The bullying tactics and lawsuits that the radical homosexual agenda activists are using against the freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and freedom of association rights of Christian-owned businesses has an agenda list that includes goals like the following:

1.  Shut up about your homosexual “marriage” disagreements.

2.  We will paint you as “bigoted,”  “intolerant,” “homophobic” and “extremist terrorists;” thus purposely squelching your freedoms as they are listed in the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution so that they no longer apply.  Why?  Because we leftist bullies said so!

3.  We aim to replace your First Amendment rights with our “special” rights in order to end your religious beliefs and biblically based “bigotry” against our homosexual agenda.

4.  Furthermore, we will sue you into compliance, and then use the money we get to send more homosexual activists out to “catch” you in your bigotry, sue another Christian business owner, get a judge that sympathizes with our cause to rule in our favor, cause you to lose your business and maybe even your house…and even go so far as to cause you to lose everything!  Blather…rinse…repeat.

Well, the list could go on and on.  However, maybe Rush Limbaugh has the solution to counter all of this bullying by the leftist haters, anti-religion bigots, intolerant bullies and the gay Gestapo terrorists.

Bakers, florists, and photographers have all been attacked for standing firm on their faith.

Some have been fined, some have been sued, and some have been forced to close. All of this has been in the name of left-wing “tolerance.”

Many of these businesses are fighting back in the courts and legislatures from the bullies that are hell-bent on destroying both the businesses and personal lives of Christians.

But now, Rush Limbaugh has come up with a “politically correct”, “tolerant” solution to these attacks.  He explains:

[I ] pointed out the other day, well, then should we maybe stop flouting and flaunting gay marriage, because gay marriage is really disapproved in Islam.  Gay marriage, homosexual behavior is not tolerated, it is not permitted, and it is punished severely when it is caught, when it’s spied.  And yet in American media all over the place we are celebrating gay marriage, we are flaunting gay marriage, and I ask, does this not also offend Muslims?

Where do we draw the line, I asked poignantly, in what aspects of Islam we will respect and others we will ignore.  When it comes to pictures of the cartoon drawings of the prophet, we will absolutely obey the demands of militant Islam and we will not only refrain from drawing cartoons, we will condemn and seek to destroy anybody who does.  But MSNBC, CNN, TIME magazine, the New York Times can readily, happily promote gay marriage and gay rights all day long, and the Muslims are supposed [to] shut up about it?

[Therefore] I have an idea.  I know that many of you out there run businesses that if a gay couple, a married gay couple came in and asked for your service, you would deny it on the basis that you disapprove, your religion does not sanction the approval of gay marriage.

My idea for you is quite simple.  Don’t use that as the excuse anymore.  Let’s say that you own the ABC wedding cake bakery.  The only thing you do is you bake wedding cakes.  And as such, militant gay activists target your bakery.  They’re gonna take you out, they’re gonna take you down, they’re gonna walk in there, they’re gonna tell you they’re gonna get married, and of all the bakeries in the world, yours has been recommended to them because that’s all you do, therefore you must be better than anybody else at baking wedding cakes.

Instead of telling the gay couple that you refuse to bake the cake for their wedding because you disapprove of homosexuality, you should now say you are not going to bake a cake for the gay wedding because you fear Muslim backlash. Or, due to your respect of Islam, you cannot bake a cake for a gay wedding.  See how that flies.  Since the left is agreeing, a bunch of people on the left have gone on TV, “I hate to say this, you know, Limbaugh’s got a point. We do flaunt gay marriage at ’em, wow.  Wow.  That’s a good point.  I mean, we readily agree not to do the thing with the prophet and the pictures and the cartoons, but gay marriage, yeah, we’re kind of in their face on that.”

Well, just make a note.  Any of you small business owners who think you’re gonna get a visit from a gay couple asking you for your product or service at a gay wedding just say, “Nah, nah, nah, we refuse because of our respect of Islam.  We can’t.”  Don’t say anything about your religion.  Don’t say anything about it’s your religion that prevents you from doing it.  Say it’s Islam.  You respect Islam or you’re afraid of Muslim backlash. See how that flies.  It’s just an idea.  Hope it works.

This is brilliant!  Since Islam is now a “politically correct” religion in the Obama Administration and in the media, why not invoke respect for Islam as the reason for not providing special services to “same-sex” weddings since such events are horribly offensive to Muslims?

The writer of that comment wants to “make God’s law American Law that makes homosexuality a capital offense.” Well, THAT will never happen.

So, what is the answer to the current dilemma of religious rights vs. homosexual activists demands to comply with their sinful agenda?

