Three Topics Today

April 30, 2015

During these tumultuous times, rarely does a day go by where a blogger like myself can’t find several (if not dozens!) of important topics to cover.

Today, I will share three topics.

First, is the importance of maintaining the biblical definition of marriage and why it matters concerning religious liberty here in the United States of America.

Second, I will mention two blog posts that reveal some things you may not hear about on the MSM regarding the Freddie Gray/Baltimore riots debacle and may even destroy the narrative that is causing the riots.

First topic.

The Supreme Court hearings on homosexual “marriage” is a serious one. That has been covered by several bloggers listed below.

Kingjester’s blog: Faith-Based Institutions Will Be Affected By Possible Favorable Gay Marriage Ruling

Excerpt:

Today’s American Liberals, from Barack Hussein Obama on down to the Internet Troll, sitting at his computer in his Mom’s Basement, munching Cheetos, want Christians, like myself, to “change” our view on homosexuality, in order to proclaim Adam and Steve as husband and…err…husband.

What they do not understand, nor wish to, is the fact that man did not label it as deviant behavior and a “sin”.

GOD DID.

His Word, as revealed in the Old and New Testaments, with the Holy Bible, states that fact, over and over again.

Christianity is not something that can be boxed in, from 9 a.m. to 12 Noon on Sundays, as the President and the rest of the Gay Mafia seem to want it to be.

Nor can it be changed and modified to fit a culture which is currently embracing relative morality and situational ethics.

God’s Word, as is its Author, is eternal and unchanging.

The Supreme Court Justices must understand that, by undermining the Faith of Our Fathers, they are undermining the Solid Rock from which sprang forth the principles upon which our country was founded.

The future of America is in their hands.

“Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness – these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. … And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion.” – President George Washington’s First Inaugural Address,  April 30, 1789

Albert Mohler: “It is Going to Be an Issue” — Supreme Court Argument on Same-Sex Marriage Puts Religious Liberty in the Crosshairs.

Excerpt:

Back in 2005, long before the movement to legalize same-sex marriage had gained cultural momentum, the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty held a forum on the question of gay marriage and religious freedom. The forum included major legal theorists on both sides of the marriage issue. What united most of the legal experts was the consensus that same-sex marriage would present a clear and present danger to the rights of those who would oppose gay marriage on religious grounds.

Marc D. Stern, then representing the American Jewish Congress, put the matter directly:

“The legalization of same-sex marriage would represent the triumph of an egalitarian-based ethic over a faith-based one, and not just legally. The remaining question is whether champions of tolerance are prepared to tolerate proponents of a different ethical vision. I think the answer will be no.”

That was a prophetic statement, as we can now see. Stern continued:

“Within certain defined areas, opponents of gay rights will be unaffected by an embrace of same-sex marriage. But in others, the impact will be substantial. I am not optimistic that, under current law, much can be done to ameliorate the impact on religious dissenters.”

Keep that in mind as you consider the oral arguments in Obergefell v. Hodges, the same-sex marriage case that sets the stage for the legalization of same-sex marriage in all fifty states — and sets the stage for what may well be, in the United States, the greatest threat to religious liberty of our lifetime.

Read the rest Here.

At one of my former blogs [Protect Biblical Marriage*] I wrote about the dangers of the radical homosexual agenda going too far and how the true aim of such activists is two fold. First, to destroy biblical beliefs on sexual morality and secondly, destroy the 2,000 year old definition of marriage as the union of one man and one woman.

Second topic.

Next, we have the Freddie Gray/Baltimore riots debacle.   Fox News has reported that another person arrested with Gray claims that Gray was “banging his head against the walls” of the police van.

The following bloggers are sharing important information:

I could list dozens more topics and articles; including the latest Clinton Foundation illegal schemes and scams.   But, because I am sick of hearing about Hillary – who would be 0bama 2.0 if  (God forbid!) she was elected in 2016 – and because I don’t want to get into all of the criminality surrounding the Clintons (would take days!), I have decided to leave all of that to other bloggers.

Third topic.
Lastly, today I wanted to draw readers attention to an Israeli news service called “Israel Now News.”  The show is on the Daystar Network, and is a weekly broadcast, in English, of news from the nation of Israel’s perspective.
Description:
Israel Now News is a creative and innovative weekly TV news magazine presenting a unique perspective of Israel’s current events, politics, and culture to an English speaking audience. Israel Now News consists of a dynamic format offering its viewers an exciting educational experience unparalleled by any other news source.
After doing a search (hoping that I might be able to link to a particular segment)  I discovered that about 175 episodes are on YouTube.  The April 14, 2015 broadcast was particularly interesting, not only because of the excellent news coverage (and proper criticism of the bad Iran deal)  but also for one instance of comic relief (surprisingly included on this mostly serious broadcast) that was found regarding a segment that included 0bama.

If the video doesn’t work here, go to YouTube: Israel Now News – Episode 177

[The segment that I am referring to within the broadcast starts at about 3:39.]

Although the topic in the segment is a very serious one (regarding “Russia threatening Israel after selling arms to Iran”) the portion where 0bama comes into the picture…well…you will just have to see the segment for yourself!

~  Christine

P.S.  Showed the segment to my husband yesterday and he had a great comment about it.  Will share that later.

Hat tips to all links.

Warning Signs: Israel Will Attack Iran Soon

April 29, 2015

While checking out some of the headlines from my former blog’s links, I found an important article written by Alan Caruba at his blog Warning Signs. Found the article via Noisy Room.

