The Play Along to Get Along RINOS

October 31, 2015

I must admit that I really liked Rubio, until I read this article:
WND:
GOP honchos now swooning over ‘amnesty man’
Debate performance ‘solidified his position as establishment frontrunner’
.

Rubio was a Tea Party “darling” – which helped get him elected to the Senate. Since then, however, he has mostly sided with the RINOS and establishment types. What a disappointment!

That, in combination with the terrible “budget deal” that cry-baby Boehner worked out with 0zero before leaving as speaker tells me that there are more “establishment” Republicans (RINOS) in the House than previously suspected. Ryan will, sadly and unfortunately, probably turn out to be Boehner #2.

I wonder…are there dozens of Republicans in Congress who have skeletons in their closet and therefore play along to get along so that they don’t end up like pedophile/pederast Hastert? This BADministration most likely digs up dirt on EVERYONE, and there are most likely only a few in the GOP that could survive against accusations being hurled at them! And, if exposed, such sins would cost them everything – job, family, money, reputation etc. Therefore, they are content to let our debt explode and let 0bamafraud get his way – and to H&LL with We the People!

I am finding myself only willing to trust Dr. Ben Carson and maybe Ted Cruz. However, there are claims that according to the U.S. Constitution, Cruz may not be eligible. *Sigh* What is a born-again Christian conservative woman like myself supposed to do?

Trump irritates me! (I know, many reading here might support him but sorry I must be truthful). However, what is said about him and is evidenced about how his adult children have thrived and not fallen into the evils of society (e.g. the drug culture) says a lot about the good kind of father he has been. That’s a plus in my book!

Perhaps the only way that the evil establishment cartel in Babylonian-like Washington D.C. will be brought down is by an outsider.

Reagan was the last Republican “outsider” that got into the presidency, but he must have been kept in line (assassination attempt?) not to reveal what’s REALLY going on with the elites who are pushing towards a socialist/communist/totalitarian/pro-Islamic stew of deceit which is purposely designed and h&ll-bent on destroying our Constitution and this nation!

Well, thanks for reading. One day, the truth will come out and be known about 0zero and I pray that it will awaken those who are still oblivious to the harm that he and those before him have perpetrated upon our beloved nation!

Num 32:23 “But if you do not do so, then take note, you have sinned against the LORD; and be sure your sin will find you out.

Which Jesus Do You Follow?

October 27, 2015

This is too good to miss so here is a copy (via  Pastor Ward Clinton’s blog):

which Jesus

Follow the right Jesus and this earth is the closest you’ll get to Hell; follow the wrong Jesus and this earth is the closest you’ll get to Heaven.

By the way, whether you realize it or not, you are following one or the other.  Following the right Jesus has to be done on purpose.

Could We Be Living in a 21st Century Babylon?

October 27, 2015

When I get into conversations with friends, family, and even some acquaintances, I find that people are highly disturbed about the wrong direction that our nation is heading!  The down-ward spiral of lawlessness, moral deviancy, murder, lies, sin, darkness, sadness, and desperate madness is certainly greatly alarming!  We see people here in America and many countries around the world in a state of  being in fear, having no genuine faith, no hope, no grace, and no light to show them the way to God!

Where do we need to go?

Answer:  God’s Word – the Bible!

For me, the book of John pointed towards my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ and the need to be born again.  Through confession and repentance of my sin at the foot of the Cross, I can then ask for forgiveness.  In faith, through Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit came (as he promised – the Helper) to indwell my heart.  Through studying the Bible with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Scriptures came alive for me; leading me to the truth.

What’s more, the study of Bible prophecy both in the Old and New Testaments further reveals the truth of God’s Word and cements my decision to forever believe in and follow Jesus Christ!  I pray, dear reader, that you will do the same!

There are (unfortunately) Christian churches that have made the decision to not study end times Bible prophecy.  The reasons?  Might it have something to do with not “scaring” people away?  Or, the perception of some pastors that it’s just “too difficult” for laypersons in the church to read, study, and learn?  I’m sure there could be dozens of reasons, but my suggestion is to find another pastor who will share this vital biblical information with you!