Maybe, for now, it might be to use the “offense to Muslims” argument? What are your thoughts on this?

If the Supreme Court rules to grant same-sex marriage as the law of the land (similar to how the horrendous 1973 abortion decision to allow the killing of unborn babies in the womb came down), how are Bible-based Christians supposed to stand up for their faith, keep their businesses, and keep from being fined out of house and home (or, even jailed!)  when they refuse to comply?

I pray that the SC decision does come forth to protect traditional, biblically based marriage as the union of one man and one woman.

No matter what direction the decision turns out to be, the gay Gestapo will stop at NOTHING to get their way.

If it Weren’t for My TV, I Wouldn’t Know What is Real

There is a contemporary Christian singer named Brandon Heath who had a hit song back in 2011 entitled, “Leaving Eden.”. One phrase within the song says, “If it weren’t for my TV, I wouldn’t know what is real.”

This song came to mind when I read the following post:

I could not help but tear up so much when I read the account of President George W. Bush and his visit with one patient during the time he had visited several wounded warriors at Walter Reed military hospital near the White House.

So, why was I reminded of Brandon Heath’s lyric, “If it weren’t for my TV, I wouldn’t know what is real?”

Because of how the media of mass deception badly treated President George W. Bush over the 8 years of his presidency, vs. how they continue to prop up Obama – despite his disastrous actions and failures on just about everything he has done (and those important things he has NOT done) while being the supposed Commander-In-Chief over the past 6+ years.

When you read the entire article at the Fox News link, you will find that one mother raged against the President – asking why it wasn’t his son laying in that hospital bed instead of hers?

President Bush stood there and took it – like a man.

I ask you, has anyone ever heard of Obama placing himself in such a situation? Maybe he has and I haven’t heard about it. Somehow, I doubt it.

Everything seems to be staged for Obama, and the lap-dog media is often certain to be sure that only the “good” coverage comes out about him. However, when there are so many disastrous mistakes being made by this BADministration, why isn’t the media reporting them?

The alphabet soup stations and the two cable news stations that are in Marxist/Islamist-step with Obama certainly do not cover the egregious damage that this community organizer has done to America both at home and abroad! Only Fox News has the courage to report the truth.  But even that station refuses to report all of the truth.

People can find out much more of the truth of what is going on to ruin our once great nation through the programmed regressive actions (policies which are being touted as “progressive” which the far left has renamed from its Marxist/Commie/Islamo-Fascist roots of the past) of this entire BADministration both at home and abroad via conservative talk radio (Limbaugh, Hannity etc.) and online news sources.

Again, we see the irony of Brandon Heath’s lyric, “If it weren’t for my TV, I wouldn’t know what is real.” The media of mass deception shows the staged speeches of Obama in front of military members, but neglects to share the fact that according to the  Military Times: Mere 15 Percent of Troops Approve of Obama. If that had been a statistic for President Bush, I’m sure that the media would have reported on that statistic 24/7 and would have blasted Bush for it! But for “dear leader” Obama? No can do.

No U.S. President has ever been perfect, and none will. But the unfair disparaging of President Bush (with whom I have disagreed with on several occasions) was terribly inaccurate and unwarranted.  In drastic contrast, the propped up image of Obama continues by way of the TV media throughout his disastrous presidency.  This fact is egregiously unfair and devastating for our nation and the world!

We are now seeing the calamitous, distrustful, and ruinous liar Hillary Clinton being propped up for the next election; just like Obama has been over the years.  Don’t even get me started on her!

I just pray to God, through my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that Americans will see through the lies, the fog of deception and the reign of evil being hoisted upon us.  May they finally see through the liar-in-chief puppet, his puppeteers, and the minions that work for the Saul Alinsky, Agenda 21 programmed regressives who are in all actuality the Marxist/Socialist/Commie/Islamo-Fascists from the past failed “utopias” where the nefarious “elitists” lead all towards evil, sin and death.

During a recent search online, I discovered a website called Breaking Israel News. It is a site that covers the latest news from a biblical perspective.  Unfortunately, today’s headline on the front page shares the latest attack from Gaza upon the Jewish State of Israel and how the IAF Strikes Gaza Following Rocket Fire on Israel.

However, the first page that I read there had to do with an interesting article written back in March about “Four Blood Moons Movie”: The Winners and Losers.

Links within the post brought even more fascinating information!