I have thought for some time now that Israel will eventually be the nation that will need to take out the nuclear reactors in Iran. Our current resident at the White House (and his boss – Valerie Jarrett) will need to “save face” and claim that a deal (no matter how awful it will probably be!) has been made with the taqiyya Mullahs of that Islamic terrorist regime; leaving the entire world vulnerable to the Islamist fanatics!

When I read Alan’s name, it sounded familiar to me. Years ago, I think that he may have been a friend on Facebook. Since I don’t venture into that social media realm anymore, I’m glad that I found his blog!

The title of the post is Israel Will Attack Iran Soon.

Alan encourages sharing his posts so here is the article in its entirety:

Israel Will Attack Iran Soon

by Alan Caruba

The Israelis will destroy several Iranian nuclear facilities and my educated guess is that they will do so before the end of this year.

Israel has no margin of error when it comes to nuclear reactors in nations that threaten its existence. While President Obama does everything in his power to enable Iran to create its own nuclear weapons, it is a good idea to recall that in June 1981 the Israelis destroyed a reactor in Iraq. It was the first air strike against such a facility. In September 2007, the Israelis destroyed a Syrian reactor. There was no reprisal in either case.

From Wednesday, April 22 to Friday April 24 the Israelis struck Hizbollah and Syrian military targets in the Walamoun Mountains on the Syrian-Lebanese border. The calculations were that the location, a site for long-range missiles, would be safer from the Israelis. They were wrong.

In September 2014, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the United Nations General Assembly warning “don’t be fooled by Iran’s manipulative charm offensive. It’s designed for one purpose and for one purpose only. To lift the sanctions and remove the obstacles to Iran’s path to the bomb.”

“Once Iran produces atomic bombs, all the charm and all the smiles will suddenly disappear. They’ll just vanish. It’s then that the ayatollahs will show their true face and unleash their aggressive fanaticism on the entire world.” He offered a comparable message to a joint meeting of Congress in March of this year.

Is anyone listening? Not President Obama. On April 25, writing in The Wall Street Journal, Mortimer Zuckerman, the chairman and editor in chief of the U.S. News and World Report, said “President Obama has been chasing a rainbow in his negotiations with Iran. He has forsaken decades of pledges to the civilized world from presidents of both parties. He has misled the American people in repeatedly affirming that the U.S. would never allow revolutionary Iran to acquire nuclear weapons.”

It’s bad enough when you can’t trust your nation’s enemies, but when you cannot trust your own President you have a very big problem because Iran is not just a threat to America and Israel, but to the entire world.

Obama’s anti-Semitism is obvious to anyone paying the least attention. He particularly loathes Israel. In early April the White House let its unhappiness be known that Netanyahu had, in its words, failed to tone down “hostile and aggressive language” of the Passover religious service. What were those words? “Next year in Jerusalem.”

This is an ancient Jewish prayer that sustained generations of Jews over the course of two millennia, expressing their hope to return to their homeland. To the White House, however, it was “affront to the Palestinians, not to mention a slap in the face to President Obama himself who has worked tirelessly for peace despite Israeli intransigence.” The Jews returned to Israel, declared its independence in 1948, and have had the support of every President since…until Obama.

The Israelis know this. Since their independence the Israelis have fought seven recognized wars, two Palestinian intifadas, and a series of armed conflicts in the broader Arab-Israeli conflict. Most recently they put down Hamas in the Gaza once again for its repeated rocketing.

Despite or because of this, the Israelis have sought to demonstrate good will toward their Arab neighbors. There is an untold story of the December 2014 meeting of six Gulf Cooperation Council rulers in the Qatari capital of Doha to discuss steps to respond to challenges that include Iranian aggression and clamping down on the Muslim Brotherhood.

Sources close to event report that Netanyahu has achieved close coordination with the most important Arab leaders that include Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Other members of the Council include Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates.

The Israelis have no choice, nor do I anticipate that Iran will do much, if anything, to respond in the wake of the ashes of those facilities. No other nation will come to their aid.

© Alan Caruba, 2015

*******

I think he is correct!

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has won re-election; precisely because the Israelis know that they will need a strong leader to prevent Iran from EVER acquiring a nuclear weapon.  If the diabolical and fanatical Iranians ever did create a nuclear weapon, (God forbid!) they would not hesitate to immediately use it to  attack Israel!

0bama won’t prevent it.

Jarrett – his Iranian born “advisor” certainly won’t tell her puppet Barry to prevent it.

Therefore, if Jesus tarries, it will take a brave human leader like Netanyahu in Israel to not only save Israel and the United States of America from the Iranian fanatics (who would not hesitate to use a nuclear weapon against either one of our countries!);  but will also end up helping to save the entire world from the radical Islamic Caliphate-wannabes in Iran from getting the nuclear bomb!

So Great is His Love for Those Who Fear Him

April 27, 2015

This is one of the most loved Bible verses from the Old Testament.  I see it all the time on the blogs of Christian writers.

Skeptics might view that verse in a totally different way from how believers in Christ see it.  They may think, “why would anyone think that the God of the Bible is a God of love because we are to “fear” Him?”  It is a good question, actually, and one that I will attempt to answer in this post.

When you look up the term “fear” as it is used in Psalm 103:11, we learn that the root Hebrew word [yare’]means both “to frighten – affright, be (make) afraid, dread” as well as “fear (be had) in reverence.”

When we look up the term “reverence” in the dictionary and view the word origin and history, we find:

Word Origin and History for rev-er-ence

n.

late 13c., from Old French reverence “respect, awe,” from Latin reverentia “awe, respect,” from revereri “to stand in awe of, respect, honor, fear, be afraid of; revere,” from re-, intensive prefix (see re- ), + vereri “stand in awe of, fear,” from PIE *wer- “to be or become aware of, perceive, watch out for” (cf. Old English wær “aware, cautious;” see wary ).
v.

late 14c., “treat with respect, honor; venerate, pay pious homage to; esteem, value; bow to (someone); do honor to,” from reverence (n.). Related: Reverenced ; reverencing.

