Love Is Sacrifice

With all of the vitriol, commentary, disagreements, support, sadness, gladness, insults being hurled, and thankfulness being given by people on TV regarding the blockbuster hit movie, “American Sniper,” I decided to  weigh in on the topic.

First, you might like to view a brief video of The O’Reilly Factor which covered some of the vitriol going on.

I thought about the views regarding Chris Kyle, (the brave American Navy SEAL in whom the book and movie was created to tell his story) that have been spewed by some who despised him for what he did.  I thought about how others had the completely opposite feelings of gratefulness and honor towards him.

Why are such polar opposite views of him being debated by pundits on TV?

Why all the vitriol against him?

Why all the support and honor by others who viewed Kyle as an honorable defender of our nation against those who would not hesitate to come to America in order to kill you and I, as well as any person who does not accept radical Islamic terrorists and their horrid ideology?

Chris Kyle killed enemy combatants during the war in order to protect his fellow troop members fighting the battle over there so that we wouldn’t have to fight it here. Watch out folks, because as we now know and have seen, the battles have begun here as well.

Such an attitude against our military members fighting for our freedom against Nazism, Japanese Totalitarianism, and Communism World War II were practically non-existent…except for maybe a few crazies who agreed with the “isms” of that era. Today, we are fighting another world-wide battle against another “ism” – radical Islamic terrorism. Yet, this current BADministration refuses to label the enemy as such.

Well, my purpose here is not to get into a huge political discussion. I want to focus on the TRUTH and one of the reasons why there is such a divide in our nation regarding the battle against radical Islamic terrorism.

Let me back up a bit.

It was recently revealed that the film, “The Passion of the Christ” topped all R-rated films at the box office. Why is that? Was it only because Christians decided to go and see the movie in the theaters? Maybe.

Today, we have “American Sniper” on target to surpass “The Passion of the Christ” film’s record at the box office.

Why?

I’m convinced that it has a lot to do with the “love is sacrifice” Christian ideology that is eternally inherent in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary.

For what purpose you may ask?  Answer:  for the remission of sins; and the fact that our Savior’s Love was so great that mankind, through simple belief in Him, can confess their sins, ask Jesus into their hearts to be their Lord and Savior, and be reconciled back unto the Father to spend eternity with Him.

In Chris Kyle’s case, the sacrifices that he made for our people and nation (as well as the sacrifices made by him for his family and by his family for him to accomplish what he did) cannot be missed – and deserve to be honored for what he did while completing his individual calling and mission in this life while on this earth.

The following music video by King and Country is called, “The Proof of Your Love.” The video may be seen as quite unconventional for a Christian-based band, but I think that the combination of what you are seeing and hearing in the lyrics reveals the fact that LOVE IS SACRIFICE. As members of the human race here on earth, we can demonstrate this in various ways. Just ask any parent who would do anything within God’s Will for their children.

However, there is no greater love than what Jesus Christ accomplished on the cross for our benefit.

Watch on Youtube: “The Proof Of Your Love” by King and Country

From azlyrics:

“The Proof Of Your Love”

If I sing but don’t have love
I waste my breath with every song
I bring an empty voice, a hollow noise
If I speak with a silver tongue
Convince a crowd but don’t have love
I leave a bitter taste with every word I say
So let my life be the proof,
The proof of Your love
Let my love look like You and what You’re made of
How You lived, how You died
Love is sacrifice
So let my life be the proof,
The proof of Your love
If I give
To a needy soul but don’t have love then who is poor?
It seems all the poverty is found in me
So let my life be the proof,
The proof of Your love
Let my love look like You and what You’re made of
How You lived, how You died
Love is sacrifice
Oh, let my life be the proof,
The proof of Your love
When it’s all said and done
When we sing our final song
Only love remains
Only love remains
Let my life be the proof,
The proof of Your love
Let my love look like You and what You’re made of
How You lived, how You died
Love is sacrifice
So let my life be the proof,
The proof of Your love

Thanks to Tommy Valentine for adding these lyrics.

“To sacrifice oneself for another is the greatest honor” If you love someone enough would you not be willing to die for them? Why is it so hard to believe that Jesus loves you so much that he sacrificed himself for you? Do you not want to believe that there is a god who cares about his people enough to sacrifice himself for them?

It is still heavily important to remember our initial standing before God prior to Christ’s sacrifice. Especially if you’re a gentiles (as I am and most of American Christians are). A true appreciation for Christ’s sacrifice comes from remembering that without his love our only deserving place is Hell. And that he continues to love us and his grace continues to abound though we continue to disobey him AFTER he has died for us. I know I completely do not deserve Christ’s sacrifice whatsoever…which makes the fact that he saved me all the more amazing and awesome 🙂

The Relationship Between Genuine Love and Free Agency

January 26, 2015

Found a great website called Please Convince Me.com and a You tube site called, “Please Convince Me.”  One of the many videos that are listed there is the one below which discusses “The Problem of Moral Evil.”  I thought that the points made were terrific and biblical!  This brief, five minute video explains why the choice to love also needs the free will choice not to love.

Cold Case Christianity asks:

Many people believe that the presence of moral evil in the world proves an all-powerful, all-loving God simply doesn’t exist, but there may be a relationship between genuine love and free agency requiring the possibility of evil. If this is true, what role does God play in the story of humanity and how will justice be served?

The Importance of the Parable of the Wheat and Tares

January 26, 2015

HT for graphic:  wwyeshuafiles.wordpress.com

Being a blog author and administrator can oftentimes be quite a blessing, but at other times, it can be difficult.

Over the past few days, I have had quite a huge disagreement with an individual who started posting comments here about a week ago.  I checked out his blog before releasing the first comment, and just the fact that he had a “boycott Israel” graphic on his sidebar alerted me to find out more about his ideas and motives.  As I read some of the posts there, some of his beliefs were quite bizarre.  I copied and posted a few of his comments at this link, however, he became even more enraged at me for not posting all of his writings. I can understand that, so I asked him about what he believes and posted what I believe about God, the Bible, humankind, eternity, Jesus Christ, salvation, the Holy Spirit, Spiritual gifts, and what it means to be born-again in Jesus Christ. He chose NOT to respond to my questions regarding whether or not he agreed and believed in the same doctrine presented. He also chose NOT to tell me whether or not he is a born-again Christian. Therefore, I left a final comment to him in that thread (link above).