There are many to read, but here are the ones I have read so far:

1. New Blood Moon Revelation Claims to Reveal Date of Biblical Exodus

Excerpt:

NASA has tracked the path of the solar eclipse of April 26, 1492, which began in the Pacific Ocean south of the equator and traveled northeast crossing the thin land bridge where, years later, the Panama Canal would be built. On the Jewish calendar, April 26, 1492 corresponds to the fifth day of Passover (20 Nissan), which the Bible states is two days before the Exodus from Egypt and the splitting of the sea.

After then clipping the very top of South America, the path of the 1492 solar eclipse headed southeast in the Atlantic Ocean very close to the shortest crossing point between South America and Africa.

“It is almost like it was a signpost being placed on earth for later generations to see, once the age of computers would arrive,” O’Dell explained to Breaking Israel News.

“God could have been saying to the world, that yes, you can expel the Jews from Spain, but I am going to open up the Americas so they would have a place of refuge until their ultimate homeland was ready to receive them.”

 

3. CUFI Denounces Journalist for Article Attacking Pastor John Hagee

As with anything else that a Christian Pastor presents as evidence of the God of the Bible, Pastor Hagee was attacked by a Huffington Post writer who apparently wrote an untruthful screed against Hagee; accusing him of anti-Semitism!

There are various opinions regarding the phenomenon known as the Four Blood Moons.  In a previous post, I shared some thoughts about the Four Blood Moons Documentary which was shown in theaters nationwide on two specific dates back in March and April, 2015.

I was curious to find out when the documentary would be released on DVD, and found my answer at the Four Blood Moons movie website. It will be available on June 23, 2015.

Do You Not Judge What is Right?

There are individuals and groups that believe, “if you love me (us), then you will accept me (us) just as I (we) am (are).”  In the emotional sense of the word “love,” this is possible.  We can love people, although they sin.  We can forgive the wrongs that are done against us, because through His Son, Jesus Christ, God forgives us. God has loved us although, “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

How do we gain forgiveness?

John the Baptist paved the way, and Jesus also told us what is needed.

John the Baptist:

Mat 3:1

In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea,

Mat 3:2

and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!”

Mat 3:3

For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying:

“The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
‘Prepare the way of the LORD;
Make His paths straight.’ ” [fn]

Jesus:

Mat 4:17

From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

What is genuine love?

Jhn 15:13

“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

The Bible tells us what it is not.

In the spiritual sense of the word (and I am referring to Christian spiritual sense of the word and the meaning of the agape love of God) accepting someone’s sinful acts in a permanent way and not telling them the truth about their need for repentance of those sins will destine them towards separation from God forever.

This reiterates the points in John 7 where Jesus stated:

Jhn 7:7

“The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil.

When we agree with Jesus on this statement, and point out the acts of evil that have been done since the moment that the knowledge of good and evil came to be, the world will hate us.

Jhn 15:18

“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.

Jhn 15:19

“If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

1Jo 3:13

Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you.

This is why, for example, those who point out sins like abortion or homosexuality are hated. Those who stay silent on such controversial issues or those who embrace such issues (e.g. leftist Christians) are not hated. They are called “loving,” “accepting,” “tolerant,” “unbiased;” whereas the Bible based Christians who take the words of Christ and the Scriptures seriously, are called the exact opposite!

So, we can see why Jesus gave us those warnings about being hated. Those who speak out against such sins and are not of the attitudes of this world (because the world would love its own) are hated.

Why?

Because the worldly people hated Him first.

Why?

Jhn 7:7

Thus, why would they not hate us as well?

My question.  Is it truly loving to not warn them about these facts?

There are many verses in the Bible describing the act of judging. Many leftists (even Christian leftists) hold onto the verses that state, “Do not judge.” But when you place those words into a search at Blue Letter Bible, you will find that this is not a blanket statement requiring Christians to never judge anything or anyone; but is in actuality an admonition to judge rightly!

Luk 12:57

“Yes, and why, even of yourselves, do you not judge what is right?

Think about it! If we never judged anything, wouldn’t this world be in total and absolute chaos? As it is, those who do not judge rightly do cause much chaos around the world.

There are also those who may think that they judge rightly, when in actuality, they could just be guilty of misconstruing the intent of what is really being shared.

Allow me share a recent example.

Let’s Just Say a Couple’s Memorial Day Wedding Photo Didn’t Sit Well With Some People…

If you read through the comments, there are people judging this photo and having differing opinions about it.  That is certainly their right to do that, but even the title of the post is incorrect!  In the first place, the photo was shared on social media by the photographer – not the couple!  There are those who may think this photo of the couple praying together before their vows (while also desiring to keep from seeing each other before walking down the aisle to share their vows before God, family, and friends – which is a tradition followed by many couples) is somehow “distasteful” because they got married over the Memorial Day weekend.  Please note that they did not get married on Monday, the actual date of Memorial Day!