Online Etymology Dictionary, © 2010 Douglas Harper

When Adam and Eve sinned, they hid (or, at least tried to hide) themselves from God because they now feared Him (the “frightened,” “dreaded” kind of fear).

Prior to The Fall, the relationship between God and the first man and woman was one of “treat with respect, honor; venerate, pay pious homage to; esteem, value; bow to (someone); do honor to,” from reverence.”

Today, we have the free-will choice to either remain “afraid of God,” or to “treat [Him] with respect, honor; venerate, pay pious homage to; esteem, value; bow to (someone); do honor to,” from reverence.”

God the Father sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be the bridge between sinful man and Holy God.

On the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came down from heaven and proceeded to indwell the apostles.

Recall that most of them ran away (except John, Mary M. and Mary the mother of Jesus)  out of fear for their earthly lives  when Christ was crucified!  Thomas doubted that Christ had been risen and wanted proof by seeing Him, and putting his fingers into the nail scars on Jesus’ hands and at his side.

So what changed them so drastically that they feared no more and steadfastly spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to 3,000 in one day?

Answer:  The indwelling power of the Holy Spirit – promised by Jesus Christ!

Read the account about the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2.

Dreaded fear became the more positive reverent fear in the name of Jesus Christ!

And this happens to this very day when we repent of our sins and accept Christ as Lord and Savior in our lives; thus inviting Him into our hearts through the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit!

Where do YOU stand with God?

In Christ’s service,

Christine

What does it take to begin a relationship with God? Devote yourself to unselfish religious deeds? Become a better person so that God will accept you?

You may be surprised that none of those things will work. But God has made it very clear in the Bible how we can know Him.

The following principles will explain how you can personally begin a relationship with God, right now, through Jesus Christ…

Christians Displayed as Domestic Terrorists if We Take the Bible too Seriously?

April 25, 2015

I often wonder why 0zero never chooses to call the mass killings of Christians that are  happening in the Middle East and North Africa what they are – Christian massacres.

I read somewhere online that people were alarmed because on the 100th anniversary of the slaughter,  0zero said nothing to show sympathy for, or commemorate the Armenian Genocide of Christians in 1915.

Why is that?

Maybe I missed it?

It was quite disturbing to see 0zero use the annual Prayer Breakfast to criticize Christians of today for the Crusades which happened almost 1,000 years ago… yet neglected to tell the truth that it was the Muslim conquests and slaughter of Christians and Catholics that led them to defend themselves at that time in history!

I have some questions.

Why does radical Islamic terrorism, and their murderous, raping of women, stoning and hanging of homosexuals, kidnapping of girls to be used as sex slaves and all the other atrocious ways of mayhem get a pass (e.g. refuses to label them “Islamic”); yet 0zero and his badministration continue to put down, criticize, show hatred towards and berate Christians?

What is wrong with this picture, people?

Enough already!

Why are Christians being bashed unendingly here in America while this badministration continues to ignore the atrocities being done against them in the name of the false “god” allah?

It all seems so Twilight zone-ish and surreal to me. No…that’s not the right description. It IS ALL SO TERRIBLY HORRENDOUS AND MORALLY EVIL!

I have never known any president of the U.S. to ever show such hatred towards Christians, back-stabbing our greatest ally in the Middle East – Israel – and even go so far as to try to do everything in his power to undermine the re-election of Benjamin Netanyahu because he probably (no…definitely) hates him!

Lately, I have noticed several blogs reporting on upcoming military exercises in certain areas of the United States.  The “project” is entitled, “Jade Helm 15.”  When an online search is done, over 2 million links show up!  I usually like to link to blogs that I am familiar with.  That is where I started my research.  The details that I discovered on additional blogs, news stories and websites were everything from the typical line from the movie Animal House – “do not be alarmed – all is well” to downright fear that this military exercise (and the name of it) SHOULD be a great cause of concern for all Americans!

This is a Talk Wisdom Reports – You Decide post.

The most important links that I have seen (so far) are included in the list below. There is an excerpt from the final link. I encourage you to read them and then see what you think?!

Excerpts:

The present administration detests Christians and their actions speak clearly to this point.

Even Elements of the Mainstream Media Question Obama’s Inaction Against ISIS

Why won’t President Obama act to stop the slaughter of Christians in the Middle East by ISIS?

ISIS expanded its extermination of Christians to another country with the release of a video on Sunday purportedly showing a mass execution of Ethiopian Christians in Libya.

In her “Off the Record” commentary, Greta Van Susteren took President Obama to task for failing to act forcefully against the atrocities. Van Susteren words came just after the release of another gruesome video by ISIS, showing the beheadings of the Ethiopian Christians. Van Susteren said despite video proof of the atrocities as they happen, some want to “bury their head in the sand.” Van Susteren demanded that President Obama step forward and lead the “great nations” of the world in a fight to stop the killings of Christians by ISIS.

American Center for Law and Justice Chief Counsel Jay Sekulow has condemned Obama’s inaction against ISIS and their wholesale murders of Christians by asking “how many more Christians must be murdered at the hands of terror group ISIS before President Barack Obama decides to take specific action to stop the slaughter. It is unacceptable for President Obama, the West and the United Nations to stand idly by and watch the systematic elimination of Christians by radical Islamists.”