One such pastor who is willing to share end times prophecy and the meaning of it all with both his church and the world via Turning Point ministries is Dr. David Jeremiah.

This Fall, Bible prophecy comes alive in the Dr. Jeremiah’s TV series and book entitled “Agents of Babylon.”

Most people have heard about the account in the Bible where the prophet Daniel was thrown into the lions den in order to be executed for not bowing down to the pagan king (who declared himself “god”).

But there is MUCH more to learn regarding Daniel, as well as other agents of Babylon. Please view the Hall of Prophecy: Babylon trailer.

At the end of the of the trailer is the question:

“Could we be living in a 21st century Babylon?”

My answer? It certainly appears that way!

The latest episode (which can be viewed online) is entitled, “The Lion King.”

But readers can catch up on all of the episodes at the Home Page for the series.

There are interactive studies Here.

All of the TV episodes are really good! But if I were to choose just two episodes, it would be the above link to “The Lion King” and episode 3 “The Colossus”.

The colossus

Nebuchadnezzar’s dream reveals an outline for all of world history, from Babylon all the way to the coming of Christ—but where do we appear on this prophetic timeline? “

It is amazing to realize that Daniel’s dream interpretation (given by God to Daniel) of Nebuchadnezzar’s frightening and disturbing dream was only prophecy at the time. But we have practically the entire history of the kingdoms of man (with one to come) to see how Daniel’s prophecies came true! [Note: Also see Got Questions: What is the meaning of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream in Daniel 2?

Interesting enough, the Got Questions link above says the following about Daniel’s prophecy:

Many scholars have contrasted Nebuchadnezzar’s dream in Daniel 2 with Daniel’s vision in chapter 7. Both passages reveal the coming world kingdoms, but the symbolism is strikingly different in each. The pagan king sees the kingdoms of this world as a towering work of art, impressive in size, value, and grandeur (albeit with feet of clay). God’s prophet sees the same kingdoms as bizarre, unnatural beasts, terrifying in aspect and behavior. It’s a difference of perspective: where man sees a stately, glittering tribute to himself, God sees a menagerie of aberrations. “Let us not be desirous of vain glory” (Galatians 5:26, KJV).

See this interactive study on Daniel 7 in order to understand the vision of the four beasts that are also described in the book of Revelation!

Speaking of Christ’s coming kingdom:

His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed.

Amen!!!

The Power of Prayer

October 26, 2015

It is certainly funny – not the “ha ha” kind of funny, but the kind that means:

3. warranting suspicion; deceitful; underhanded:
We thought there was something funny about those extra charges.

and

5. curious; strange; peculiar; odd:
Her speech has a funny twang.

TODD STARNES
School threatens to fire praying football coach

Excerpt from first link:

For years the former Marine combat veteran would walk alone to the 50-yard line and offer a prayer of thanksgiving and blessing after football games. He drew inspiration for his post-game prayers from “Facing the Giants”, a popular faith-based film. Over the years, players and coaches from both teams would join him — on their own volition.

On Sept. 27th [Superintendent Aaron] Leavell fired off a letter to the coach warning him to cease and desist.

“Your talks with students may not include religious expression, including prayer,” he wrote. “They must remain entirely secular in nature, so as to avoid alienation of any team member.”

In his most recent letter, Leveall said the school district would be glad to provide a place for Coach Joe to pray — so long as it was in private — “not observable to students or the public.”

“For example, a private location within the school building, athletic facility or press box could be made available to you for brief religious exercise before and after games,” Superintendent Leavell wrote.

To be clear, Coach Joe is forbidden from bowing his head, taking a knee or doing anything that might remotely be construed as religious.

“While on duty for the District as an assistant coach, you may not engage in demonstrative religious activity, readily observable to (of not intended to be observed by) students and the attending public,” the superintendent added.

That means he’s not even allowed to bow his head behind the bleachers where the kids are smoking pot.

Liberty Institute, the nation’s largest law firm specializing in religious liberty cases, is preparing to initiate legal proceedings against the school district — accusing them of religious discrimination.