Of course, people can have their own opinions.  They can make judgments and they have their right to free speech about it.

So…is this an example of “right judging”?

Some readers may view this as a minor thing – and they are correct!  Will the opinions and judgments of the 800+ commenters on this particular subject matter throughout all eternity?

Let’s get back to what will matter throughout all eternity.

Within a commentary from Matthew Henry, we read:

But a wise man’s heart discerns time and judgment; such was the wisdom of the men of Issachar, who had understanding of the times, 1 Chr. 12:32. He adds, “Yea, and why even of yourselves, though ye had not these loud alarms given you, judge ye not what is right? v. 57.

[Christianity] has reason and natural conscience on its side; and, if men would allow themselves the liberty of judging what is right, they would soon find that all Christ’s precepts concerning all things are right, and that there is nothing more equitable in itself, nor better becoming us, than to submit to them and be ruled by them.

II. Let them hasten to make their peace with God in time, before it be too late, v. 58, 59. This we had upon another occasion, Mt. 5:25, 26.

1. We reckon it our wisdom in our temporal affairs to compound with those with whom we cannot contend, to agree with our adversary upon the best terms we can, before the equity be foreclosed, and we be left to the rigour of the law: “When thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, to whom the appeal is made, and knowest that he has an advantage against thee, and thou art in danger of being cast, thou knowest it is the most prudent course to make the matter up between yourselves; as thou art in the way, give diligence to be delivered from him, to get a discharge, lest judgment be given, and execution awarded according to law.’ Wise men will not let their quarrels go to an extremity, but accommodate them in time.

2. Let us do thus in the affairs of our souls. We have by sin made God our adversary, have provoked his displeasure against us, and he has both right and might on his side; so that it is to no purpose to think of carrying on the controversy with him either at bar or in battle. Christ, to whom all judgment is committed, is the magistrate before whom we are hastening to appear: if we stand a trial before him, and insist upon our own justification, the cause will certainly go against us, the Judge will deliver us to the officer, the ministers of his justice, and we shall be cast into the prison of hell, and the debt will be exacted to the utmost; though we cannot make a full satisfaction for it, it will be continually demanded, till the last mite be paid, which will not be to all eternity.

Christ’s sufferings were short, yet the value of them made them fully satisfactory. In the sufferings of damned sinners what is wanting in value must be made up in an endless duration. Now, in consideration of this, let us give diligence to be delivered out of the hands of God as an adversary, into his hands as a Father, and this as we are in the way, which has the chief stress laid upon it here.

While we are alive, we are in the way; and now is our time, by repentance and faith through Christ (who is the Mediator as well as the magistrate), to get the quarrel made up, while it may be done, before it be too late.

Thus was God in Christ reconciling the world to himself, beseeching us to be reconciled. Let us take hold on the arm of the Lord stretched out in this gracious offer, that we may make peace, and we shall make peace (Isa. 27:4, 5), for we cannot walk together till we be agreed.

Instead, He told us to obey, and then gave us at least ten commands. If we love each other — Biblical love — then we will do everything we can to help each other keep those commands, not make it easier to break them. After all, how can we claim to love someone if we are in the process of making their path to hell easier to travel?”

Brought From Death to Life

While reading a devotional segment from the May issue of Impact Magazine, I read a couplet that contained am unfamiliar word.

There is a little couplet which I like so much, but it contains a good word–forgotten by many today–the word “mien” (pronounced “mean”).  It means “countenance” or appearance.  Read the couplet:

 

Vice is a monster of such horrible mien, that to be hated it needs but to be seen.  But seen too oft, grown familiar with its face, first we endure, then we embrace.

 

In my humble opinion, I think that this is exactly what happened in the minds of those who were fighting for legalizing the horrible killing of babies in the womb back in 1973, as well as in the minds of the decision makers when abortion became legalized by the Supreme Court.  Today, a second tragic Supreme Court decision may be coming down the pike…the one that will be made at the end of June regarding the unfettered recognition of same-sex marriage.

In both cases, what was once deemed as vice, became familiar.  Next, we first endured the consequences of such decisions.  Then, it was embraced by secular society so as to label those who disagree and want to follow Christ and God’s Word  as “bigots,” “homophobes,” and “haters.”

The devotional goes on to say that “familiarity with the face of the monster of vice” is prevalent in our society.  We see it raise its ugly head on most talk shows and within the new “modern family” types of TV series that embrace as “good” that which used to be considered sinful and evil.