This encounter has taught me a lesson. When a newcomer quotes lots of Scripture, yet makes claims against the Jewish people and Israel, I find it difficult to hold a good conversation with such a person. It is very questionable as to whether or not such an individual has proper motives.

In the past, (at my former blog) I have had trouble with bloggers who “didn’t get their way” in the comment section, so they proceeded to spam my comment pending box in revenge for ending their negative commentary. Because of this, I needed to switch back to approving all comments.

Here at Word Press, once a comment is approved the commenter’s future posts are automatically approved and released to the blog (unless there are 2 or more live links in the comment). Also, once a comment is approved, then the link back to the author’s blog appears on this site.

Here at Talk Wisdom, I wanted to avoid linking with leftist bloggers (even those who claim to be “Christian”) precisely because their skewed ideas and tortured “doctrine” could be damaging to those who come to this blog seeking the truth found in God’s Word.

I’m not a perfect person. Never claimed to be. But God’s Word is perfect and His Son, Jesus Christ is perfect. That is why I lean on doctrinal truth provided by the Bible and the words of the Person of Jesus Christ that are recorded in the Bible.

Doctrine is extremely important!

2Ti 3:16

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

2Ti 3:17

that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Jhn 7:16

Jesus [fn] answered them and said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me.

Even more importantly, what is taught needs to be SOUND doctrine!

2Ti 3:16

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

2Ti 4:3

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;

Tit 1:9

holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict.

Tit 2:6

Likewise, exhort the young men to be sober-minded,

Tit 2:7

in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility, [fn]

Tit 2:8

sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you. [fn]

We have the warning in Scripture that people will have “itching ears” and thus not adhere to sound doctrine.

2Ti 4:2

Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.

2Ti 4:3

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;

2Ti 4:4

and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

2Ti 4:5

But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

Like it or not – all born-again believers in Christ are evangelists!

Like it or not – we are to be ready “in season and out of season.”

2 Timothy 4:b instructs us to , “Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.”

Yet, there is a time to “shake the dust off of your sandals” when a person rejects the Gospel of Jesus Christ, so that you can move on to someone else who is searching for the truth.

Mat 10:14

“And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.

Mar 6:11

“And whoever [fn] will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. [fn] Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!”

Luk 9:5

“And whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet as a testimony against them.”

Jesus told us that there will be those who will reject the Gospel in the Parable of the Sower

Mat 13:18

“Therefore hear the parable of the sower:

Mat 13:19

“When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.

Mat 13:20

“But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy;

Mat 13:21

“yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.

Mat 13:22

“Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

Mat 13:23

“But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

As Christian evangelists, we are to “plant the seed” through spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God does the rest! The verses in Matthew reveal the many ways that a person who hears the Gospel either “goes by the wayside,” or, “receives it with joy but only endures for while and then stumbles because of persecution,” or,  “allows the word to be choked out because of the cares of this world and deceitfulness of riches.” All of these can cause a person to become unfruitful.

We may inquire further to discover what Jesus meant when he stated (in Matthew 13:23) “But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it.”

David Guzik has a good commentary about that verse:

d. Good ground: As seed falling on good ground brings a good crop of grain (Matthew 13:8), so some respond rightly to the word and bear much fruit.

i. This soil represents those who receive the word, and it bears fruit in their soil – in differing proportions (some hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty), though each has a generous harvest.

e. Therefore, hear the parable of the sower: We benefit from seeing bits of ourselves in all four soils.
– Like the wayside, sometimes we allow the word no room at all in our lives. – Like the stony places, we sometimes have flashes of enthusiasm in receiving the word that quickly burn out. – Like the soil among thorns, the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches are constantly threatening to choke out God’s word and our fruitfulness. – Like the good ground, the word bears fruit in our lives.

i. We notice that the difference in each category was with the soil itself. The same seed was cast by the same sower. You could not blame the differences in results on the sower or on the seed, but only on the soil. “O my dear hearers, you undergo a test today! Peradventure you will be judging the preacher, but a greater than the preacher will be judging you, for the Word itself shall judge you.” (Spurgeon)

HT for graphic:  media cache

Guzik goes on to reveal another aspect of this parable, and it has to do with “good soil” and ultimately asking ourselves, “what kind of soil am I?”

ii. The parable was also an encouragement to the disciples. Even though it might seem that few respond, God is in control and the harvest will certainly come. This was especially meaningful in light of the rising opposition to Jesus. “Not all will respond, but there will be some who do, and the harvest will be rich.” (France)

iii. “Who knoweth, O teacher, when thou labourest even among the infants, what the result of thy teaching may be? Good corn may grow in very small fields.” (Spurgeon)

iv. Even more than describing the mixed progress of the gospel message, the parable of the sower compels the listener to ask, “What kind of soil am I?”

Directly following the Parable of the Sower, Jesus tells his listeners the Parable of the Tares and Wheat. This is why I needed to reject “Edom’s Thorn” when he commented here, and why I didn’t want to link to his blog.

B. Parables of corruption among the kingdom community.

1. (24-30) The parable of the wheat and the tares.

Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”‘”

a. His enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat: This parable describes the work of an enemy who tried to destroy the work of the man who sowed good seed in his field. The enemy’s purpose in sowing tares among the wheat was to destroy the wheat. But the wise farmer would not allow the enemy to succeed. Instead, the farmer decided to sort it out at harvest time.

i. We note that this parable clearly describes corruption among the people of God. Just as in the previous parable, the wheat represents the people of God. Some corrupting influence is brought, and an influence that may look genuine even as tares may resemble real wheat.

ii. “The weeds are probably darnel, a poisonous plant related to wheat and virtually indistinguishable from it until the ears form.” (France)

b. Lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them: In the interest in preserving and protecting the wheat, the wise farmer did not separate the tares from the wheat until the time of harvest.

i. The wise farmer recognized that the ultimate answer to tares among the wheat would only come at the final harvest.

ii. Knowing the explanation of this parable as explained in Matthew 13:36-43, we understand why Jesus said it right after explaining the parable of the sower, especially with the seed that grew up among the thorns. “But one might ask whether the Messiah’s people should immediately separate the crop from the weeds; and this next parable answers the question negatively: there will be a delay in separation until the harvest.” (Carson)

He Carries Us Through

January 24, 2015

HT for graphic:  loveforhispeople.BlogSpot.com

The Bible has several verses that use metaphors about eagles to describe God’s loving care for us.

Exodus 19:4 (KJV) – ‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself.

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) – But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.

Deuteronomy 32:11 (NASB) – “Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, That hovers over its young, He spread His wings and caught them, He carried them on His pinions.

I recently read a great story about how eagles mate. The female eagle watches for a male that is interested in her and when she’s ready to be courted, she flies down and picks up a twig or branch and brings it up high with her. She then drops the twig and watches to see if the male catches it before it hits the ground. If he catches it and returns it to her, she will find another larger or smaller stick to drop next time. She will continue to do this with various size branches and from various heights. If the male ever lets the branch hit the ground, she flies away and the courtship is over. She may do this over and over until she is satisfied that he will never allow the branch to hit the ground. For the final test, she will pick up a small log, almost as big as she is and fly swiftly in a figure eight pattern. If he succeeds, they will lock their talons and do a mating dance in flight and then they will mate for life.

What is truly interesting to note is that when a baby eaglet reaches a certain point of maturity, the mother eagle will shove her little eagle out of the nest and he will be frightened to death. He’s never flown before and doesn’t know what to expect, so it is a very scary time for him. He tries and tries to flap his wings fast enough to stay afloat but he is surely going to die if he hits the ground. But he doesn’t know the plan. You see, just before he hits the ground, the father eagle swoops down under him and catches him on his wings and brings him back to the nest for his next flying lesson. Now you see why the female was so adamant about him catching the branch every single time.

Does God ever seem distant in your life? Are you going through circumstances that are very difficult and you don’t know why? Do you sometimes think that God isn’t listening or involved with your life? Sometimes it may seem that way…but God is involved and He’s always there to support you even when it doesn’t feel like it. He knows what is best for us and how much we need to learn in our circumstances.

Have you noticed that some of the greatest ministry leaders had to go through a tough, similar circumstance before genuinely understanding what others with the same problems/challenges are going through? Whether it be alcoholism, drugs, illicit sex, adultery, breaking the law etc. it seems that those who have found redemption from their previous ills are those who can minister best to others who are involved in the same sin and deceptive path in life. These lifestyles can lead a person into the throes of sin, abuse, pain and hopelessness. Those who have already experienced such things are often better able to identify with those who are suffering from the same illness or angst. Going through such “longsuffering” is one of the fruits of the Spirit. It may not be a pleasant one, but it is sometimes necessary to bring people to realize their need for redemption. Then, they are equipped to bring others to realize their need for redemption in Jesus Christ.

Readers here have mentioned that when I share personal stories of pain or suffering in my life and then share the redemptive power of Christ coming through in the midst of the darkness; this is when the blog ministers to their hearts in a big way. Why? Because they see that in a circumstance where there may appear that there is no hope, God is ultimately faithful and true.

We find that in such circumstances His enabling and His grace, brings hope and encouragement. Through a deeper understanding of God’s Word, His purpose, and His sovereignty, people learn that God swoops under us and saves us, just when we thought we were about to crash.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Proverbs 3:6 – In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Discussion Regarding the Term “Zionism.”

January 23, 2015

HT for graphic:  qunfuz.files.wordpress.com

The topic of Zionism regarding the Jewish State of  Israel,  the politics of Zionism, and the various views of Zionism in today’s world is a difficult and often complicated one.

Recently, a new subscriber here at Talk Wisdom has posted some comments (many were, quite frankly, bizarre) that required a lot of research on my part in order to understand where he (she) was coming from because there are many forms of, and explanations regarding the term “Zionism.”

In the comment section of my previous post, I tried to begin tackling this complicated subject.  The following is by no means an exhaustive review and/or  commentary on Zionism, but I have included links to the Virtual Jewish Library that explains all of the different forms of Zionism and what they mean (according to that author at that site).  I have decided to share some of my research in this new blog post, with the hope that those who may be confused (as I was!) regarding the many views and explanations on Zionism, would get a better idea of the differing types that can be researched.  I welcome comments on all sides of this issue, as long as they are amicable and I especially encourage comments that add to the knowledge of the subject matter.

To commenter “Edom’s Thorn”:

I appreciate your willingness to get into the discussions here at Talk Wisdom. However, your first two comments a while back were so bizarre that I deleted them. The comment that you recently wrote for this post was better, but as you said within your own words – more research needs to be done regarding your claims.

Here is a copy of your comment:

EDOM created ISLAM!

When you have put all of this together in these articles, this is the only thing that makes sense.
“Why don’t these scriptures fit the so called “Gods Chosen”?
“EDOM: The Story Of Jacob And Esau Is Not Just A Story”
“The SYNAGOGUE Of SATAN: EDOMS PLAYGROUND”
“GENOCIDE, INFESTATION, INFILTRATION: The Beginning”

Google and RESEARCH is needed!

EDOM created the “ILLUMINATI”….

EDOM CREATED the Catholic Church>>>>> WHERE there is a DESIRE, a “MAN” will discover the truth! But the “FOOL” will never understand! SEE PROVERBS 18:1-2

When I read some posts at your blog, I felt that you were putting down Israel and the Jews. We must remember that the Jews were God’s chosen people through which the Messiah of the world came – our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ

Look, I can understand why you write some of what you do, but God hasn’t “changed His mind” about Israel or the Jews. Jesus was born as a Jew in the Incarnation! The first Christians (called “The Way” back in those early days) were Messianic Jews. There are many Jewish converts to Christianity today. One such leader is Rabbi K.A. Schneider who appears on a program entitled “The Jewish Jesus.” You can read about him here.