“They’ve already punished Coach Joe by denying his request for religious accommodation,” attorney Hiram Sasser told me. “Under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, they’ve already violated his civil rights.”

Superintendent Leavell stressed in his letter that the district does not prohibit prayer or other religious exercises by its employees.

“However, it must prohibit any conduct by employees that would serve as District endorsement of religion,” he said.

Sasser said the district’s argument is outrageous.

“What they are saying is he cannot pray by himself, he cannot simply take a knee at the 50-yard-line,” Sasser said. “That’s like telling a coach he can’t wear a yarmulke if he’s Jewish, he can’t wear a turban if he’s a Sikh, he can’t pray to Mecca if he’s a Muslim, he can’t wear a cross necklace if he’s a Christian.”

Late last week State Superintendent Randy Dorn released a statement backing the school district.

“It’s unfortunate when the actions of one employee affect an entire district,” Dorn said.

As if a football coach who prays for his team is doing engaged in some sort of criminal enterprise.

Dorn went on to suggest that teachers like Coach Joe are not good role models.

“School staff exercising their right to silently pray in private on their own is fine. But leading a prayer isn’t,” he said. “School officials are role models; leading a prayer might put a student in an awkward position, even if the prayer is voluntary. For students who don’t share the official’s faith, players, the official’s public expression of faith can seem exclusionary or even distressing.”

For the record, Coach Joe never invited anyone to pray with him — especially students. They chose to participate by their own free will.

Sasser said the state superintendent does have a point – there are people in the state of Washington who feel disenfranchised — Christians.

“When they find out a coach can’t even silently pray at the 50-yard-line, there’s no greater message of hostility than that,” Sasser told me. “This is not a school being neutral. This is a school being hostile to religion – and we are going to hold them accountable.”

Provided Coach Joe still has a job on Friday night, he plans to do what he’s done after every other football game.

“I’m going to keep on praying,” he said.

Good for this coach!  He is willing to STAND UP for his First Amendment rights which includes freedom of religion, freedom of association, and freedom of speech!

It’s “funny” [see above definitions] how individuals like Aaron Leavell, who is obviously an advocate for secularism, deems voluntary prayer by a coach, his team, and teammates from the opponents (no less!) as “exclusionary” and/or “distressing.”  Whether or not Aaron Leavell believes in prayer, it sure seems as though he thinks that prayer is powerful enough to cause the angst of non-believers  like him, and thus make a demand for its exclusion!

We were so lost on earth, no peace, no worth, no way to escape. In fear, no faith, no hope, no grace, and no light. But…

October 24, 2015

Empty manger, perfect stranger about to be born

Into darkness, sadness, desperate madness, creation so torn

We were so lost on earth, no peace, no worth, no way to escape

In fear, no faith, no hope no grace, and no light,

And The World Didn’t Know…

October 23, 2015

“And the world didn’t know, mercy was meek and so mild.

And the world didn’t know that truth was as pure as a child.

The night before Christmas. [2x]

And the world didn’t know, redemption was sweet and so strong.

And the world didn’t know salvation was writing a song.

The night before Christmas. [3x]

– Brandon Heath

Even though Christmas is months away, this particular song and music video is one that not only tells us about the birth of Christ, but it also shares how lost and fallen the world was before our Savior came to rescue us.

Our world is lost and fallen today;  for those who live without the meaning and redemption of our souls through the cross of Jesus Christ.  It’s a favorite song that I could listen to over and over again!

Complete song lyrics:

The Night Before Christmas

by Brandon Heath.

Empty manger, perfect stranger about to be born

Into darkness, sadness, desperate madness, creation so torn

We were so lost on earth, no peace, no worth, no way to escape

In fear, no faith, no hope no grace, and no light,

But that was the night before Christmas

Warm hay, cold sweat, a mother, not yet.
Praying godspeed the dawn

She looks to her man, holding her hand.
They wonder how long.

And the shepherds, wise men come to find them, and bow to a king.

One star above shining on love, so bright it lit up the night before Christmas.

And the world didn’t know, mercy was meek and so mild.