Muslims are only recognized by Obama in White House statements related to ISIS if they’re the victims. Christians and Jews are only recognized if they’re the perpetrators of violence. Rev. Graham raises the very sensible point when he recently stated “Can you imagine the outcry if 21 Muslims had been beheaded by Christians?”

Obama Is Allowing ISIS to Grow

In the U.S. large scale air campaign which has resulted in countless civilian casualties has been routinely misreported by the mainstream media. According to  Max Boot, senior fellow in national security at the Council on Foreign Relations. ”Obama’s strategy in Syria and Iraq is not working… [ because] the U.S. bombing campaign against ISIS has been remarkably restrained”.  (Newsweek, February 17, 2015). The liberal press can be so forgiving of Obama’s transgressions. Restrained? Obama’s inaction against ISIS constitutes material support for the terror organization. With each day that Obama does virtually nothing to stop ISIS, is another day Obama is allowing ISIS the opportunity to grow stronger and to kill even more Christians.

In the early days of ISIS, Obama had the chance to use F-16’s, F-35’s, A-10’s, bombers, etc., to totally destroy ISIS, but he didn’t, why not? Judicial Watch uncovered a double-sourced government document proving the existence of an ISIS camp eight miles from El Paso. Obama has done nothing. why not?

Obama Is Playing for the Other Side

The lack of inaction against ISIS parallels his excessively weak nuclear treaty with Iran which will ultimately allow the Iranians to gain the ability to launch nuclear weapons against Israel. Obama is allowing Iran to send weapons to Yemen.

Two years ago, Egyptian media claimed President Barack Obama is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB). Leading the charge was Tahani al-Gebali, Vice President of the Supreme Constitutional Court in Egypt.

Americans Should Fear Obama

Nearly 70 percent of Americans say they lack confidence that the U.S. will achieve its goals in fighting the terrorist group ISIS, according to a recent poll. America should not merely question the leadership of Obama, they should question his loyalties. If you are a Christian, Obama, by omission or commission is your enemy and he has the pedigree to validate this statement.

As I have reported in the past, the President’s half brother, Malik Obama, is involved and is a leader in the distribution of arms both in Gaza and in Central America. Malik Obama is charge of weapons procurement and finances for the Muslim Brotherhood. President Obama has never disavowed his half brother’s actions.

In fact, Obama has been fermenting a Muslim Brotherhood takeover of the White House.
This is not about being a Muslim. This is about senior White House officials having strong ties to a terrorist organization, who in turn, have ties to ISIS.

This is not about being a Muslim. This is about senior White House officials having strong ties to a terrorist organization, who in turn, have ties to ISIS.

Under Obama, the New Coptic Christians Are the American Christians

As Supreme Commander of the military, Obama has encouraged/permitted the United States military to participate in the persecution of Christians.  A recent Army briefing was given by Lt. Col. Jack Rich to a reserve unit in Pennsylvania which identified several organizations and movements as extremist groups.  First on the list of his slides presented in the briefing listed evangelical Christians including Catholics, which was subsequently followed by Hamas, al-Qaida, Nation of Islam and the Ku Klux Klan.

Lt. Col. Rich warned his subordinates to not back down from bad Christian behavior for “when they see behaviors which are inconsistent with Army values, don’t just walk by. Do the right thing before it becomes a problem.” Further, the warning has been given to flag Christians and put them on no buy lists for guns. Rich’s briefing dovetails with the same kind of anti-Christian rhetoric recently presented to Colorado law enforcement officials in La Junta, Colorado in which Christians were prominently displayed in as domestic terrorists if they take the Bible too literally. And in the recent, so-called government shutdown, Christian military clergy were prohibited to minister to their flock during the shutdown or they faced court martial.

The Inspiration to Destroy Christians

Consider the following quote from David Spangler of the United Nations.

“No one will enter the New World Order unless he or she will make a pledge to worship Lucifer. No one will enter the New Age unless he will take a Luciferian Initiation.”

David Spangler, Director of Planetary Initiative, United Nations

Even Obama promises to build a kingdom on earth, not God’s kingdom, but his own kingdom.

These are the most frightening words ever spoken by a Chief Executive

Jade Helm In the Hands of Obama Is a Christian Genocide In the Making

Jade Helm is about dissident extractions. We have seen here, that the Obama administration considers Christians to be domestic terrorists. The Jade Helm infiltration techniques , planned to be implemented and spoken of by Jade Helm authorities, speak to the existence of death squads and the intention to use them. Jade Helm is about martial law and mass relocation. Given Obama’s past behavior toward Christians, all people of faith should fear for their lives. This administration has drawn a clear line in the sand against Christians.

Update at 3:22 p.m. on 4/25/15:

Found another informative site. Conspiracy Analyst.org – Jade Helm 15

This individual was in the U.S. Army! His research includes many articles and links, photos, videos and analyses by others. As I scrolled down the page,  I found the article that states, “Seventeen Things You Can Count On When Jade Helm 15 Goes Live.”  This particular portion caught my eye:

15-The total control or elimination of religion

Yes x      No

The Net Neutrality Act implemented by administrative fiat by the FCC has given the government complete power over over all media and ultimately all free speech.

Religion is in grave danger in this administration and the regulations of the Clergy Response Team clearly shows the intent of the federal government. At the time of citizen roundups, the decision has been made to eliminate Christianity as a viable and legal practice as evidenced by the revelations of Pastor Walt Mansfield who provided me with the details in an exclusive interview following his training with the Clergy Response Team. It is highly recommended that you read this article as it details that FEMA camps are real, the Pastor’s role in helping to maintain order within a FEMA camp and the fact that Christianity will not be allowed. Further, Pastor Mansfield revealed that Clergy Response Team pastors are required to spy on those that they minister to. Finally, Mansfield revealed that reading from the Bible is expressly forbidden because Christianity is a form of persecution.