I understand that there are disputes about Zionism, both in this country and others. There is the political side of it (advanced by mostly secular Jews) and the spiritual (more important!) side of Zionism (where Christians and Jews can agree – yet disagree about whether or not Jesus (Yeshua) is the Messiah).

It would take too long to explain it all, but suffice it to say that Christians are called to support the Jewish State of Israel and not require them to give up any land to the now terrorist supporting Hamas-led Palestinian Authority. Such a view is biblically based, but rejected by a lot of the secular leftist liberal progressives in the U.S. as well as around the world. Even U.S. presidents and leaders fall into this error by using political maneuvers to try to get Israel to give up the land that was given to them by God (Yahweh), and miraculously returned to them after the horrors of the Holocaust in WWII.

Of course this brief comment doesn’t cover all that needs to be said, but I wanted to acknowledge you for your comments here.

It might be helpful for you to read about these two separate forms of Zionism and why Christians support the spiritual side:

Jewish Virtual Library: Christian Zionism

In the section called “radical” Messianic Zionism, we read:

A religious claim provided strong justification for those who wished to hold on to the occupied territories: If the State of Israel was viewed as the unfolding of a Messianic scenario, then the miraculous victory of the Six-Day War was an essential stage in that process. The territories belong to the Jewish people (i.e., the State of Israel) by Divine decree and they may not be handed over to foreign hands.

The issue of territories, viewed in an eschatological context, became the defining feature for broad segments of religious Zionism in the post-1967 era.

Of course, the Jews would be expecting the first coming of their Messiah, while Christians view the coming of the Messiah as the Second Coming of Jesus Christ (Yeshua).

There is also a section called “American Zionism” that used to be what most presidents here agreed with in the past. But when BHO was elected (unfortunately) it has taken a turn towards more of a sympathetic desire to take “land for peace” from Israel for the Palestinians, rather than continue to recognize the sovereign Jewish State and all the land that was promised by God in the Bible. IMO, this change is because BHO is both Marxist and pro-Islamic in his beliefs. That is why he has been more like an enemy towards Israel rather than a close friend to Israel as all of our former presidents have been.

Admittedly, some presidents (like Clinton and G.W. Bush) also pushed the “land for peace” idea in order to try and politically solve the dilemma and stop the ongoing wars between the Israelis and Palestinians. But I believe that they did so in hopes of stopping the attacks on the Jewish state by the Muslim/Arab Palestinians and finally gain peace in the region. Unfortunately, even when former PLO leader Yasser Arafat was given all that he wanted in a peace agreement, it was rejected. Why? Because the PLO Charter still had the goal of eliminating the Jewish State and pushing the Israelis into the sea. Such a mindset is even more evident in the region now that it’s under the terrorist organization of Hamas! We can see why the peace of Jerusalem will remain unreachable until Jesus Christ returns.

The difference with BHO in the White House is the fact that he hates Netanyahu (who, thank God, was in place as Prime Minister for such a time as this!) and sides with the Muslim world in practically everything!

Recall what Obama wrote in one of his books:

In “Audacity of Hope” he writes: “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” The quote comes from page 261 of the paperback edition of “The Audacity of Hope.”

In the table of contents at the Jewish Virtual Library, we see a list of several named types of “Zionism.”

I still need to do more research regarding what you write about at your site. But some of the things you adhere to are not biblically based (IMHO) and might do damage towards what I am trying to accomplish here at this blog. Thanks, in advance, for understanding.

Wycliffe Bible “Translators” Turn Insane!

January 22, 2015

HT for graphic:  kzlam36.files.wordpress.com

Not enough can be said and written about this aberrant, evil, diabolical (yes…as in satan’s snare!), anti-Christ “version” of the Bible that these brain-dead, reprobate, unrepentant, and (as my friend Steve likes to say, “bat-shit crazy”) so-called “translators” of the  Wycliffe group created in order to appease Muslims!! What was so egregious, you may ask?  They conspired to write a Bible version that eliminates the words “Son of God” from Scripture!

In my former post entitled False Prophets and Their Doctrines of Demons, I mentioned the fact that Wycliffe Bible translators must have lost their minds to create a Bible “version” that eliminates the words   Son of God from Scripture!  Can they be THAT delusional and reprobate to even dream up such an awful heresy?

If you haven’t seen the TV broadcast of Jack Van Impe discussing why this is an intolerable and evil development, I would suggest that you view it now.

Jack Van Impe: Program #1503 – 1/17/2015

I watched the program again yesterday, and Mr. Van Impe mentions Rick Warren and Bill Hybels, by name, as two heretical “pastors” who are promoting a reprobate theology called “Chrislam.”  Put that title of apostacy into a search engine and you will find over 35,000 links!

One that I recommend is Exposing Chrislam.

Excerpt:

This site is dedicated to exposing the deadly heresy of Chrislam which denies the deity of Jesus Christ and seeks to merge the church with Islam.
Chrislam is one of the many end times deceptions warned about in the Holy Bible.

There is a report over at The Christian Post where it is denied that Wycliffe is involved with this. However, when I went to that site, they are promoting a link to Bill Hybels. It’s probably a liberal leftist article that is meant to downplay the seriousness of this issue!

Many comments there are really good and in support of genuine Bible translation terminology. In fact, one commenter had this to say:

pierrerashad

12:22 AM on February 08, 2012

How can they even claim this? Do they have no integrity at all? As other comments have shown, it’s still on their website: http://alanbiya.net/downloads/sirat%20almasih/sirat%20almasih%2021.mp3

In this recording, Luke 22:70 is changed from “Are you then the Son of God?” to: “Are you the king, the Calph (successor) of God?”.