And the world didn’t know that truth was as pure as a child.

The night before Christmas. [2x]

The Unsanctified Heart is the Devil’s Palace

October 10, 2015

Luke 11 is a chapter that informs us of what Jesus taught during His ministry on earth.  But of course there were non-believers who tried to  twist his good work and make the false claims that his miracles were of the devil.  This chapter also demonstrates what the world is like today.  There are several parts that can be discussed, so here is a brief comment about what is contained within the chapter:

In this chapter,

  • I. Christ teaches his disciples to pray, and quickens and encourages them to be frequent, instant, and urgent in prayer (v. 1-13).
  • II. He fully answers the blasphemous imputation of the Pharisees, who charged him with casting out devils by virtue of a compact and confederacy with Beelzebub, the prince of the devils, and shows the absurdity and wickedness of it (v. 14-26).
  • III. He shows the honor of obedient disciples to be greater than that of his own mother (v. 27, 28).
  • IV. He upbraids the men of that generation for their infidelity and obstinacy, notwithstanding all the means of conviction offered to them (v. 29-36).
  • V. He severely reproves the Pharisees and consciences of those that submitted to them, and their hating and persecuting those that witnessed against their wickedness (v. 37-54).

That last one where Jesus ‘severely reproves the Pharisees and the consciences of those that followed the ways of that group, leads them to hate and persecute those that witnessed against their wickedness’ is a portrait of what had happened then, and what is also happening even today in the current culture wars.

Let’s see how we can apply this towards today’s culture.

1. The wickedness of death to babies in the womb is turned (by the far leftists) into a hatred and persecution against Christians who value life and speak up in protest that murdering an unborn child in the womb is an egregious sin and breaks the commandment, “Thou shalt not murder.” Yet, the proponents of abortion spout twisted lies about “a woman’s right to choose” and “the right for a woman to rule her own body” as excuses to condone such evil practice. My choice in this? Choose life – your mother did!

2. The wickedness of sexual sin, in all of its lustful forms and manifestations, including adultery, porn, pedophilia, pederasty, rape, homosexuality and trans-genderism. God made us male and female. He created marriage as the union of one man and one woman. All of the re-defining that evil people want to embrace does not change God’s mind on this issue! Therefore, the Christians who stand by their convictions on moral matters are attacked with hatred and persecution. Why? Because we witness against their wickedness.

3. The wickedness of lies, greed, political totalitarianism and persecutions (in all its forms and “isms”)  – I could go on and on – all fall under the same category of hatred and persecution being spewed against Christians because of their steadfast faith. Why? Because we witness against their wickedness.

Jesus encourages his listeners when he says:

Luk 11:9

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

Luk 11:10

“For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

But in Luke 11:13 he tells us that we are all evil!

Luk 11:13

“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

That is true!

Before conversion through Christ’s saving grace at the cross, we then, being evil still know how to give good gifts to our children. But the more important point to realize is “how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

There we have it!

Conversion through Christ is the ONLY WAY to escape the coming judgment that we all would deserve!  If it were not for Jesus’ death on the cross for our sakes in order to gain the forgiveness of our sins and be reconciled back unto God, we would be unable to enter into the kingdom of heaven!

I really enjoy reading the commentaries of the masters via the Blue Letter Bible website. Matthew Henry has a long commentary on Luke 11, but the following encapsulation is the pertinent portion that I would like to include and apply within this post.

We are looking at Luke 11:14-28.

Matthew Henry writes:

But, when Christ cast out devils, he needed not do it by any compact with them, for he was stronger than they, and could do it by force, and did it so as to ruin Satan’s power and blast his great design by that doctrine and that grace which break the power of sin, and so rout Satan’s main body, take from him all his armour, and divide his spoils, which no one devil ever did to another or ever will. Now this is applicable to Christ’s victories over Satan both in the world and in the hearts of particular persons, by that power which went along with the preaching of his gospel, and does still. And so we may observe here,

(1.) The miserable condition of an unconverted sinner. In his heart, which was fitted to be a habitation of God, the devil has his palace; and all the powers and the faculties of the soul, being employed by him in the service of sin, are his goods.