What was once considered “sin” is now re-labeled as “happiness.”

One of the great deceiver’s best ploys placed upon the human race is the successful lie he uses upon our consciences that, “we will find happiness and fulfillment through sin and by disregarding the commandments and precepts of God.”  Letting ourselves go in order to follow sinful passions and getting us to ignore Christ and His Word is Satan’s most successful lie.  The devil would have us believe that joy comes through sin.

However, God’s Word tells us that there is happiness in holiness and it is through the submission to the will of Christ that man will find his true joy and fulfillment.  Notice how these two choices are totally and completely opposite propositions!  One is truth, the other, a lie.

Even though the unredeemed of the world would like us to join in with the lies of Satan, Christians are not supposed to seek such familiarity.  Instead, we should turn away from our old vices, our old habits, and our old sinful natures.

And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. – Romans 6:13

Here is just a portion of it:

13. Neither yield ye your members instruments of unrighteousness unto Sin, but yield yourselves–this is the great surrender.
unto God as those that are alive from the dead, and–as the fruit of this.
your members–till now prostituted to sin.
instruments of righteousness unto God–But what if indwelling sin should prove too strong for us? The reply is: But it will not.

14. For Sin shall not have dominion over you–as the slaves of a tyrant lord.
for ye are not under the law, but under grace–The force of this glorious assurance can only be felt by observing the grounds on which it rests. To be “under the law” is, first, to be under its claim to entire obedience; and so, next under its curse for the breach of these. And as all power to obey can reach the sinner only through Grace, of which the law knows nothing, it follows that to be “under the law” is, finally, to be shut up under an inability to keep it, and consequently to be the helpless slave of sin. On the other hand, to be “under grace,” is to be under the glorious canopy and saving effects of that “grace which reigns through righteousness unto eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (see on JF & B for Ro 5:20, 21). The curse of the law has been completely lifted from off them; they are made “the righteousness of God in Him”; and they are “alive unto God through Jesus Christ.” So that, as when they were “under the law,” Sin could not but have dominion over them, so now that they are “under grace,” Sin cannot but be subdued under them. If before, Sin resistlessly triumphed, Grace will now be more than conqueror.

The diminishing of our old nature is called mortification. The growing of our new nature is called vivification. Put the two together (mortification and vivification) and you get sanctification –one of the great glorious doctrines of the Christians faith.

Christians realize that the process of sanctification is a lifetime venture. We have never “arrived” because it is not perfected in this life. It is in eternity with Christ where the final traces or evidence of sin are removed and we are declared perfect.

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! [fn] Therefore the world does not know us, [fn] because it did not know Him.

Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

Jesus – Our Forever Cornerstone, the Bible – Our Forever Guide

Recently, there was a report out that made the claim that Christians are abandoning their churches.  While this might be true regarding certain denominations, we still have the promises of God intact; no matter what is going on here in America and around the world.  In fact, Christians who have studied end times prophecy and are able to recognize the signs of the times (as Jesus told us it would be – as in the days of Noah and as in the days of Lot) are not surprised by all that is being done to undermine the church (the context here is not meant to be a building or certain denomination, but meant as all followers) of Jesus Christ!

This morning I found a blog that has a very encouraging post! Romans 122life: 4 Reasons I Have Immense Hope for American Christianity.

The entire essay is great, but I loved this portion:

God’s Will Cannot be Thwarted:

God has promised to build His church. We see this in Matthew 16 when Jesus says, “And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” No matter what our government may try to do, even it is under God’s authority. Christianity is still spreading in places like China and North Korea. While our culture and government may try to change the church, the true church will survive and thrive. Denominations may die. Church attendance may drop, but the true church will go on and grow. It cannot be stopped. Now that is hope.

Wow! I’m so glad that I found your blog and read this uplifting, truth-filled and genuinely hope-filled post! With all the recent rancor about Christianity being demoralized, criticized, and accused of bigotry and hatred; it is important to understand that Jesus warned us of such things happening at an even greater pace the closer we get to the end times.

Churches are led by pastors, and pastors can sometimes be led astray for various reasons. That is why we must always be on guard to recognize heresy or apostasy creeping into certain denominations. We are to remain in the true gospel of Jesus Christ and continue to follow what is written in the Bible. Jesus is our forever Cornerstone, and God’s Word is our forever Guide unto all truth – no matter what this fallen world (which includes aberrant churches and/or groups) tries to throw at us in order to lead us away through sin, error, immorality, false gods or any other type of evil that ultimately brings spiritual death.