I happen to be from Lebanon and I speak Arabic, but it’s sad that Wycliffe thinks it can deceive the public just because most of their supporters don’t speak these languages…

Well…there you have it! The author at the Christian Post LIED!

We might need to ask, why is Wycliffe doing this? Could there be more reasons than the goal of appeasing Muslims? Could it be for the money as well? They may have made some extra cash with this inaccurate translation being sent to Muslim countries. But will they survive the wrath of Christian denominations that object to them changing not only the text of the Bible, but also the theology of God’s Word?   Such a heretical action is highly egregious – to say the least!

Let’s see what the Bible has to say about adding or subtracting from God’s Word:

Pro 30:5

Every word of God is pure;
He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.

Pro 30:6

Do not add to His words,
Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.

Rev 22:18

For [fn] I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add [fn] to him the plagues that are written in this book;

Rev 22:19

and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away [fn] his part from the Book [fn] of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Update at 10:00 a.m. PT on Thursday, January 22, 2015:

For more information regarding where, how, and why and when “chrislam” started, see:

Now The End Begins: Rick Warren’s Chrislam Starts To Spread In America

In an (admitted) photoshopped church marquee at Now The End Begins, there is the word, “Chrislamic.”

Without the “t” chrislam is NOT about Jesus Christ! It’s more about submission to the false god of Islam and thus creating a lukewarm, watered down faith.

“And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” Revelation 3:14-16

False Prophets and their “Doctrines of Demons”

January 20, 2015

HT for graphic:  darrellcreswellfileswordpress.com

Dear Readers,

It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that Christians [who genuinely want to know and follow Jesus Christ and God’s Word, the Bible] be equipped with the TRUTH; as well as the ability to discern truth from error, which is currently raging within our culture today.  False prophets are wreaking havoc because they are presenting “doctrines of demons” – which is the warning given in the following Bible verse:

1Ti 4:1

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,

Be sure to read the entire chapter: Blue Letter Bible: 1 Timothy 4:1-16 [Also posted at the end of this blog post.]

This is a post that has been created from a comment thread about the Paris attack by radical Islamic terrorists. I would like to encourage EVERYONE to read this post and view the two REALLY IMPORTANT TV video programs included so below, so that you will be more readily informed about what is happening today! It is essential to know the TRUTH that is in God’s Word, the Bible!  The truth is revealed and known through Jesus Christ, His Son!  The truth is protected within His flock by the Holy Spirit of God in order to reject the “doctrines of demons” being presented today!  The truth is revealed in the Bible and heresy and apostasy is thus avoided.  How can false doctrine be recognized when it is being perpetrated by some false prophets of the “Christian” left?  The evidence is obvious when they demonstrate that they have departed from the true faith of Jesus Christ and the true Gospel!  Individuals can only know the difference when they have read and studied the Word of God – otherwise, they can easily be “tossed to and fro” (as warned in Ephesians 4) in waves of false doctrine.

Comment thread conversation that led to this post:

Christine:

Let’s start with what we both can agree on.

You [GMPilot] wrote:

The chief difference is that Muslims have not learned to exist alongside a secular society. Neither their religion nor their culture has prepared them for this, because it can’t.

After the horrors of WWII, I had hoped we’d learned something from that. But we haven’t; we’ve just turned our antagonisms to another people, and to their beliefs.

Christine:

However, I think that you are missing the point of my posts when it comes to sharing the dangers of radical Islam. It isn’t to unnecessarily “turn our antagonisms to another people and to their beliefs.” The situation is – what it is! People need to face the truth about what the Sunni and Shia brands of Islam believe – and what they want to accomplish. All of the terrorist groups with their different names take the writings of their Koran literally.   And, if you would read about what is written in their so-called “holy” book, it contains the “kill, steal, and destroy” mantra that you [GMPilot] brought up in the past that was hurled upon Jews by Catholicism.

Granted, anti-Semitism can exist amongst any group, including misled “Christians.” But born-again, Bible believing and Christ following Christians depart from such hatred and heretical thinking about the Jews. We know that the Israelites of the Old Testament were God’s chosen people, through which the Messiah – Yeshua (Hebrew name for Jesus)  –  would come into the world to save people from their sins. At the same time, true Christians know that Jesus will return one day on the Mount of Olives, thus we believe in spiritual Zionism.

It is today’s “Christian leftists” who rail against Zionism (there are two kinds – one political and one spiritual) because they blame the Jews for all of the problems around the world – especially when it comes to the made-up group known as “Palestinians.” But that’s another topic for another day.

To find out the Koran verses that promote jihad (includes to kill, steal and destroy), please view:

Jack Van Impe Program #1502 – 1/10/15

Knowing the Word of God and the Son of God, protects us from those who would apostate Christendom.  This is especially true of Islam – which is busy slaughtering Christians and destroying churches. [GM – I never hear anything from you about this – you choose to ignore the horrible atrocities being committed by radical Islam around the world.]

Also, the above video reveals the fact that there are some Bible translators who are “appeasing” Muslims by taking the words, “Son of God” out of their “new” Bible translation!

Also see: Now The End Begins: New Bible Versions REMOVE ‘Father’ and ‘Son Of God’ Because It Offends Muslims

Even the liberal leftist Huffington Post wrote about it! [Search that site with this title: “Wycliffe Bible Translation Criticized Over Trinity Word Substitution In Muslim Countries.”]  I do not want to link to them.

To find out about the leftist “Christians” who are attempting to change the truth of Biblical Christianity, and how the “Issa” of Islam (Islam’s version of Jesus) is NOT the Jesus Christ of the Bible, please view:

Jack Van Impe: Program #1503 – 1/17/2015

In the above broadcast, we find out how “the purpose driven church” written by Rick Warren has steered many Christians away from the truth of Biblical Christianity. Warren wants to “honor” the Muslims, thus he is creating “Chrislam.” That is apostacy and heresy! It has caused much havoc!

Warren doesn’t teach proper doctrine! And he isn’t the only one – there are many doing that in different ways.

