Morality, Time, Technology, Truth and Israel at a Tipping Point

Yesterday at church, my dear friend Ciria mentioned that she has been enjoying my posts here at Talk Wisdom, especially those that discuss the signs of the end times.  Thank you Ciria!  Knowing that a Christian sister is out there reading my blog, studying the Scriptures for the signs that indicate “the days of the Son of Man,” and then sharing additional great messages on the topic is so gratifying, uplifting, and wonderful!

As Christian believers, this is how we lift each other up in the knowledge of the Word of God so that we will be prepared for good works before the Rapture, and we will be encouraged to continue to share the Gospel of Christ with those who need to know the redemption available to them through repentance at the foot of the cross of Christ!

Ciria was kind enough to share a link to Gateway where Pastor Jimmy Evans shares a series of messages that line up with the state of our current world and compare them with the signs of the times that Jesus told us to watch for regarding his return. Our Bridegroom, Jesus Christ, told us to look for these signs as an indication that the time is near, closer than ever before in the history of our world, for his return to take away his Bride.  There is nothing else that needs to be fulfilled before the Rapture, so it could happen at any time!

So far, I have listened to the Morality at a Tipping Point message, and I plan to listen to the rest of them as well.

Paul describes what man will be like in this fallen world the closer we get to the return of Jesus Christ for his Bride (The Church – all believers) (see verses 2Ti 3:1-11).

2Ti 3:1

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:

2Ti 3:2

For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

2Ti 3:3

unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,

2Ti 3:4

traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

2Ti 3:5

having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

2Ti 3:6

For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,

2Ti 3:7

always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

All we need to do is open a newspaper, read the news online, watch the news on TV, and then compare what you read and see to what Scripture says! Those verses above describe today PERFECTLY, so we know what we are up against!

2 Timothy 3

Yes! The above verses are very sobering! We need to realize that we will suffer persecution for our beliefs; and it’s happening at a much greater rate today than ever before in my lifetime! But Paul comforts us in the fact that “from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”

2Ti 3:12

Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

2Ti 3:13

But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

2Ti 3:14

But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them,

2Ti 3:15

and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

2Ti 3:16

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

2Ti 3:17

that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Luke 21

Luk 21:24

“And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

Luk 21:25

“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;

Luk 21:26

“men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

Luk 21:27

“Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

Luk 21:28

“Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

Luk 21:29

Then He spoke to them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees.

Luk 21:30

“When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near.

Luk 21:31

“So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.

Luk 21:32

“Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place.

Luk 21:33

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

Luk 21:34

“But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly.

Luk 21:35

“For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Luk 21:36

“Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy [fn] to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

I really appreciated the fact that Pastor Jimmy Evans cited several additional end times, biblically based pastors who have done excellent commentary, books, message series, and studies on the topic. He mentioned:

    Pastor John Hagee
    Dr. David Jeremiah
    Chuck Missler
    Joel Richardson

The key is to make sure they stay with the Bible!

Avoid people who claim “the Lord told me” or a personal revelation especially when what they are claiming does not agree with Scripture because that can be dangerous!

Always remember that sound doctrine is crucial!

    Hi Christine!
Thank you so much for sharing this blog and taking the time to listen and break it all down. You did a great job!!! I am delighted by this blog and the way you took the time to write out each scripture regarding the end times and proving that the Bible speaks of this generation not passing away before we see the Son of God coming down in glory to rapture His church his bride. We spur one another on to good works as the Bible speaks of! This is a great example of this going both ways here of encouraging one another as Im thiking about this more iN depth and will write more giving us some more food for thought here on this subject. Thanks again Christine for this blog!!! A must share! I Will be sharing this!

He speaks about a generation not passing away before the Lord’s return. A generation being 20-25 years and we see many of these things going on now. The Technology tipping point one speaks on grotesque technology of superhumans in the making and predicted to be in place by 2030.

        Hi Ciria!

Thanks for adding to this post with your great comments! After listening to the “morality tipping point,” I realized that I was starting with the last message of the series! Oh well…it will be OK once I get to view them all.

I noticed at that a generation can refer

to the normal or average time between two such generations of a species: about 35 years for humans

It is interesting to note what was written about what “generation” meant in the time of Abraham, and then also in Deuteronomy!

In the time of Abraham a generation was an hundred years, thus: Gen. 15:16, “In the fourth generation” = in four hundred years (comp. verse 13 and Ex. 12:40). In Deut. 1:35 and 2:14 a generation is a period of thirty-eight years.

In his commentary, Pastor Chuck Smith wrote:

        v. 34 The generation that sees Israel bud forth and become a nation again is the generation mentioned here.

My mom was born in 1924. She is 91 years old and was part of the generation that [saw Israel become a nation again.] However, the generation from 1948 (the year Israel was re-born as a nation) and on could be what is meant by this. I was born in 1954, but could I be considered part of, or, an additional generation that saw Israel re-born as a nation? [JB – if you visit can you share some information about this please?]

I know that we aren’t supposed to “set dates.” But we can recognize the “signs of the times” of Christ’s return based on so many of the prophecies that have already been fulfilled!

I DO know that there is nothing that needs to be fulfilled before the Rapture! I think Pastor Evans mentioned that in the “Morality Tipping Point” video!

No matter what, it is enlightening and important for believers to know about prophecy and discuss these things!

      Dear Ciria!

I owe a lot to you for making me aware of this “Tipping Points” series, so once again – thank you so much!

You may notice that another blog called “Christians Anonymous” reblogged this post.

If you go to that site, you may read something a bit odd under the title of their site name.

As an aggregate blog (this particular one means that they acquire writings from various blogs out there, reblog them, but do not allow any comments there) they claim the right to copy the entire post because it’s in the WordPress agreement. However, they do need to link back to Talk Wisdom blog as the originator of the post.

Under the blog name of “Christians Anonymous” the owner there wrote, “There is No God, Nor Human Soul; There will be No Eternal Life.” Isn’t that strange? I haven’t figured out whether they are being facetious (not meant to be taken seriously or literally:
a facetious remark?) or if they really believe that and put the writings of Christians there to mock our writings?!

Either way, my goal is to get the information that I share on this blog out to as many readers as possible, with the hope that these posts will help them in some small way.

These scriptures you shared really stood out to me regarding the rapture:
    Luke 21:31

“So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.

    Luk 21:32

“Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place.