What God has Joined Together, Let Man Not Separate

The upcoming Supreme Court case on homosexual “marriage” will most likely come down to the usual 5-4 decision.  That leaves the entire case most likely in the hands of Justice Anthony Kennedy – who is the usual “swing” vote on the court.

Recently, I read a comment at another blog that Kennedy has a lesbian sister.  Uh Oh…will his personal relationship with his sister convince him to vote with the liberals?  Possibly.

However, Kennedy did receive an amicus brief from a now grown, adult child of lesbian parents.  In fact, five other adult children of homosexual parents are now willing to stand up and submit amicus briefs on the issue of same-sex marriage, opposing its legalization by the Supreme Court.

In the above linked article, Meg writes that growing up with same-sex parents causes the children to be raised in brokenness. “Something precious and irreplaceable has been taken from us. Two loving moms, or two dads, can never replace the lost parent.”

Of course, this is not what the homosexual activists want to hear because it hurts their claims. The “all is well” myth of homosexual parenting has many dissenters.

Excerpt from the article:

 Love matters, but accepting and promoting same-sex parenting promotes the destruction of families, not the building of families.”

The myth that “love makes a family” is driving modern social policy, and it is a critical argument in the case being made to legalize same-sex marriage across the states. As the U.S. Supreme Court prepares to announce its decision in June, there are the voices we hope they have not overlooked—the voices of the children raised by same-sex couples. If they have listened well to their voices, this might just be what tips the balance.

As one columnist observed, “Just when it seemed that a Supreme Court victory for gay marriage had no obstacles in sight, the issue of gay parenting has been reopened for serious questioning. The interrogators are no longer preachers, social scientists, or gay rights advocates, but children of gay couples themselves.”

Katy Faust, who was raised by her mother and her lesbian “partner,” has written an open letter directly to Justice Anthony Kennedy on behalf of children raised by homosexual parents, or “COGs” (Children Of Gays) as they are sometimes referred to. Her article in ThePublicDiscourse.com has received national attention. Faust says, “I am one of many children of gay parents who believe we should protect marriage.”

In making the case that redefining marriage would actually strip these children of their most fundamental rights, Faust affirms her love for her mother and her partner, but she argues that the debate over same-sex marriage “at its core, is about one thing. It’s about children.”

She rightly states: “The definition of marriage should have nothing to do with lessening emotional suffering within the homosexual community…. The Supreme Court has no business involving itself in romance or interpersonal relationships.” In the end, Faust notes:

…[T]he government’s interest in marriage is about the children that only male-female relationships can produce. Redefining marriage redefines parenthood. It moves us well beyond our “live and let live” philosophy into the land where our society promotes a family structure where children will always suffer loss. It will be our policy, stamped and sealed by the most powerful of governmental institutions, that these children will have their right to be known and loved by their mother and/or father stripped from them in every instance. In same-sex-headed households, the desires of the adults trump the rights of the child.

Talk to any child with gay parents, especially those old enough to reflect on their experiences. If you ask a child raised by a lesbian couple if they love their two moms, you’ll probably get a resounding “yes!” Ask about their father, and you are in for either painful silence, a confession of gut-wrenching longing, or the recognition that they have a father that they wish they could see more often. The one thing that you will not hear is indifference.

What is your experience with children who have divorced parents, or are the offspring of third-party reproduction, or the victims of abandonment? Do they not care about their missing parent? Do those children claim to have never had a sleepless night wondering why their parents left, what they look like, or if they love their child? Of course not. We are made to know, and be known by, both of our parents. When one is absent, that absence leaves a lifelong gaping wound.

The opposition will clamor on about studies where the researchers concluded that children in same-sex households allegedly fared “even better!” than those from intact biological homes. Leave aside the methodological problems with such studies and just think for a moment.

If it is undisputed social science that children suffer greatly when they are abandoned by their biological parents, when their parents divorce, when one parent dies, or when they are donor-conceived, then how can it be possible that they are miraculously turning out “even better!” when raised in same-sex-headed households? Every child raised by “two moms” or “two dads” came to that household via one of those four traumatic methods. Does being raised under the rainbow miraculously wipe away all the negative effects and pain surrounding the loss and daily deprivation of one or both parents?

The more likely explanation is that researchers are feeling the same pressure as the rest of us feel to prove that they love their gay friends.

 

Within the above letter to Justice Kennedy, Katy Faust asks a very important question:

 

Have we really arrived at a time when we are considering institutionalizing the stripping of a child’s natural right to a mother and a father in order to validate the emotions of adults?

