Today is a day of sadness and remembrance for all the lives that were lost during the multiple and horrific radical Islamic/Muslim terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. We also mourn the loss of four brave men who were inexplicably abandoned by our current and rogue “stand down” government; and were killed when the attack by radical Islamic terrorists in Benghazi, Libya occurred on September 11, 2012.
One of the first blog posts that I read today which contained many important and thought-provoking questions came from my blogging friend over at The Oil in Your Lamp.
He boldly states:
Some Things That Should Really Offend Us and goes on to list six questions as to why we can’t really claim that 19 Islamic terrorists didn’t achieve the beginning of the destruction of our nation as we once knew it. In fact, the attack that day was only the beginning of the continuing attacks against our nation and around the world. I urge readers here to go to the post at the link above and read them!
My thoughts are shared below after reading the essay:
Very poignant, honest, and sobering post. It is amazing to me how so many people do not understand (or see, for that matter) the intentional direction towards destruction that has exponentially increased under the tyrannical puppet-master regime of the 0zero BADministration.
This is why no Christian should ever put their ultimate and genuine hope and trust in anyone other than Jesus Christ.
Very few unredeemed men, leftist/progressive/socialist politicians, anti-American government officials, extreme rogue nations, totalitarian/Islamic/communist country evil leaders, death-culture-led civilizations or those who are found to hold to demonic creeds can ever be trusted.
However, in today’s world even some who proclaim to be “Christian” need to be held up to scrutiny in order to see whether or not they are members of the wheat or the tares.
Because many have attacked, ignored, abandoned, and/or twisted genuine belief in God’s Living Word – Jesus Christ. They have done the same towards God’s Written Word – the Bible.
Even those who might label themselves as “Christian,” do so in a noticeably worldly manner. When discussing Christianity, those based in worldly ideals utilize the “I think” mantra rather than sharing what Christ has commanded us to do through exhorting what God’s Word says.
Hopefully, I will have a powerful guest post at my blog in the near future which will demonstrate just how many younger Christians have fallen into the heretical social gospel trap.
Don’t they realize that when they cling to the things of this world rather than the way, the truth, and the life of Christ that such worldly idols will ALL one day fall to dust and blow away?
Will such a worldview as theirs be worth it in the end?
Jesus warns us:
“For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
“For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?
We all must answer Jesus’ question!
Is it more profitable to “gain the whole world” or is it more profitable to be found written in the Book of Life?
Daniel predicted it in the Old Testament:
“At that time Michael shall stand up,
The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people;
And there shall be a time of trouble,
Such as never was since there was a nation,
Even to that time.
And at that time your people shall be delivered,
Every one who is found written in the book.
And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
Some to everlasting life,
Some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Those who are wise shall shine
Like the brightness of the firmament,
And those who turn many to righteousness
Like the stars forever and ever.
John confirmed it in the New Testament:
And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, [fn] and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.
And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes [fn] an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
Colossians 3 urges us to “seek those things which are above” and “set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.”
If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.
Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