Note, [1.] The heart of every unconverted sinner is the devil’s palace, where he resides and where he rules; he works in the children of disobedience. The heart is a palace, a noble dwelling; but the unsanctified heart is the devil’s palace. His will is obeyed, his interests are served, and the militia is in his hands; he usurps the throne in the soul.
[2.] The devil, as a strong man armed, keeps this palace, does all he can to secure it to himself, and to fortify it against Christ. All the prejudices with which he hardens men’s hearts against truth and holiness are the strong-holds which he erects for the keeping of his palace; this palace is his garrison.
[3.] There is a kind of peace in the palace of an unconverted soul, while the devil, as a strong man armed, keeps it. The sinner has a good opinion of himself, is very secure and merry, has no doubt concerning the goodness of his state nor any dread of the judgment to come; he flatters himself in his own eyes, and cries peace to himself. Before Christ appeared, all was quiet, because all went one way; but the preaching of the gospel disturbed the peace of the devil’s palace.

(2.) The wonderful change that is made in conversion, which is Christ’s victory over this usurper. Satan is a strong man armed; but our Lord Jesus is stronger than he, as God, as Mediator. If we speak of strength, he is strong: more are with us than against us. Observe,

[1.] The manner of this victory: He comes upon him by surprise, when his goods are in peace and the devil thinks it is all his own for ever, and overcomes him. Note, The conversion of a soul to God is Christ’s victory over the devil and his power in that soul, restoring the soul to its liberty, and recovering his own interest in it and dominion over it.
[2.] The evidences of this victory. First, He takes from him all his armour wherein he trusted. The devil is a confident adversary; he trusts to his armour, as Pharaoh to his rivers (Eze. 29:3): but Christ disarms him. When the power of sin and corruption in the soul is broken, when the mistakes are rectified, the eyes opened, the heart humbled and changed, and made serious and spiritual, then Satan’s armour is taken away.
Secondly, He divides the spoils; he takes possession of them for himself. All the endowments of mind and body, the estate, power, interest, which before were made use of in the service of sin and Satan, are now converted to Christ’s service and employed for him; yet this is not all; he makes a distribution of them among his followers, and, and having conquered Satan, gives to all believers the benefit of that victory. Hence Christ infers that, since the whole drift of his doctrine and miracles was to break the power of the devil, that great enemy of mankind, it was the duty of all to join with him and to follow his guidance, to receive his gospel and come heartily into the interests of it; for otherwise they would justly be reckoned as siding with the enemy (v. 23): He that is not with me is against me. Those therefore who rejected the doctrine of Christ, and slighted his miracles, were looked upon as adversaries to him, and in the devil’s interest.

One of the most important paragraphs to remember in the above quoted commentary, is this piece of Godly wisdom:

Note, The conversion of a soul to God is Christ’s victory over the devil and his power in that soul, restoring the soul to its liberty, and recovering his own interest in it and dominion over it.

Christ’s victory over the devil and his power in that soul is the entire purpose of salvation!

It’s about restoring the soul of individuals to its liberty!

It’s about each individual agreeing to have God recover His own interest in it (our souls) and dominion over it (each of our individual souls)!

We have learned how great the battle is between the forces of good and evil in this world. One only needs to listen to the news for just one day to see how those under Satan’s control are raging!

Only Christ provides the means by which we can gain forgiveness of our sins, and thus reconciliation of each sinful man back unto our Holy and Righteous God!

Satan will continue to rage against the plan of salvation. As Matthew Henry chillingly stated in his commentary:

[1.] The heart of every unconverted sinner is the devil’s palace, where he resides and where he rules; he works in the children of disobedience. The heart is a palace, a noble dwelling; but the unsanctified heart is the devil’s palace. His will is obeyed, his interests are served, and the militia is in his hands; he usurps the throne in the soul.

Fellow believers – be encouraged by the words of Jesus:

Luk 11:33

“No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light.

Luk 11:34

“The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness.

Luk 11:35

“Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness.

Luk 11:36

“If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light.”