When government and even society fails to extend tolerance to people of faith, we are headed down a perilous path.

A former congressman from Virginia is asking the question: Prison Next Step for American Christians?

Excerpt:

Former Congressman Frank Wolf warned that Americans’ freedom of conscience is under attack and it’s mainly Christians with conservative values who are in the crosshairs of the new champions of political correctness.

 

Wolf, 76, said Christians may have to resort to civil disobedience because their views are increasingly considered “intolerant.”

“When tolerance is demanded, when orthodox Christianity is deemed intolerant and when government and even society fails to extend tolerance to people of faith, we are headed down a perilous path,” said the former 17-term congressman from Virginia.

Wolf was a champion for religious freedom throughout his time in Congress. Since his retirement in January, he has become a senior fellow at the 21st Century Wilberforce Initiative, which advocates for religious freedom worldwide.

Wolf delivered the May 7 speech at an event hosted by the Petrie-Flom Center and the Ambassador John L. Loeb Jr. Initiative on Religious Freedom and its Implications at Harvard’s Center for American Political Studies.

His address was titled “After Hobby Lobby: What is Caesar’s and What is God’s?” at the center’s 2015 Annual Conference, “Law, Religion, and Health in America.”

The Christian Post reported that Wolf’s main point was that freedom of conscience has long been understood as important for religious freedom, but recently there has been a trend of violating the conscience protections of conservative Christians, particularly over the issues of abortion and marriage.

“Our conscience is not ultimately allegiant to the state, but to something, and for many people, Someone, higher,” Wolf said, citing a resolution adopted by the Continental Congress to protect the conscience rights of pacifists. This is important “because if our conscience belongs to the state, the state can choose to violate it or compromise it at will.”

He referenced a “subtle but insidious trend” in which the government is expanding into areas more likely to infringe upon conscience rights.

This trend was “at the heart” of the recent Supreme Court case involving Hobby Lobby, a Christian-owned craft supply chain, and the Obama administration’s birth control mandate, according to the Christian Post article. While the owners of Hobby Lobby, the Green family, are pro-life, the Obama administration sought to require them to pay for health insurance coverage for contraceptive pills that could cause an abortion.

“We are witnessing the imposition of a new state religion” called “progressive liberalism,” Wolf said.

Telling the Truth in a World of Lies is a Revolutionary Act

 

Are any readers here feeling the same pain that I have been feeling over the past 6+ years?  Particularly, the pain, suffering and hatred swirling all around us because of being LIED TO by politicians in government on a regular basis?  It has gotten so far out of control it’s totally mind-boggling!  These days, when there is VIDEO PROOF of someone lying on a certain subject, it seems that some people just shrug their shoulders and don’t really care to know the truth.  Such a sad state of affairs!

Well, this is the type of post that may get me reamed with all sorts of negative adjectives.  But when the truth is given with evidence, then why accuse the messenger?

I will remind readers that when I’m not 100% sure of the truth of a matter, I  include the phrase, “Talk Wisdom Reports – You Decide” at the beginning of the post.   However, the first link below contains video proof of a politician lying about a previous statement that he had made.  The rest of this post contains more information on the overall subject matter, including some possible reasons why this particular politician was caught in this lie.

My questions. 

Why would this governor need to lie about his previous statement? 

What would be wrong with him simply admitting to the FACT that he had made the statement? 

He said,  “The Lt. Governor and I have been…(pause)…spoken to in an attempt that we might be prepared for something like this playing itself out in our state.”

When Halbig asks the question “who told him” that “the Lt. Governor and he have been “spoken to” in an attempt that we might be prepared for something like this (Sandy Hook)  playing itself out in our state” the governor’s face obviously drops and he claimed that “he never said that.”  He even went so far as to say, “must have been another Dannel Malloy!”  Can you believe THAT?

Again, Talk Wisdom Reports – You Decide.

The main reason why I write, “Talk Wisdom Reports – You Decide” on certain posts is because of media lies, deceitfulness, and the evil and corruption of many in government. In simple terms, it is often very difficult these days to discern truth from error.

I realize that there may be many people who come here and read this and will end up thinking that I’m just one of those “crazy conspiracy theorists.”  Well, here’s my answer about that:

It sickens me, scares me, and reviles me to think that anything this horrible could possibly be done by either our government, its secretive “handlers,” or whomever the perpetrators are.