2Ti 3:16

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

2Ti 3:17

that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2Ti 4:2

Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.

2Ti 4:3

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;

2Ti 4:4

and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

Jhn 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Jhn 14:7

“If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”

I know that you [GMPilot] don’t care about this, but perhaps readers here will need to know about it.

1Ti 4:1

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,

1Ti 4:2

speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron,

1Ti 4:3

forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

1Ti 4:4

For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving;

1Ti 4:5

for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

1Ti 4:6

If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed.

1Ti 4:7

But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness.

1Ti 4:8

For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.

1Ti 4:9

This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance.

1Ti 4:10

For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, [fn] because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.

1Ti 4:11

These things command and teach.

1Ti 4:12

Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, [fn] in faith, in purity.

1Ti 4:13

Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

1Ti 4:14

Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.

1Ti 4:15

Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.

All Have the Same Need

January 15, 2015

HT for graphic:  Jesus.Christ.org

As I read today’s Turning Point devotional (below), it became crystal clear as to why Jesus called his disciples (as well as every born-again Christian throughout history) to go into all the world and preach the Gospel of salvation.

Read the many times that Scripture informs us of this duty:

Blue Letter Bible: Preach the Gospel

The following verse was stated by Jesus after His Resurrection from the dead, and prior to His Ascension to the Father in heaven.

Mat 28:19

“Go therefore [fn] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

In addition to sharing the Gospel and baptizing with water, we are also called to teach:

Mat 28:20

“teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. [fn]

However, when you read the entire chapter of Matthew 28, we find out the following:

1. The two Marys came to the tomb.
2. There was a great earthquake, and an angel descended from heaven
3. The guards shook with so much fear that they became like “dead men.”
4. The angel said to the women:
a. Do not be afraid.
b. I know you seek Jesus who was crucified
c. He is not here, for He is risen
d. Come, see the place where the Lord lay
e. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead,
f. Indeed He is going before you into Galilee
g. there you will see Him
h. Behold, I have told you

The two Marys quickly left to tell the disciples what had happened. They had “fear and great joy!” The term “fear” in that verse means, according to Strong’s Concordance of the Greek:

“(to be put in fear); alarm, or fright – be afraid + exceedingly, fear, terror.” The “great joy” portion states, “cheerfulness, i.e. calm delight – gladness, x greatly, (x be exceedingly) joy(-ful, -fully, fullness, -ous).

In their minds, these women went from one emotion (fear) to the opposite emotion of great joy!

In fact, they were rewarded with actually seeing the Risen Christ first!

Mat 28:9

And as they went to tell His disciples, [fn] behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Rejoice!” So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him.

Mat 28:10

Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me.”

What a contrast from the reaction of the guards who had so much fear that they became like “dead men.” What was going on in the guards’ minds?  Probably how they were going to tell the chief priests, who had told them to keep watch at the tomb.  Did they fear what might be done to them for failing to carry out that order?  Later in Matthew 28, we find out.

Mat 28:11

Now while they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city and reported to the chief priests all the things that had happened.

Mat 28:12
When they had assembled with the elders and consulted together, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,

Mat 28:13

saying, “Tell them, ‘His disciples came at night and stole Him away while we slept.’

Mat 28:14

“And if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will appease him and make you secure.”

Mat 28:15

So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

We see that a  lie was concocted by the chief priests were done in order to appease the governor and make the guards secure. The same lie  “is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.”

HT for graphic:  i2.wp.com

Matthew tells of the reactions of the disciples.

Mat 28:16

Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them.

Mat 28:17

When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.

Even amongst those who saw the risen Christ and “worshipped Him;” there were “some [who] doubted!” That is an honest admission by the Word of God, showing us that even amongst those who might profess to believe in Jesus, there will be those who choose to doubt! That is a crisis of faith – and we see it very plainly in today’s world.

Heb 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Read the entire chapter of Hebrews 11 and notice how throughout biblical history, believers in the God of the Bible did what they did by faith!  Hebrews 11 also described the longsuffering that many of faith in Yahweh, (who were looking forward to the arrival of the coming Messiah), and then also those in the New Testament who had faith in Jesus Christ, had to endure.

No matter what Christians have to endure here in this fallen world, we have the joy of salvation and look forward to getting through “the race” that is put before us because “the author and finisher of our faith resides at the right hand of the throne of God!”

Heb 12:1

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

Heb 12:2

looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Dr. Jeremiah’s devotion for today explains that all have the same need for Jesus Christ; and that include the rich or poor, the famous or common, the weak or powerful.

Same Need, Same Call

And as [Jesus] walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”
Mark 1:16-17

Recommended Reading: Mark 2:15-17

“Brother Dave Gardner,” a stand-up comedian active in the 1960s, had a favorite saying: “God must have really loved the common people because He made so many of them!” Conversely, it was mostly common people who were attracted to Jesus during His ministry. He even called twelve common men to be His first disciples.

God loves the poor and powerful alike, of course. But sometimes wealth and power can insulate man from seeing his need for God’s love. That’s why Jesus said He came not to call the healthy and wealthy, but the sin-sick souls who recognized their need for salvation (Mark 2:17). Jesus demonstrated and taught that the kingdom of God is not based on rank or class but on spiritual willingness to embrace God’s presence. Jesus ministered to everyone, poor and powerful alike, but it was crowds of common folk who followed Him, not crowds of the wealthy.

Don’t let poverty or wealth, averageness or exceptionality, keep you from Jesus (Proverbs 30:7-9). His call goes to each one alike, as all have the same need.

The two great tests of character are wealth and poverty.

Christ identified himself in the Synagogue, as recorded in Luke:

Luk 4:18

“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, [fn]
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;

Luk 4:19

To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.” [fn]

Luk 4:20

Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him.

Luk 4:21

And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

Christ’s instructions to us:

Jesus said:

Mat 28:19

“Go therefore [fn] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Mat 28:20

“teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. [fn]

How Muslim Enclaves are Spreading Across the US

January 14, 2015

Ht for graphic: Patriot Depot

If you don’t think that this is highly disturbing, then you are not paying attention!!!

