal Reconciliation
Word of Faith (health & wealth)
Turn down the heat and simmer until the flavor of historic biblical Christianity completely disappears.

Serve to the sheep.

Quite a long list…isn’t it?

No wonder there is so much confusion going on in the lives of Christians who do not, and have not, studied the Scriptures in order to recognize heresy, apostasy, and the satanic “stew” being fed to them via the wolves in sheep’s clothing!

I encourage all to read the entire article!

When Christians realize, study, understand, and finally see the following:

“The attempt to blend Christianity with paganism [which] has been going on since the days of the early church.  And here we are 2 millennia later, still fighting some of the same battles.”

…it means that they have taken the Berean road towards discovering the truth within God’s Word through diligent study of the Scriptures so that they can earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

One more excerpt:

Followers of Jesus Christ are commanded to contend for the faith! Listen to what Jude 1:3, 4 says:

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ that was once for all entrusted to the saints.

According to Clark’s commentary:

The meaning of the apostle seems to be this: ‘Beloved brethren, when I saw it necessary to write to you concerning the common salvation, my mind being deeply affected with the dangers to which the Church is exposed from the false teachers that are gone out into the world, I found it extremely necessary to write and exhort you to hold fast the truth which you had received, and strenuously to contend for that only faith which, by our Lord and his apostles, has been delivered to the Christians.’

Correcting the Insanity of the Transgender Bathroom Ordinances

April 14, 2016

OK…it’s time to talk about the transgender bathroom ordinances and the subsequent and necessary bills that have been created in order to correct the insanity of such transgender bathroom regulations in several states.

First of all, I would not EVER want to be in a situation like the following:

H/T for graphic:  Kingsjester’s blog

In my case, it would be a visit to the lady’s room with my granddaughter.  She is now almost 5 months old, but if these stupid, liberal-leftist dangerous and crazy laws aren’t challenged and eliminated, then it would be something that she and I might have to face in the future.

I will share two great blogs that have posted on this issue.  They both make excellent points!

Kingsjester’s Blog: “Mommy, There’s a Man in the Bathroom!”: The Progressive War Against American Freedom of Thought

Excerpt:

The actions of North Carolina and Mississippi, goes against the unified thought process of Liberals. American Individual Freedom of Thought and Traditional Morality and Value System of America, instilled in the majority of Americans, by American Christianity.

Traditional American Morality and Values are a roadblock to Progressives’ Plans, as regards to the “Good of the State”.

So, when you see Liberals Musicians like Bruce Springsteen and Bryan Adams cancel concerts in North Carolina and Mississippi, and Corporations expressing their “concerns” of the passage of these laws, it is all a part of a concerted effort to get us “all in line”.

Unfortunately for those who espouse the “singularity of thought” of the Hive-mind, they will never win.

We are Americans. We cherish our Faith, our Families, and our Freedom of Thought.

We will not be assimilated.

Bruce Springsteen Ringo Starr et al driven by egos agenda not concern for NC citizens, Charlotte ordinance endangered women and children, HB2 protects all citizens, NC registered sex offenders list proves danger, LGBT status not the problem or issue.

Yes…that’s a long title! But the points he makes in the post cannot be denied!

This post is difficult to just excerpt. Here is a copy of most of the post:

There is an epidemic of stupid, irrational political position and entertainment culture in this country.

Just because you can sing, entertain, act, etc. does not mean you are intelligent, paying attention, rational, etc.

Two recent examples:

Bruce Springsteen and Ringo Starr as well as numerous companies.

Apparently they believe that they are smarter or better informed than the folks in NC.

THEY ARE NOT!

Many people are missing the point.

The danger inherent in the Charlotte ordinance and protected by NC HB2 is allowing anyone to use the public bathroom of choice.

This has little to do with LGBT status.

It has to do primarily with documented sexual predators like the man in Charlotte who was convicted of molesting underage male(s).

North Carolina has statistics on registered sexual offenders.

For example:

Mecklenburg County (Charlotte):  894.

Guilford (Greensboro): 807.

From the NC Department Of Public Safety Offender Statistics:

“Statistics reflected on this page have been extracted from information entered by North Carolina Sheriff’s Offices into the NC Sex Offender and Public Protection Registry database. The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation serves as the collection and entry point for this information.

These statistics provide approximate numbers. The accuracy of these statistics may be impacted by certain limitations such as delays or errors in processing information or delay or errors in the system’s operation.

Not all offenders are included in this report because of different registration requirements. Offenders whose status is listed as pending are not included in this report.”

http://sexoffender.ncsbi.gov/stats.aspx

So, as you can plainly see, the Charlotte ordinance was a stupid irresponsible idea and NC HB2 protects women and children.

My suggestion for all of us, those who are rational and care, is to boycott Bruce Springsteen, Ringo Starr and others who are acting irresponsible and stupid.

If you had planned to see them in concert, use your time and money more responsibly.

Learn the facts.

Quit being part of our dumbed down entertain culture.

Perhaps most tellingly, Rep. Mark Meadows suggested that the whole thing is overblown. “Men need to use the men’s restroom. Women need to use the women’s restroom.” Meadows told The Daily Signal. “For over 200 years, we haven’t had a problem defining that.”

Over at National Review, David French looks at some of the issues that are prone to crop up when restrooms are not kept sex-specific:

“Transgender and unisex bathroom regulations empower terrible people. Sexual predators are diabolical, and the worst thing the law can do is to make access to women and girls in their most vulnerable and private moments easy for predators. It’s insane.”

Yes…it is insane!!!

What could possibly be worse than exposing women and girls to sexual predators via crazy “laws” like these bathroom ordinances?  It’s just insane and evil!  Why risk the lives of women and girls in this way?

Jesus had much condemnation about causing little ones who believe in Him to be offended, caused to stumble or caused to sin.

Mat 18:6

“But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Mar 9:42

“But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea.

Luk 17:2

“It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.