I had a good “gun control” debate with a very good friend of mine last night during dinner. She is a grandmother of 4 children. She seems “all for” more gun control until I explained to her what that would really mean about our liberty, freedoms, and security AGAINST any tyrannical government (like the one we have now!) to have our Second Amendment rights infringed upon.

I shared with her how both the Colorado theater massacre and Sandy Hook elementary massacre were both “gun free” zones – and why lives COULD have been saved if a guard at the theater had a gun to shoot the murderer, or if the school principal had a gun locked in a safe in her office; and upon hearing the shooting happening could have retrieved the gun and killed the shooter dead before more children were killed.

I told her about my last post – regarding just why there is so much media coverage about gun control, yet no questions being asked about mental health issues and psychotropic/psychiatric drugs and their side effects. It was then that “the light bulb” apparently went off in her mind. As a former nurse, she KNOWS of the dangers of such drugs; as well as the dangers of individuals who “go off” their medications and end up doing horrible things.

I don’t know all of the answers here. I am just trying to get people to THINK and then decide for themselves what is real and the truth, vs. what is propaganda and evil motives.

I want people who visit here to know that I’m not interested in spreading falsehoods. The Bible is very clear about lying – and that God’s judgment against lying is very harsh! Just read about the self-deception of Saul in 1 Samuel 15:1-35. Lying destroys integrity. Dishonest people soon begin to believe the lies they construct around themselves. Then they lose the ability to tell the difference between truth and lies. By believing your own lies you deceive yourself, you alienate yourself from God, and you lose credibility in all your relationships. In the long run, honesty wins out.

Recently, while sharing a disagreement with my best friend (we have known each other for over 20 years!) that I had with another person (and being told by that person that I was lying), she said to me, “Chris, you don’t lie like that.” It felt so good to hear someone tell me that she believes in my integrity! However, there are people who probably visit here, read what I write about BHO and his BADministration and think I’m a liar, crazy, or both!

When I am caught in something that turns out to be untrue, I always try to amend it. For example, during the election, there was a blog that reported that thousands of military ballots were destroyed rather than counted. GMPilot – (Talk Wisdom’s usual nemesis) pointed out to me later that the blog was satire. I went back and made the correction.

The main reason why I write, “Talk Wisdom Reports – You Decide” on certain posts is because of media lies, deceitfulness, and the evil and corruption of many in government. In simple terms, it is often very difficult these days to discern truth from error.

You see, I don’t WANT to outwardly and purposefully lie because God’s Word instructs us:

“So put away all falsehood and “tell your neighbor the truth” because we belong to each other.” (Ephesians 4:25)

Of course, I make mistakes and have made many bad ones over the course of my life, but when I was born again in Christ my new life in Him changed me. I know that lying undermines freedom and undermines the unity of believers in Christ. It creates conflict and destroys trust. It tears down relationships and leads to open warfare. We should put away such “lying ways” once we accept Christ’s gift of salvation.

I know that I must consciously renew such a commitment every day. I must have a new role, head in a better direction and have a new way of thinking that the Holy Spirit gives me.

When I see lying going on in others – especially in government – it really hurts. Such lying often leads to injustice; and those who may think they can trust and benefit from government aren’t always protected from evil consequences.

I have seen obedience to God provoke anger and hatred from others. It’s running rampant these days! But Matthew 10:28 informs us that it is better to suffer from human displeasure than from God’s wrath.

I see ridicule against me for being honest as being a possible sign that I am indeed doing what’s right in God’s eyes (see Matthew 5:10-12; Romans 8:17, 35-39). I certainly hope so. I want Him to use me – not the other way around.

My guide is not to go against Scripture, Jesus’ words, or the guidance of the Holy Spirit. When I make errors and mistakes (as we all do because we are all human), I admit it, confess, repent, and strive to not do it again in the future.

Last night, Conservative radio talk show host Roger Hedgecock mentioned that when the colonists desired to break away from the king of England, only a small portion supported it – at first. Those colonist leaders KNEW that something better could be created here in America; as long as they were willing to fight for such freedoms and do so under God’s Divine Providence.

Today, we don’t see or hear much about that anymore. We have a “law” professor who thinks it’s a better idea to scrap the genius of the Constitution because it was written by “men with old-fashioned and different thinking over 225 years ago.” Because this individual is reprobate, he doesn’t see the genius of these men who were far better thinkers at that time than he is now!

Oops…sorry…I’m getting off topic.

One last thought. Our nation is in such peril that it will take only an act of God to keep our Republic alive, well, and intact. I continue to pray each day for His abiding mercy, grace, and love to continue to bless this nation – even when our atrocious sinfulness doesn’t deserve it.