Fox News Channel had a segment on the “no-go zones” that are being created right here in the United States of America!

Please watch the following video:

How Muslim Enclaves are Spreading Across the U.S.

Also see the many articles over at The Christian Action Network

America is suffering from the rise of Islamism, but we have also been suffering from the double threat of Islam and Communism! Don’t let the so-called phony and deceptive words like “liberalism, socialism, and progressivism” fool you. All of those aberrant ideologies lead to dictatorships: including communism and totalitarianism. [Millennials and younger – please read an accurate book on World War II]!

If this doesn’t concern you, then you NEED TO WAKE UP AMERICA!!!

Many TV show anchors over at Fox News Channel are asking why this Zero BADministration cannot say that we are at war with RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORISM!  Why is that?  Oh – we hear all of the silly reasons why leftists don’t want to “label” all terrorism as “Islamic,” but take a good look at my friend Steve’s blog post which includes a List of Islamic Terror Attacks For the Past 30 Days!!

I have written several comments in the thread over there, but would like to highlight the following exchange:

[Written to blog owner Steve]:

I hope that you were encouraged by the Bible verses that I shared. You have a VERY difficult job addressing people like that liberal blogger who spewed so much venom against you and against all Christians and Conservatives; while they blatantly, and obviously choose to ignore the evil and danger of Islam.

Recall this photo that I had on my blog in the past?

The Bible reveals why groups like communists (a.k.a. liberals, programmed-regressives) and Islamists can fight on same side, and then destroy each other!
They are in line with the lies of Satan and his goal here on earth – to steal, destroy, and kill the people of God in order to create some imagined “utopia” that could never exist.

Jesus Himself informs us:

Jhn 10:10

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy

Christine, you really are too kind. I’m just a regular guy with a multitude of faults. I just cannot stand people who fight to murder unborn children and then fight equally as hard to spare the lives of some of the sickest people guilty of the worse crimes imaginable. Siding with Islamists who will hang or burn alive gay folks … but then attack Christians simply because they disagree with the gay life-style.
They are willfully ignorant and arrogant about it.

Steve, the Lord searches our hearts and looks for those who are willing to fight against evil and fight for the Kingdom of Christ. None of us are perfect – only Jesus is. However, we are called into ministry based upon the spiritual gifts that are given to us. You obviously have a strong heart in fighting for unborn lives and for upholding the sanctity of one man and one woman marriage – that was originally created, sanctioned, and blessed by God.

You are absolutely correct when you wrote

“They are willfully ignorant and arrogant about it.”

When you wrote:

“Siding with Islamists who will hang or burn alive gay folks … but then attack Christians simply because they disagree with the gay life-style.”

You revealed the utter hypocrisy of the programmed-regressives who claim that they represent “progress” (when in reality they are stuck in the old “isms” of the past like communism, Nazism, and totalitarianism) and are proud of their so-called “liberalism” – which is actually the polar opposite of LIBERTY.

That photo I shared in this comment thread was taken at a “world can’t wait” socialist/Islamic anti-Israel rally back in 2004. That sign stating “Thank you S.F. liberals – you die last” being held by an obviously radical (or wannabe) Islamist, walking alongside a red-shirt commie (notice murderer Che Guevara’s likeness on the shirt) marching in one of the homosexual capitals of the world – San Fransicko – represented the dire, onerous, and deadly prediction of what we would be facing in the future (today!) regarding the (as you wrote) “willful ignorance and arrogance” of the far-leftist fanatics who are, unfortunately, now in so many areas of power within our nation. SICKENING!!!

Years ago, I warned people via my former blog (at Bl00ger) that the homosexual political agenda was going to end up attempting to destroy Christian free speech and the right to raise our children as the Bible informs. Today, sexual depravity – in all of it’s forms – are being taught in schools and the legal actions against Christian believers are destroying our rights in parenting, schooling our kids, free speech (even in churches!), freedom of association in businesses run by Christians, the right to believe in traditional man/woman marriage, and the list goes on and on. I never thought that it would go as far as it has – that believing in traditional marriage would be labeled as “hateful.”

Back in Feb. 2014, I was listening to Rush Limbaugh’s radio show. He was discussing this topic. A caller claimed that we should “follow the money” on this issue. Rush, at first, seemed to balk at the idea. Rush’s thinking was similar to ours – the homosexual agenda’s desire is to crush Christian beliefs in the public domain and replace it with humanistic idolatry and perversion. Of course that is true, but the caller takes it even further. It became very clear that gaining money to promote their cause(s) certainly is a motive for these lawsuits! It’s not just all about fighting against “discrimination”. That is the excuse they use in order to thwart religious liberty, while at the same time gain money by winning cases in court. And, what do they do with that money? Continue to spread their propaganda (much of which is equal to communist propagandist goals) to the unsuspecting. This is all under the guise of preventing “discrimination.” Such individuals believe that they are being “kind,” “supporting,” “high minded,” “noble” and magnanimous towards the homosexual community; when all the while such individuals taken into the “collective” don’t know that they have been trapped in satan’s snare and are dragging these unrepentant sinners as well as themselves down into a gutter of eternal doom.

It’s all just one of satan’s biggest lies – after all, Lucifer turned satan had the goal all along to subvert God’s authority and his motive was power in order to get people to “bow down before” him. How sad it is that so many believe this craven and dastardly disguised pro-homosexual agenda lie. They have a veil over their eyes, propaganda instilled into their minds, and an evil trick destroying their hearts, minds, spirits and souls. This particular strategy of darkness is so strong it’s to the point that they can’t even see the deception! Ultimately, if they don’t awake from their stupor, they will lose their chance at redemption.