The Armenian Genocide and my grandmother’s secret

April 24, 2015

Children victims of the Armenian Genocide

Children victims of the Armenian Genocide.  H/T:  WND

This morning, I opened my email and found a copy of the following article in my inbox.

WND EXCLUSIVE

The Armenian Genocide and my grandmother’s secret

‘A distant signal was given – it sounded something like a trumpet

To me, the title was terribly horrifying and fearful;  yet at the same time also intriguing. I wanted to know what David Kupelian’s grandmother had told him regarding this “secret” and the “signal of something like a trumpet.”

Never in my wildest dreams did I think such an article would hit me SO HARD, that I became, quite frankly, speechless!

Later on, I went back to the article to read the comments there. They varied in scope, but many reiterated the truth of the matter regarding how people can be mind-controlled and taken in by such evil that they would do such horrendous atrocities against people with whom they formerly were “friendly.”

It is difficult to just “excerpt” the article here, but I will share a few beginning paragraphs.

Decades ago when I was very young, my grandmother, Mary Kupelian, told me a haunting story I’ve wondered about ever since.

As I sat in the kitchen of her cozy little home in Bethesda, Maryland, eating her delicious homemade bread and talking about a frequent topic – the Armenian Genocide, which she and my dad (as a little boy) had barely survived – she shared with me the following enigma.

“The Turkish people are very hospitable people,” she said with surprising warmth, seeing as they had murdered her husband and dozens of other members of her extended family, just a few of the 1.5 million Christian Armenians killed by the Turks during the first genocide of the 20th century. Grandmom knew the Turkish people well, not just from having grown up in southern Turkey, but from having returned several times to the “old country” later in life, during more quiescent times.

However, continuing her story, she intimated to me that the Muslim Turks lived under the spell of strange forces.

“They were very hospitable and would invite you in,” she said. “But, if a distant signal was given – it sounded something like a trumpet – then they would instantly change, and would attempt to harm you. Yet if the signal sounded again, they would immediately switch back to normal.”

“Even,” she added by way of illustration, “if they had injured you after the first signal, as soon as the second signal sounded, they would bind up the very wounds they had inflicted on you.”

As I said – a very, very strange tale, with overtones of “The Manchurian Candidate” and its post-hypnotic suggestions (remember the Queen of Diamonds?) triggering murderous, pre-programmed behavior.

That story, so pregnant with hidden significance, has remained gestating in my mind for all these decades since my grandmother matter-of-factly shared it with me over her kitchen table. It has piqued my interest especially in recent years, as I have endeavored in my writing to sort out and make some sense of a world so powerfully controlled by dark forces.

Since today, April 24, 2015, officially marks the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, let’s delve into my grandmother’s mystery story and see where it leads.

Read more at The Armenian Genocide and my grandmother’s secret

It is VERY important that each one of you read it all! You will be shaken…I guarantee it! The content is gripping! The photos are alarming! The where-with-all of Kupelian’s grandmother in the midst of such evil and suffering is truly brave, courageous and commendable!

But the conclusion of the article will – quite frankly – stun you! I was stunned…and cannot even comment completely on it yet!

It may stir your mind (as it did mine!) in ways that previously may have been viewed (by me) as just “words on a page” when it comes to “forgiving those who trespass against us!”

It connects the first verse with the following verses (spoken by Jesus Himself) in such a way that informs us why Jesus said, “Forgive them Father, for they know not what they are doing” as he was nailed to the cross!

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” – Ephesians 6:12

 Mat 5:44

“But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, [fn]

Mat 5:45

“that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

Luk 6:27

“But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,

Luk 6:28

“bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.

Luk 6:35

“But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.

For now, I want to encourage all who visit here to read the entire article over at WND. Here is the link, again:

P.S.  Just wanted to share two comments from WND on this topic:

The Watchman • 5 hours ago

When people turn their backs and reject God, they also reject the light that smothers the darkness. I am afraid that the darkness is prevailing over the light, as the darkness has been invited where once the light was dominant. Only the Lord can smother the darkness again. He will most certainly destroy the darkness, so it is written, and God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Thank you for sharing this factual and true story. I pray God opens the eyes and unblocks the deaf ears and breaks the hard hearts of the people in this world and those who read this article and through it, convicts them and leads them to Salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord.

You may be surprised that none of those things will work. But God has made it very clear in the Bible how we can know Him.

The following principles will explain how you can personally begin a relationship with God, right now, through Jesus Christ…

Four Blood Moons Documentary

April 23, 2015

During my visit in Virginia, my brother, mom, niece and I went to see the one night encore movie presentation of Four Blood Moons. It was well done and interesting to see how history, science, and Scripture all came together when the phenomenon of blood moons occurred in the past.  All of us were very impressed!

Excerpts from site:

FOUR BLOOD MOONS combines scripture, science, history and big-screen live action spanning centuries, including previous similar lunar occurrences and the earth-shaking changes around them. It also examines our current four blood moon cycle—and its possible meaning for Israel, the Middle East and the world.

An array of historians, religious scholars and commentators appear in FOUR BLOOD MOONS and offer their insight—filmmaker, speaker and author Dinesh D’Souza; radio host and author Dennis Prager; and noted author and historian David Barton to name just a few.

