Christians in Need of Encouragement?

What true, Bible based, Jesus loving, born again Christian wasn’t disappointed in the Supreme Court ruling that changed the natural definition of marriage this past Friday?

I have spoken with several people.

Some were absolutely devastated!

Many where completely in shock!

Others, knowing what Bible prophecy tells us will happen the closer we get to the end times, were not really surprised.

Most of us were deeply saddened.

It is OK to grieve…for a time. After all, we grieve every Good Friday for what Jesus Christ had to (chose to!) do in order to save us all from our sins.

I must admit that one worship song called “Forever” that is so eloquently sung by Kari Jobe  puts this whole debacle into proper perspective.  Wait till you hear what the gentleman (who comes up to the microphone as Kari pauses in singing the song) has to say!  So AWESOME it gave me goose bumps!!!

Beautiful song!  Beautiful voice! Beautiful worship!

I have posted it here, but often YouTube doesn’t allow playback on certain blogs.

Therefore, I have also provided the link.

Kari Jobe: Forever – Live

The moon and stars they wept
The morning sun was dead
The Savior of the world was fallen
His body on the cross
His blood poured out for us
The weight of every curse upon him

One final breath he gave
As heaven looked away
The son of God was laid in darkness
A battle in the grave
The war on death was waged
The power of hell forever broken

The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
His perfect love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting?
Our resurrected King
Has rendered you defeated

Forever he is glorified
Forever he is lifted high
Forever he is risen
He is alive, He is alive!

The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
His perfect love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting?
Our resurrected King
Has rendered you defeated

Forever he is glorified
Forever he is lifted high
Forever he is risen
He is alive, He is alive!

We sing hallelujah
We sing hallelujah
We sing hallelujah
The Lamb has overcome

Forever he is glorified
Forever he is lifted high
Forever he is risen
He is alive, He is alive!

You have overcome
You have overcome
You have overcome
You have overcome

In addition, I wanted to share some resource links that I have come across through blogs I visit.

There are plenty of resources out there to help Christians cope with the devastatingly immoral decision that was pushed upon America through the 5-4 SCOTUS decision that made homosexual “marriage” suddenly legal in all 50 states. I have started compiling a list (below), and will most likely add to it as I come across other excellent blog posts. Any reader who has links to share about this topic, please post them in the comment section.

Video: Pastor Jobey McGinty of Life Mission Church: Does Jesus Satisfy You?: Gospel of Matthew: the King and His Kingdom, Ch. 14.13-33

Published on Jun 30, 2015

The Gospel of Matthew was written so that we would know our King, see what His Kingdom is about, and what we believers, the citizens of this Kingdom, are to be and to do as ambassadors of the King. We will be looking at the life, teachings, miracles, life, and death of Jesus Christ.

In this sermon, Jesus miraculously feeds 5,000 hungry followers, and then walks on water when His disciples are in peril on the sea. But what was His purpose in doing these things? To simply show His power? No, here in these stories, He aims to not just show that He can provide, but He shows that He Himself is the Provision.

Additionally, there are some opening remarks regarding the June 26, 2015 Supreme Court ruling on same-sex marriage.

If you ever truly want to be happy you need to let go of the past, live in the present and embrace the future because the only constant in life is change. So you just have to go with the flow.

Hello Adam and welcome to my blog.

Someone smarter than me once said:

“Those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it.”
      ― Edmund Burke

There are changes that are good, as well as changes that are bad. For example. I do not think that the majority of people (except radical Islamist terrorists) would want a repeat of Hitler’s Nazi Germany and the Holocaust where 6 million Jews were exterminated.

Are you familiar with the Bible? The “change” that you are probably referring to here (same-sex marriage?) is as old as the Old Testament. I can provide links and more information if you’d like me to.

God’s moral laws do not change. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Therefore, millions of Christians (and probably millions of other religious people) here in America do not care to “go with the flow” and follow secular humanistic sin and evil.

Many people do not like God’s moral law, so they make their own free will conscious choice to reject the moral sense of right and wrong that God has given us through our own individual knowledge of oneself and built in moral sense of conscience. In doing so, they also reject God Himself, His Living Word and Savior of the world – Jesus Christ, and His written word, the Bible. He is God and we are not. He gets to make the rules. Those who fight against them and reject them will pay the consequences throughout eternity.

Gravity is a physical law of nature put in place by God. People can reject this physical law, hate it, shake their fists at God and then jump off a high building in anger and protest against such a law. But the physical consequences of that action will destroy them.

The same is true of God’s moral law breakers. People choose to reject such moral laws, proceed to break the moral laws, hate the Creator of the moral laws, and shake their fists at God. The spiritual consequences of such rejection (without repenting before they die) will destroy them for all eternity.

Most people, when seeing a “jumper” at the top of a high building will do all that they can to “talk them down” from destroying themselves. Christians have the obligation to warn those actively pursuing immorality by speaking the truth in love and thus “talking them away” from un-repented sins that will destroy them spiritually.

The radical agenda of the LGBT movement utilizes lies in order to get their way. This terrible 5-4 Extreme Court homosexual “marriage” ruling wasn’t really the ultimate goal. But don’t take my word for it. Read the quotes of the radical homosexual activists yourself!

LGBT activists: Marriage was never the ‘end game’

Some admit they seek radical ‘transformation’ of society

My personal constant in my own life is our God and all that He has in store for me here on this earth (for as long as the Lord Jesus Christ tarries or I physically die) and then the promises of life eternal with Him in heaven. Earthly happiness is often fleeting, but the joy of the Lord is everlasting.

Enjoy your day and thanks for commenting.