So we can see why the Saul Alinsky communist agenda is so loved by the programmed-regressives – a.k.a. leftist liberal lunatics – which so easily mixes and combines with the radical Islamic terrorist agenda! These evil ideologies both have the same goals – destruction of our U.S. Constitution and Republic here in America, power with allegiance to Lucifer (became satan) as their ugly, evil and destructive “champion,” and the beyond greedy love of MONEY. This current BADministration Encourages Radical Islamic Terrorists! What’s more, there is There’s No Such Thing as a “Self-Radicalized” Islamic Terrorist!

Why do we not have a strategy to fight radical Islamic terrorism?
Excerpt from above link:

Despite what the liberal media idiots say, this IS about the religion of Islam. The attacks we saw in Paris are a direct threat against the western world, and they were perpetrated by those who have an extremist Muslim political agenda.

Obama’s ‘Strategy’ Against Radical Islam Nonexistent

Although the liberals don’t want to admit this either, we have no strategy to fight against radical Islam. This was even said by General Jack Keane during his interview on Fox News Friday morning: “they have not defined the enemy in terms of radical Islam.” And we all know it is almost impossible to fight an enemy that you have simply not defined.

Each of these terrible ideologies – both the socialist/commie leftist plague being instilled in our nation as well as the radical Islamic terrorism appeasement being pushed upon us by this BADministration, are all at war against the God of the Bible, His Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit of God;  who can transform sinners into redeemed believers in Christ for salvation!

We were so blessed by God at the founding of our nation; precisely because God was worshipped and His Word was shared as THE beacon of truth, liberty, and justice for all!  The pressure to send America into the grip of evil over the decades (through the “isms” listed)  has gotten far worse over the past 30 years or so.  The days of Reagan in the White House were seen by most Americans as such a wonderful era!

I continue to pray for our nation – that it will survive past this awful excuse for a pResident (and his cronies and puppeteers), so that we can begin re-building our beloved United States of America towards what our Founding Fathers created for us – namely – our Constitutional Republic!

Hat tips to all links.

Stand Tall For Christ

1 Corinthians 16:13

Talk Wisdom

Talk Wisdom's goal is to defend the tenets and values of Biblical Christian faith. We defend our Constitutional Republic and Charters of Freedom, especially when speaking out against destructive social and political issues. As followers of our Savior and Lord, we should boldly stand up for Jesus Christ in our present circumstances. He is our Savior, Lord, and King, and His love needs to be shed abroad in our hearts and in our world - now.

Truth2Freedom's Blog

Faith in Jesus Christ is our response to God's elective purpose in our life. These two truths--God's initiative and man's response--co-exist throughout the Bible. The gospel is "the message of truth" because truth is its predominant characteristic. Salvation was conceived by the God of truth (Ps. 31:5); purchased by the Son, who is the truth (John 14:6); and is applied by the Spirit of truth (John 16:13). To know it is to know the truth that sets men free (John 8:32). Believers are people of the truth (John 18:37), who worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24), and who obey the Word of truth (John 17:17). People have rejected, neglected, redefined, and opposed God’s truth for centuries. Some cynically deny that truth even exists or that it can be known by men (John 18:38). Others foolishly think that denying truth will somehow make it go away. Truth determines the validity of one's belief. Believing a lie doesn't make it true. Conversely, failing to believe the truth doesn't make it a lie. The gospel is true because Jesus is true, not simply because Christians believe in Him. His resurrection proved the truth of His claims and constitutes the objective basis of our faith (Rom. 1:4; 1 Pet. 1:3). Truth is our protection and strength (Eph. 6:14). Throughout history, people have tried everything imaginable to gain favor with God. Most turn to religion, but religion apart from Christ is merely a satanic counterfeit of the truth. At the heart of every false religion is the notion that man can come to God by any means he chooses--by meditating, doing good deeds, and so on. But Scripture says, "There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). That name is Jesus Christ, and we come to Him by confessing and repenting of our sin, trusting in His atoning death on the cross, and affirming His bodily resurrection from the grave (cf. Rom. 10:9-10). There is no other way to God. False religious leaders and teachers talk much about God’s love, but not His wrath and holiness; much about how deprived of good things people are, but not about their depravity; much about God’s universal fatherhood toward everyone, but not much about his unique fatherhood toward all who believe in His Son; much about what God wants to give to us, but nothing about the necessity of obedience to Him; much about health and happiness, but nothing about holiness and sacrifice. Their message is full of gaps, the greatest of which leaves out a biblical worldview of the saving gospel and replaces it with the worldview of postmodernism with its dominant ethical system of relativism. The Bible describes mankind in the end times: “always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth” (2 Tim. 3:7). Spiritual answers cannot be deduced by human reason alone (1 Cor. 2:14). It’s not that spiritual truth is irrational or illogical, but that human wisdom is defective, because it’s tainted by man’s sinfulness, and unable to perceive the things of God. That is why the Bible is so important. It gives us the answers we can’t find on our own. It is God’s Word to mankind. Scripture is divinely revealed truth that fills the vacuum of spiritual ignorance in all of us. Post-truth is the word of the year for 2016 and also the philosophy of the day, According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. In a “post-truth” world, people make choices based on emotion and experience rather than objective fact. So in a post-truth world, truth is irrelevant. What exactly is a post-truth culture? It’s a culture where truth is no longer an objective reality. It has become subjective. It’s what’s true for me—my beliefs, my opinions, determine my truth. So in our post-truth culture, man determines truth. Man makes himself the ultimate authority. This starting point, which rejects God’s Word and the idea of moral absolutes, makes truth subjective. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Christianity is grounded in objective truth. “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). Objective truth exists because we have God’s Word. In the Gospel of John, Jesus says, “Sanctify them by Your truth. Thy word is truth” (John 17:17), and Paul and James describe the Bible as “the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15; James 1:18). The Psalmist says, “The entirety of your word is truth” (Psalm 119:160). Jesus Himself said, “For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice” (John 18:37). When Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except by me” (John 14:6), He wasn’t expressing His personal belief or opinion. He was speaking the truth, a fundamental reality that doesn’t change from person to person. It doesn’t matter if our culture thinks all roads lead to God. The truth of the matter is “no one comes to the Father but by [Jesus].” This blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." - George Orwell