Only three times in the past 500 years have four of these blood moons (or tetrads) occurred back to back and on major Jewish holy days. The fourth tetrad began April 15, 2014, on Passover. In October last year, the second blood moon appeared on the Feast of Tabernacles (also known as Sukkot). Blood moons in 2015 land on the same holy days.

FOUR BLOOD MOONS examines the biblical passages seemingly connected to these events—in Joel and Acts—where it says the “sun will be darkened” and the moon will appear as blood in advance of God’s world-changing action on earth.

Hagee points out that during this four blood moon cycle, all of which touch on Jewish holy days, a solar eclipse also will occur–a combination of events that will never repeat.

Whatever the results, audiences at FOUR BLOOD MOONS will see a compelling and entertaining exploration of these spiritual, celestial and historical events. And they will leave the theater convinced that something is about to change that could impact us all.

There was a panel discussion after the credits of the movie ended which was quite enlightening! Not all panelists (especially the scientist) thought the same way about the blood moons. The scientist stated that blood moons are common – so there is no reason to think that they affect history and/or Scripture. Pastor Hagee pointed out:

Only three times in the past 500 years have four of these blood moons (or tetrads) occurred back to back and on major Jewish holy days. The fourth tetrad began April 15, 2014, on Passover. In October last year, the second blood moon appeared on the Feast of Tabernacles (also known as Sukkot). Blood moons in 2015 land on the same holy days.

Coincidence?

Maybe.

Skeptics like the scientist said so.

The significance of the past occurrences in history lining up with this scientific phenomenon; and the fact that Scripture (in Joel 2 and Acts 2) tells us of blood moons helps believers think that it is our Creator’s way of communicating big events to us.

No one can deny that the radical Islamic jihad occurring all over the Middle East and North Africa over the past 2 years aren’t life changing events in and of itself!  Unfortunately, such events are terrible!

What is it all leading up to?

We shall see…

In the Midst of Darkness, We Continue In What God Has Called Us to Do!

April 22, 2015

Sadly, I have seen several Christian bloggers choose to discontinue posting at their blogs.  I can certainly understand why.  The evil, sin, hatred towards Christians and Jews and awful deaths done by the radical Islamic terrorists in the world has increased exponentially over the past 6+ years!  Such things can be difficult to deal with on a daily basis.  Most of us would rather shut our T.V.’s off and also ignore the bad news given every day via the internet.  After all, it’s more fun just to play video games, post on social media, and text to our friends on our iPhones!

One of the most recent blog shut-downs that I have noticed is Muddy Streams: When the Crickets Stop Singing…

All that the author wrote was this:

After being a cricket chirping in the reeds for years, this is the 1,000th chirp from the Muddy Streams swampland, and quite possibly the last. We could write and read and talk about the muddy streams of spiritual convergence all day, but there are more important things to do. Can you hear the winds of change blowing in the reeds? A storm is coming, it’s time to get ready.

Get Right With God . . .

There are two videos there. The second one entitled, “The Only Hope in the Coming Storm” is quite sobering…to say the least! However, it ends with a powerful message for the Church of Jesus Christ in what can seem to be alerting us and reminding us that we are closer to the end times with each passing day.  I read comment sections where people fear that the U.S. might be approaching its final hour.

However, we are told in Scripture that we do not know the day nor hour when Christ will come for His own and whisk us away from this fallen world. We know that Christ’s kingdom is NOT OF THIS WORLD. He has specifically told us this in the Bible.

Jhn 8:23

And He said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.

Jhn 18:36

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”

However, He has given all of us “assignments” – if you will – in this world; and we are to remain faithful until He brings all to the completion that we so desire!

Jesus provides many Scriptures of comfort for us. Among them are:

Jhn 11:9

Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. [italics mine]

Jhn 11:10

“But if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.”

He gives us Scriptures of warning:

1Jo 4:3

and every spirit that does not confess that [fn] Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

Rom 12:2

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

And, He gives us Scriptures of encouragement and blessing, like those in 1 John 4!

Below are just a few of the verses from that chapter, but the entire chapter (link above) describes God’s love towards us perfectly and how we are to continue our work until the day of redemption.

1Jo 4:2

By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,

1Jo 4:4

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

1Jo 4:6

We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

1Jo 4:9

In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

1Jo 4:10

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

1Jo 4:11

Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

I hope that you will change your mind and continue your excellent blogging!

I know it can be taxing – especially when so much evil, sin, and death is happening at such a higher rate than ever before! Sometimes it helps to take a week off (like I recently did) and come back refreshed to continue posting the TRUTH.

People NEED to hear and read the TRUTH of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and they need to be reminded of what God’s Word – the Bible says!

As bloggers, we have no idea how many people may have been blessed by our online work for the Lord. Perhaps we will learn of this in the future in heaven?

I, for one, truly appreciate the work you do here at this blog!

Shouldn’t Christians Just Obey the Law?

April 22, 2015

I receive emails from CitizenLink.  The goal of this organization is to help transform the culture through biblical citizenship.  Today, CitizenLink provided a link to an essay posted at the Family Policy Institute.  After reading this excellent article, I thought it would be advantageous to share it with readers here.  I pray that it would go viral!  But I doubt that it will  because the “politically correct” crowd will NOT like it…not one bit!

It is just too good to only excerpt here, so I have copied and pasted the entire essay below.  Please share your thoughts after reading it!

Shouldn’t Christians Just Obey the Law?

April 14, 2015/11 Comments/by Joseph Backholm

If there’s one thing today’s secular progressive enjoys, it’s telling Christians how to be Christians.

It feels funny when it happens. A bit like getting combat training from Jane Fonda or Cindy Sheehan.

But they mean well.

And they know a verse. Their favorite verse is Matthew 7:1, which says “judge not lest ye also be judged.” They quote it every time a Christian expresses an opinion because their years of deep theological study have shown them that Matthew 7:1 means it’s wrong to have an opinion. About anything. After all, an opinion is a judgment and you can’t do that.

Says so right there.

Red letters even.

The urge to lecture Christians on how to be Christian is almost irresistible in the dispute over whether businesses can be forced to participate in same-sex weddings.

“I thought you were a Christian. Aren’t Christians supposed to follow the law?”

For the moment, let’s put aside the far-from-resolved debate over whether the law really does mandate involuntary servitude for same-sex weddings.

For the purpose of this conversation, we will assume that it does.

Shouldn’t Christians just obey the law?

In his Letter from a Birmingham Jail, Martin Luther King Jr. wrote one of the greatest commentaries ever written about what Christian citizenship requires.

It is also instructive to remember the context in which the letter was written. It was a letter written to his fellow clergymen who were concerned about his activities.

At the time, not everyone appreciated his demonstrations the way we do today.

Specifically, they expressed “anxiety over [his] willingness to break laws”. He acknowledged the apparent contradiction in urging people to obey the Supreme Court’s decision of 1954 outlawing segregation in the public schools and demonstrating in ways that the law forbid.

“How can you advocate breaking some laws and obeying others?” he asked rhetorically.

His response is instructive both for the Christian and for those who seek to understand what motivates Christians,

“The answer lies in the fact that there are two types of laws: just and unjust. I would be the first to advocate obeying just laws. One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws. I would agree with St. Augustine that “an unjust law is no law at all.”

Well how do we know whether a law is just or unjust?

A just law is a man made code that squares with the moral law or the law of God. An unjust law is a code that is out of harmony with the moral law. To put it in terms of St. Thomas Aquinas: An unjust law is a human law that is not rooted in eternal law and natural law.

And this is where everyone starts to get uncomfortable. Is that MLK or Jerry Falwell?

Then he gives some examples:

An unjust law is a code that a numerical or power majority group compels a minority group to obey but does not make binding on itself.

I wonder if that would include laws that let one person decline to bake a cake with a message they disagree with but not another person. Doesn’t he understand that these people offend me?

The left isn’t going to condemn MLK anytime soon because they like what he did. But their failure to appreciate or even acknowledge why he did it causes them to miss a much larger point.

Fundamental to Christianity is the idea that there is a law higher than man’s law.

The compulsion to obey God regardless of what the law says is the reason the Civil Rights movement was a movement of Christians. It is the reason Quakers violated the law to be an integral part of the Underground Railroad. It is why Christians rallied against the ancient practice of exposure in which infants were set out to die immediately after birth. It is why Christians worked in India to eliminate the practice of burning widows on the funeral pyres of their husbands.

This isn’t an attempt to provide an exhaustive history of Christianity. I’m confident I don’t need to remind you of the challenges the Christian church has had. That’s what President Obama is for.

But context is important.

The reason Christians violated the law to free slaves, save babies from exposure, and rescue widows from funeral pyres is the same reason Christians today feel they cannot be part of a same-sex wedding ceremony. We are bound to a higher law.

And before you start lecturing your Christian friends about why their position is actually not the Christian position, stop and ask yourself this question. “Do I actually know what I’m talking about?” If you haven’t read a Bible in a year, the answer is likely no.

Besides, the fact that you may not understand why someone feels something is wrong should not prohibit you from respecting their conscience anyway.

Nevertheless, the idea that there is a law that is above government is not simply just a Christian idea, it is an American idea as well.

The Declaration of Independence reminds us that our rights are endowed by our creator not our government and that governments are created to secure rights, not to create them.

We are a constitutional republic (rather than a democracy) with a Bill of Rights specifically because our Founders understood that the majority can be wrong; a position that assumes a moral law exists above legislated law.

Therefore, even if everyone knows I’m a terrible, horrible, very bad guy, even ninety-nine percent of the public can’t vote to take away my right to free speech, the free exercise of religion, or a fair trial.

Your rights transcend your political popularity and the government exists to protect those rights, not appease the mob.

This structure protects us all because, as the gay lobby has so clearly demonstrated, neither political popularity nor political powerlessness are necessarily permanent conditions.

While the right not to participate has historically been protected by the First Amendment’s guarantee to the Free Exercise of religion, some now claim the obligation to participate is required by the “duly enacted” non-discrimination statute.

The majority said you can’t use religion as an excuse to “discriminate”, so you can’t.

But the majority isn’t supposed to be able to “duly enact” away the First Amendment. That’s why it’s the First Amendment.

But again, we’re assuming none of that matters.

In a world in which the law is in conflict with the Christian conscience, the response from many on the left is a cold, “Just obey the law.”

To which the florist responds, “I will obey the law, I just won’t obey your law.”

And from his perch in heaven, Martin Luther King Jr. says, “You go girl!”

Any Readers Watching the Series, “A.D. – The Bible Continues?”

April 21, 2015

I have watched all three episodes of the epic series, ” A.D. The Bible Continues” which have been broadcast over the last three Sunday nights on NBC.  The stats for viewership are good and the series is getting a high rating from faith driven consumers for biblical accuracy.

Contrary to what secular leftists might claim, the Bible is still very important and being sought out and read by millions across the U.S. as well as around the world!

If you didn’t see Sunday’s episode, you can view it at the link above.

A.D. The Revolution that Changed the World

In addition to this great series, Dr. David Jeremiah of Turning Point Ministries is doing sermons each Sunday morning which shares the Scripture behind the story of the NBC 12 week series!

You can view all sermons presented so far at the new website, A.D. – The Revolution that Changed the World.

Please feel free to share your opinions and thoughts on both the NBC series and Dr. Jeremiah’s sermons on the Scripture behind the story in the comment section.

Thanks and God bless!

Revisiting “The Unforgivable Sin.”

April 20, 2015

Yesterday my husband, son and I attended a wonderful service at Life Mission Church.  The topic was “The Unforgivable Sin,” also known as “The Sin Unto Death.”

Previously, I brought over a post on this topic from my former blog and posted it here on 2/3/15.  A good discussion began in that comment thread!

My goal here today is to share a brief opinion about the approach to this topic, share Pastor Jobey’s outline and some of my own notes, and Scriptures related to the topic.  I welcome comments, questions, and even challenges from each of  you, dear readers,  regarding what is written.

What I liked about Pastor Jobey’s initial discussion was his humbleness in saying that this topic – the unforgiveable sin – is very difficult.  We are taught in Christian faith that all sin can be forgiven through belief and repentance of sin via Christ’s death on the cross at Calvary.  However, the passage in Matthew 12:30-32 describes that there is an unforgivable sin.

Outline:

WHAT IS THE UNFORGIVABLE SIN?

Matthew 12:30-32

Mat 12:30

“He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.

Mat 12:31

“Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.

Mat 12:32

“Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.

Jesus says there is a sin that is unforgiveable, but what is it?  Let’s first get some context to help us see what He is speaking about.

This was during another confrontation with the Pharisees.  What are they doing?

Before:  The Pharisees were knowingly and willfully hardening their hearts, not simply toward the miracles, but toward Him, denying the very facts that were plain before their eyes.  They are “denying His power.”

After:  Jesus then continues to talk about recognizing true believers from those who claim to be believers.

What it is Not:

*  Not simply a Christian’s momentary denial (like Peter).

*  Nor is it even a guarantee that a non-believer who is totally opposed to Jesus is beyond salvation (like Saul of Tarsus).

What it Seems to Be:

*  A sin that an unbeliever commits, not just once but perpetually until death.

*  An ongoing and persistent rejection of the work of the Holy Spirit, when someone is willfully and adamantly denying, as the Pharisees were, the true nature of who Christ is, they stand in a troubling position of potentially blaspheming the Holy Spirit’s work.

*  When someone who is plainly and clearly admitting, to some depth, who Jesus is (the Pharisees admitted Jesus was a miracle worker, Judas followed Jesus as the Son of Man, etc.), but still, in the end, reject Him by hardening their hearts towards the Holy Spirit.

Hebrews 6:4-12

Heb 6:4

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit,

Heb 6:5

and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come,

Heb 6:6

if they fall away, [fn] to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

Heb 6:7

For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God;

Heb 6:8

but if it bears thorns and briers, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned.

Heb 6:9

But, beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation, though we speak in this manner.

Heb 6:10

For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of [fn] love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Heb 6:11

And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end,

Heb 6:12

that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

WHAT SHOULD CONCERN US?

For both those who don’t believe in Christ, and for those who do call themselves a Christian, Jesus’ words, “whoever is not with me is against me,” are sobering ones.

There is no neutrality with Christ.

Jesus’ claims leave no room for that.

The cross demands a response.

2 Timothy 3:1-17

*******

A pause from the outline.

There are weeks worth of study in 2 Timothy 3:1-17!  However, just reading it through once gets a clear message across regarding in Whom we need to trust vs. those who would appear to be “having a form of godliness but denying its power.” We are warned, “And from such people turn away!”

The rest of the verses describe exactly HOW we can avoid error, heresy, and apostasy – which the book of Jude also warns us about!

Pastor Jobey mentioned that “people are not saved through cultural Christianity.” It is NOT just “head” knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. It requires something much deeper…namely the indwelling of the Holy Spirit within the heart to bring us to remembrance of all that Jesus has said in the Scriptures as well as all that is written within the Bible in its entirety.

Contrast these two verses:

Jhn 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Note Proverbs 24:16 –

Pro 24:16

For a righteous man may fall seven times
And rise again,
But the wicked shall fall by calamity.

We are also told in Proverbs 24:17 –

Pro 24:17

Do not rejoice when your enemy falls,
And do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles

Jesus desires that ALL people come to repentance! However, after sharing the Gospel with those who refuse to believe, there are times when we must “shake the dust from our sandals” and go on to the next person. Not all will desire to know the truth – which COULD set them free. But we do our job when we share; despite the rejection of some. The celebration when just one person comes to Christ is big in heaven! We rejoice as well!

Why?

Because we know the truth!

There is NOTHING that can separate us from the love of God once born-again through Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross and once the Holy Spirit indwells the heart!

However, defiance of knowing what is true – which is a willful, wicked rejection of Christ and the Holy Spirit leads to “whoever is not with me is against me” mentality!

Very sobering!

Perpetually denying who Christ is, what He accomplished for us via the cross, and rejecting the gift of the Holy Spirit indwelling the heart leads each individual to the “sin unto death.”

As the end of the verse in Romans 6:16 says, “OR of obedience unto righteousness.”

That is the ultimate choice that we have!

Continuing with the outline:

HOW CAN WE FIND HOPE AND ASSURANCE?

For those who don’t believe, or for those who say they believe but their lives don’t look like it, you are invited to cry out for God’s grace and forgiveness toward you. He tells us that is we “confess with our mouth and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9,10). This Jesus is real. He really walked this earth, He really died so that you could live.

The ultimate purpose of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is to bring a message of mercy, grace, forgiveness and love! We all must answer Jesus’ question, “Who do you say that I am?”
